We took our Lexus ES350 to this Big O because it had a road noise in the front and it was time for the first rotation on the tires we had bought from them anyway. They told us that the tires had "cupped" in the short time they had been on the car due to worn out struts, and that's where the noise was coming from. They offered to install new struts for just over $1800. I'm not a professional mechanic, but I've put enough wheel bearings in to know when I hear a bad one. I passed on their offer and we drove the car for approximately 2000 miles as the noise worsened. Finally, to ease my mind I put two different tires on the front. The noise didn't change. We'd moved to Indiana since their diagnosis, and when the noise got so bad it sounded like the car wasn't going to make it, we took it to the Big O in New Albany. $406 and three hours later, we were back on the road with a new front passenger wheel bearing in our silent car. read more

Terrible service that left me in a bind. I have been going to this shop since 2014. Took my truck in to get my leak fixed. They told me it was a water pump. Estimated the price at 325. I ended up paying 505 for them to crack the metal member holding my compressor on, then told they never took the bottom radiator hose clamp off, that has tore off 1/4 inch of my belt. After all that explained to me it has a rear main seal leak with nothing they could do about it. Highly recommend anyone local to take their business anywhere else. read more

I called to get my son's power steering looked at. I was immediately told since it was electric I would have to take it to the dealer. I was trying to save on towing. Well $300 later in a tow bill, the Hardinsburg Big O got me fixed up in no time. A simple 5 minute fix. To be the GM, you sure didnt know what you was talking about. Bad business. ​ read more

They do not keep decent records... had purchased brakes with "lifetime pads" unfortunately the paperwork faded and was unreadable.... they do not use computers and do not keep records orderly... wonder why? All ofter auto shops keep computers and accurate records of their customers. Another thing... the modern building that the "business owner" has uploaded to represent this business is -not- the building the actual business photo... the warehouse is not from this location either. The only actual photo that is representative of the location is the one with the red sports car, and the building in that picture still looks newer than this actual location. Be wary... I do not recommend, nor will ANY of us be back EVER. read more

What can I say? After over 20 years of doing business with them, we are done. We are very patient and forgiving people, but enough is enough. Here is a list of almost everything that these inept "technicians" have done on 7 different vehicles we've owned- left drum cover off brake, repeatedly over torqued causing lug stems and nuts to fail, did not re-install all lug nuts on 3 tires causing stem breakage (almost causing a wreck), repeatedly using air tools improperly causing damage to wheels, not returning wheel lock master, blaming the rounding of lug nuts on 2 manufacturers (although we've had 5 different makes and it's happened to all 7 vehicles). Trying to make us pay $100 for new lug nuts just for their technicians to repeatedly cause the same damage after 2 rotations is the most asinine thing we've ever heard. No thank you, we're off the wheel of insanity and will be taking our business elsewhere. Went in for a tire rotation on my truck and was told by the sales rep that I needed brakes. I asked to go back and look at the brakes and as I approached the vehicle the repairman whispered to me the that I did not need brakes. Kudos to the honest repairman and shame on the sales guy. read more

I went up there to have some work done and they told me my battery was bad. Even though they didn't have the correct tools to effectively diagnose the battery. They said it was dead and they didn't touch it after that. The second I went to pick up my truck. I grabbed the key and turned my truck on. Imagine that. The look alon their faces were priceless. Then they continued to try to lie straight to my face and shift the blame off of them. They are liars and also. The past two times I've been up there they've tried to charge me for parts and labor they didn't even do. They are crooks and i will never be bringing my truck up there ever again. The service is impeccable, prices fair, they won't try to sell you things you don't need and the honesty out the roof. For most of this time, Stephanie Bright has been taking care of me. Ok first of all, these guys are shady as hell. I bought tires a year and a half ago, paid for road hazard expecting that if I needed it I could use it. My wife caught a nail in her tire and so I take it up there to get it fixed and the guy says that they didn't sell me those tires even though I had my receipt and had the wrong tire written on it.They been balanced a few months before this. Would not look up my account to check if a mistake had been made...not even attempt it. So today I am taking the tire to get a patch in it and come to find out that the tire had been patched on the sidewall and sold to me, REALLY!!!!! We have done business with big o for years but I will never again and oh yes check your receipts to make sure you don't do what I did. Expensive lesson. read more

Love this big o , even though i was told i needed a new head gasket on my husband's car. Turns out it was spark plugs & something else but definitely didn't need a new head gasket. I think someone was trying to pocket money , overall its a decent place. read more
