Sometimes you'll have an actual certified mechanic (me) bring their vehicle (my vehicle) to you for things to be done with proper equipment such as road force balancing my wheels and a proper alignment. Machines I don't have the money for. I dropped off my vehicle for a scheduled road force wheel balance and alignment. Dropped off first thing in the morning. The staff called later in the day stating they cannot do the wheel balancing nor the alignment because some things in my suspension were worn out and need to be replaced.....I'm not sure what that has to do with preventing you from doing a road force balance but sure ok. I asked what was wrong with the suspension because I had just completed installing all brand new suspension parts such as: upper and lower control arms with ball joints, sway bar bushings, sway bar links, tie rods with tie rod ends, brake calipers, brake rotors, brake pads, Bilstein shocks....just to name a few. All done at one time. The staff here told me my tie rod ends needed to be replaced and are loose and boots leaking and other things were loose and needed to be "fixed"... Maybe I missed something cause I'm nowhere near perfect, so I brought it back home and double checked everything. Not a single thing loose nor missing. Tie rod end boots dry as a popcorn fart and tight as can be. So I took it to another place to double check to make sure I'm not going crazy and they confirmed that everything was still brand new looking and feeling and everything appeared to be installed properly (let's not forget I'm an actual mechanic). The staff at this location also told me that my brake rotors need to be replaced and are "beyond the 5mm unsafe wear"....not to sound like a broke record here but again, brand new....less than 6,000 miles on them. The staff stated they could do these repairs and I said nope, I'll take it back to the man who did the work and make him redo it (me). As I was picking it up, I asked what do I owe for this "diagnosis" and I was told absolutely nothing because they don't like to charge for work that they didn't do and want to build a reputation of taking care of people and their cars. They just want to make sure my vehicle gets properly taken care of while it's there and just want to be honest about anything they find. I was told to make sure I bring it back there when I get those things fixed and they'll make sure I'm taken care of and my vehicle gets the attention it needs.....barf. Some things can be seen right through like a clear window. I don't know what the staff here considers themselves but I'd venture to say that "mechanic" is a stretch. Some times you're going to have a customer come in there that actually does know what they're talking about....just make sure you're not lying to that person. This whole ordeal was a "make the customer feel good" campaign with only dollar signs in the sights and wrong expectations. I used to love this place. Now, it's honestly one of the worst and I'm not going back. Sad really. All I got from this visit was a waisted day without my vehicle and frustration. It only took them 45 mins to do everything and while they worked on my car I was able to go get some shopping done at the dollar general literally steps away. I came with the proper headlight, had auto zone look in the system down to the trim package. I Told Jennifer I'd be happy to buy vavolines if that was easier. He said they didn't have my light bulb in stock. Jennifer and the Vavoline staff took out my high beam light. I could see Jennifer signaling ("hand cutting neck") the young man who was under my hood to "stop". Lied to my face saying the person who sold me the light gave me the incorrect one. I looked online to verify. Ask Jennifer which one they took out as autozone and Google says the one he told me I needed was for high beam (which still worked) . His response "all of us have fat hands and can't access the low beam. It's really far down there." I said so "I do have the correct bulb." He closed my hood and signaled me out of the bay. I'm disappointed, I drive out of my way to patronize this location because I've previously loved this LaGrange location. But this is the second time I've come to this location and not been able to receive seamless service. First time they drained my oil and didn't have any oil filters to fit my vehicle. I can without a doubt say I won't be back. If they couldn't change the light, fine. But why lie? They're dishonest. Sad to say, this location is going downhill.

This is going to be kind of a long post about Quick Care Oil Lube Express Off of Bloomfield road…read moreand their "work". I have picture proof below of everything. Let me preface by saying this first. The work they did was done the last week of January this year. Ever since then i have had issues with my car. I understand it is now the end of june but i have not had the money to take my car to a shop to get looked at as we moved across the country to colorado in february. The car was towed on a dolly during our move, so it was not driven across the country. Thankfully with some assistance from my amazing mother i was able to buy a car shortly after moving here and my beetle (the car they worked on) has mostly been sitting since we moved. After getting my REAR brakes worked on in january i left the shop the first time and i couldn't stop my car without pressing the brake petal all the way to the floor (almost as if the brakes were not bled). I brought the car back immediately and after they looked at it again and was told i needed to take it to a VW dealership because they couldnt fix the issue. They bled the brakes and the issue was slightly better but not much better at all. I still had to push the brake petal down a significant amount. I then took a short trip to etown and then my FRONT tire almost fell completely off. Every single lug nut was not properly tightened down and due to this THREE of them fell off while i was driving. Thankfully it happened when i got into etown and not while going down boston road, as the road is curvy and lined with trees on both sides. Then not even a month after this work was done, the car began to make a horrible grinding sound on the left rear side (the side on which the brakes where worked on). By this time i had already moved to colorado so taking the car back to them was not an option. And i had just gotten my new (used) car at this point so like i stated earlier thats why the car has sat until now. Fast forward to now... I now finally have enough money to get the car taken to get looked at. Well here are the findings of what was done by them. The left rear caliper bolt is missing, this is causing metal on metal grinding. I will now need new brake pads, calipers and rotors. This is going to cost me $1,300. This is all due to the half ass work done by quick care. I am extremely upset as i do not have the money to even come close to fixing this issue and will end up having to sell the car due to this. This was the first car i ever purchased by myself so i am extremely upset that i will now have to sell it. I am extremely disappointed in quick care as i have had a few oil changes done by them and had an excellent experience every time, well until now. So... if you want good work done, steer clear of quick care.

The manager asked the mechanic about it but he denied it and they offered to do nothing. Later we compared the paint on our bumper to the safety post and it was the same. They tried to claim the paint did not match "Bull". This is a Bad business, bad mechanic and bad Manager. They are dishonest people and I will make sure we tell everyone we can to not do business with this Fern Creek location.

This was a few days from thanksgiving, and first couple places I called wasn't able to squeeze us in. This place was! Khalid saw the van, found the problem, and his brother Muhammad confirmed it and showed me the replacement part. The oil filter housing is made of plastic so over time it will crack and leak. Seems to be a common problem for this engine that fortunately they had the part on hand. Ram dealership also confirmed it's a common issue. Anyways, it was a big job, so wasn't cheap, but they were able to give it replaced with an aluminum part which is recommended so this won't happen again, and best of all, that day. We're completely grateful we were able to make to home in time for thanksgiving. Lastly, big thanks to Muhammad for loaning us a car. When he saw that we weren't local and were traveling with dogs, he lent us a car, no charge, so we can get to a motel. And one more thing, I had the van inspected at the Ram dealership, and there said no leaks or any issues for the oil filter housing, so the install was done well!
