We we're driving on the way home to Southern California when my car experience trouble. We located this store and as soon as we came in, they took our car in right away. John spent more time on it than we paid and he came out to talk with us several times and test drove it twice to analyze and narrow it down to the problem. I had feared it was something horrible, and he narrowed it down to something that was manageable and within an hour and a half we were back on the road on our way. This tire shop is a disgrace employees all have a shitty attitude went in for a flat repair they ruined a brand new wheel, but did replace it. I ordered tires for my car in Idaho Falls and had to do to Mesquite prior to their arrival and picked up a nail. I go to Big O and after an hour they tell me the tread is too low so they can't repair it. The tread too low on the very center, ok about an inch out from center, and could easily handle the 650 miles back to Idaho Falls. The employee says they can't (won't) fix it for my safety and they didn't even have the tire if I wanted a new one. So what was my option? To leave. I wasn't happy and the employee said he'd type up in the notes how angry I got so I asked him to look in the notes and see how many thousands of dollars I pay for tires every single year at Big O. Now the topper, it was a slow leak so I asked the employee if they had filled it with air, he said yes but it was leaking so fast I might not make it home. So I left with 8 pounds of pressure in my tire, I guess they think that is safe. I added air and in two hours it lost one pound of air - so it's clear lying is something they do there as well. Avoid this store at all costs and I love Big O, just not this one. read more

Watch this place they're crooked! I went in for a new battery on my Nissan Sentra and the guy comes out test the battery and tells me immediately within five seconds. My alternator is bad. He suggest I buy one from them and change it out at the cost of $925, I decided to get a second opinion and I went to Napa and I went to another shop in town and they both told me the battery was the problem and not the alternator. I am going to pursue a complaint against Big O tires with the appropriate authorities. read more

Don't like leaving reviews like this but seems this business pretty much forced it. I booked twice online to have tires rotated and brakes checked. Both times my appointments were cancelled and no attempt to reschedule. I went in today and was told "no problem will have it in an hour." Gave my info to go ahead with it and told them I would be back. Arrive back approx 40 minutes later. I waited 1 1/2 hours and all they kept telling me was "you are next." Or would run in the shop to avoid talking to me. I asked for my keys back. I am new here and guess I will be looking for a new shop for my 6 vehicles unfortunately. read more

we are traveling from Texas to play golf in Nevada and Utah. Friday, a new tire needed to be purchased on my 2023 Infiniti. We stopped in to this Big O to purchase a new tire at 4:00. We were told they had closed out all the tickets and couldn't sell us a tire. After my pleading with the young Hispanic man, he said he had one CHEAP tire but couldn't guarantee it. This place is a joke made an appointment to get a tire fixed that had a piece of steel in the middle of the tread.When I got there they claimed I didn't make an appointment lying to customers is fantastic customer service then they told me it would be awhile before they could get to it.I told them no thanks there are other places in Mesquite. I left and went to Roadrunner Tires and Alignment on lower flat top road in the truck stop without an appointment was done in 15 minutes and put the repaired tire back on my truck and the spare back under I doubt Big O would of put the repaired tire back on my truck remember tires have sensors these days and when the spare was on there was all kinds of warnings on the dash. read more

I was driving home on a Sunday from Salt Lake City to Las Vegas when my right front tire blew out. I was panicked and freaking out but somehow I was able to make it to the Mesquite exit. Thankfully Big O was open (for just 30 more minutes)! It was great timing, if you can call it that. I came puttering in with a bent rim and the two older gentlemen working the desk couldn't have been more helpful. It would've been easy for them to try to rip me off, a woman traveling alone in a very desperate situation. Instead, they were kind and listened to me and clearly explained my options. I drive a MINI and the hubcabs have weird bolts and the mechanics couldn't find the proper screwdriver in the kit in my car. I tried calling MINI and they were zero help, but eventually the guys figured out where to look. This should dock them two stars because tire guys ought to know where to look for stuff like that in every make and model, but at least they got it to work. I ended up replacing all four tires because all of them were worn out and ready to blow (I knew about this and had been putting it off, lesson learned), and I wanted all of them to match. I got mid-range tires because I'm planning to sell my car soon, so there was no need to go super high end. The entire process, including the ridiculous mishap with the screwdriver, took all of 90 minutes. Not bad considering. The waiting area and the bathroom were both clean enough, and I felt safe and secure there, even alone after dark. The price for four new tires and labor was under $450 which seemed more than fair, and my new tires came with a warranty and guarantee. I may have been a truly captive customer, but I'm happy with the product and service I received here. read more

I've used this store two times in the last 6 months for oil changes. They've completed the oil changes within their estimated time frame on both occasions. Each time, I requested that they change my windshield wiper blades. However, they haven't changed the wipers yet. I've been a customer of BIG O in another state for 30 years. Big O is very reliable and reasonably priced. I'll still use this store for oil changes and possibly tires in the future. But I'll go buy windshield wiper blades elsewhere and put them on myself. read more

Took my travel trailer in today to have them check the adjustment on the brakes. It was there a total of 1 hour 45 minutes. Was told by the manager the mechanic adjusted the brakes went to lunch and then adjusted them again. They charged me for 1.5 hours and it cost me $180. When I voiced my concern over it being excessive (I have adjusted the brakes many times and it is a simple quick process) I was basically told to pound sand. Left and the brakes feel the same as they did when I dropped it off. They have lost my business forever because now I cannot trust them. Look elsewhere for honest mechanics! read more

Had oil changed at Big O Mesquite, NV store preparing for trip next day to state of Washington. My engine blew in Galt, CA & car was towed to local Ford Dealer. It was determined Big O technician had installed the incorrect oil filter and did not install it properly. My car lost all of its oil & burned up the engine. Big O was quick to turn the problem over to their insurance carrier, Liberty Mutual and the nightmare began. It took exactly 1 month being stuck in a motel in California before a replacement engine was installed. While Liberty ended up covering all car rental and lodging expenses, it was a constant fight on every issue which would arise during the repair process. No consideration or compensation was given for the 1 month delay or inconvenience experienced. Big O refunded the cost of the oil change and that was all. Meanwhile, I missed 2 family birthdays, and a wedding. I would advise anyone to be extremely cautious before allowing Big O to perform any vehicle service or repair. As far as Liberty Mutual is concerned, like their Ad says "Only pay for what you need". Or in other words, you get what you pay for. read more

Very good service came in with a screw in my right rear tire. It was in the tread. I arrived to pay the bill. They had to pull the car in. This is the slowest Big O that I've ever been to. Arrived with no other cars in the bays, and it's been nearly an hour for an oil change and tire rotation. Seems like rather than working in my car, the guys are more interested in talking to the girl walking around the garage. I could have changed my oil in the parking lot faster than this. Life SAVERS!!!! had a tire pressure issue on the way to LA from Utah, stopped in Nevada at a gas station to put air and the sensor was still on. Worried a tire station was google and here I met Jerry Very helpful explained the issue and stated that the tire pressure indicator is located by the driver side of door. Each car is different but mostly would be 30-35 psi. Learn something new (women) LOL Best part since no patching or tire removal, he changed nothing for the service. WHAT A GUY! read more

These guys were FANTASTIC!! I got a blowout on my SUV in the canyon between St. George and Mesquite. I got my spare on and drove into Big O. I purchased my tires from Big O in Utah and I was concerned about a hassle in dealing with getting my tire fixed. It was about 2 pm and they were busy. When I got there they said, "Okay, it's a warranty fix so there will be no charge." They got their guys working on it immediately and I was done within 20 MINUTES!! Sidewall puncture required one new tire. Not in stock told it would be two days. Three days later get a call saying they ordered to wrong tire. 3 more days get a text saying my tire is ready, was told because of the mistake they'd get right on it. I waited for 20 mins, watched a few employees wander not doing much. I see my wheel so I grab it and a jack and start changing it myself. Tire is the correct size and brand but different tread, wrong tire again. Employee comes out and asked what I am doing, I asked for a manager. I explained this is the incorrect tire a second time and that I was told I'd not wait but since I was I decided to change it myself as a way to get your attention. I decided to take the different tread as the correct tire is on back order. The Manager would not allow me to keep the incorrect tire until a correct one was available, seems it was fine for him for me to be driving around with no spare tire. An employee is finally sent to get the tire on. The kid had no urgency and moved like a snail. I am 65 and could outwork this slug any day. DO NOT give this place your business. At the least I could have been offered a sale price. The manager could have used the word "sorry". He should have offered me a discount and then I would not have posted this accurate account of how unprofessional they are. read more

Stop by to have 4 tires rotated and balanced... while watching them in a waiting room... They balanced the tires going on the front but not the ones going on the back... we asked them why only the front? And was told only the front needed to be done and we don't do the back ones. This is strictly contrary what Big O put in there company guidelines and they would not back down that they were wrong and just got caught cutting corners. Manager statement... It's alright. Unfortunately this is the only "legit" mechanic shop in Mesquite/Bunkerville/Littlefield area. Kinda sucks. I'll start to say that I am what people call a backyard mechanic. There is however, some things that I have to go to the shop to do. I'm the kind of guy who always calls a place before I go there to see if they are busy. So I did that, guy on the other end of the phone said oh yeah, we will get you in right away. No... that didn't happen. It was 35 minutes before they took my car. Now I'm not going to ding that, I won't; because I have worked in a shop and stuff just happens and it gets busy from 0-60. What I will ding is the management. They do not seem kind or welcoming compared to the mechanics. The mechanics are extremely friendly and always trying to go out of their way. Management doesn't seem like that. I remember a few months ago I called in here. Asked to see how busy they are to have a vehicle inspection. I was told bring it in now that there is nobody busy. I get there, not a single person there, it's about as dead as it gets. I tell the manager what I need, he then tells me "Oh I ain't got time for that I got guys who are tied up right now". Yeah there was more than a handful of guys standing around in the bay. Just don't like the management. read more
