We took our RV to this Big O Tires location for new tires and immediately regretted it. Before even leaving the lot, my partner Paul noticed that three lug nut covers were missing and one of our RV's storage doors had been brutally damaged. No one at the shop mentioned this damage to us at all. When Paul brought it to the staff's attention, we were told they couldn't find replacement parts and couldn't fix the damage they caused. We were then forced to spend our own time and money getting repair quotes -- all of which were extremely high. We even went so far as to cross the border into Tijuana to get a more reasonable estimate, which came back at $1,500. The manager asked us to send him the quote. We did. After that? Silence. We called repeatedly, left voicemails, and followed up multiple times. Each time we managed to reach him, he claimed he'd "get back to us." He never did. Eventually, he stopped answering the phone and ignored our messages entirely. This location: Damaged our RV Failed to disclose it Took zero responsibility Wasted countless hours of our time Then outright ghosted us This is unprofessional, dishonest, and unacceptable behavior, especially when dealing with an RV that represents a major investment. Incredible Service -- They Saved Our Night! Tonight my girlfriend accidentally hit a curb about 75 miles from home around 5:30 p.m. The spare "donut" tire was only good for 50 miles at 50 mph -- not enough to get her home safely. We were in a tough spot. I called Big O Tires knowing they closed at 6 p.m. and spoke with Alex, who immediately went above and beyond. He told me if I could get the tire to him quickly, he'd take care of it -- and he absolutely delivered. I showed up just before closing, and within about 15 minutes they had a brand-new tire installed, balanced, and back on my girlfriend's car. Alex and the two guys in the shop were friendly, fast, and incredibly understanding of our situation. Even though it was right at closing time on a Saturday, they never made us feel rushed or pressured. Their professionalism, kindness, and sense of urgency turned what could've been a stressful night into a huge relief. I can't thank Alex and the team enough -- they truly went the extra mile for us. I brought my truck into a different shop to get some work done today and the shop told me that the wheel lock key was missing so they couldn't take my wheels off. That got me thinking that big O had kept the key and not returned it to me the last time they rotated my tires (approximately 2 weeks ago. So I took my time to go pick up my truck and drive it over to Big O And see. Not only did they have my key, but there was at least 50 or so. Other customer we lock keys that they had kept from other customers. They were unapologetic about wasting my time basically my whole afternoon dealing with this and don't seem to really understand that Maintaining these wheel. Keys is not only an inconvenience to customers but it could be a health hazard. Can you imagine getting a flat tire on vacation or in a bad part of town and calling to get help changing the tire and not being able to because big O kept your wheel lock key? I have use the shop many times over the years for many of my different cars and there to me has dropped to zero. I will not even bring my truck back to get my free tire rotation... I don't trust them. I am so done. So, I actually have an addition to this review because I did give this place another chance. I bought 4 tires here for my Tesla. I think I should have probably re-read my review above before doing so. What follows is my tire experience and, surprise, it was no better. I just went and counted the number of sets of tires I've purchased for my family at Big O over the years (2 different locations). That number is 15. 15 sets of tires. Zero anywhere else. I would call that loyalty. These locations used to be filled with informative, honest, customer-oriented managers. Now they are not. The last couple years have become rocky with my experiences and my current encounter will be my last with Big O. I purchased tires with a 50,000 mile warranty based upon the recommendation of the salesperson. 18,000 miles later they were wearing unevenly even though I had had an alignment done on them 9 months after purchase. I was told that they could not honor even partial warranty credit because I didn't do the alignment soon enough, even though they never told me how frequently I needed to do it. Not one word on that. And, they knew that based upon the type of car I had it's literally not possible to rotate the tires. They offered an alignment at the time of purchase but did not tell me that if I declined I would not be warranty eligible. Again, never said a word about how frequently alignments were required to maintain warranty. Not one word. Still sold me the 50,000 mile warranty which they now decline to honor thanks to requirements they failed to state. It's just sleazy - delivered with a big dose of condescending lecturing tone. No better way to describe the company. I don't know for sure if another company is going to be better, but I know one thing with 100% certainty. That is, another company CAN'T be worse. Made an appointment for 12:30 PM on a Wednesday. Dropped my car off and they let me know that my car would take about 1-1.5 hours for an oil change and tire rotation. They assured me that they would text me when my car was done, so I let them know I'd be walking around while I wait. I was completely fine with the wait time as I was hoping to get a decent walk in around the area. About 2 hours passed by and I had not received a text, so I headed back to the store to check on the status of my car. When I showed up my car was in the spot I parked it in so figured maybe they forgot to text me and it was done. I asked for an update and the lady at the front desk let me know she would check..turns out they had not even taken my car in. Didn't get an update until I asked again. My car was taken in pretty much a few mins after I inquired, so I'm guessing that they forgot about my car. Ended up being about 2.5 hours for my car to get serviced despite it being not too busy. Pretty disappointed and won't be coming to this location ever again. Huge waste of my day. The girl at the counter was nice and apologetic, so that's why I offered a Star. read more

On 2025-10-03 Big-O in Folsom performed an oil change and tire rotation for my wife's car. The tech forgot to torque the lug nuts for the left front tire. This was verified by reviewing the surveillance camera footage of the service. The next day while driving the lug nuts started to walk out. Luckily we only lost one lug nut. She was able to pull over and tighten the remaining lug nuts by hand and return to the store for a fix. If she was driving on the freeway at speed the potential for the wheel to completely fall off causing an accident could have been much higher. The end result is they replaced the missing lug nut. My suggestion... Grab a torque wrench and verify their work after having anything done to your wheels. I will now be making sure the oil plug and oil filter are tight since I have cause to question everything they have touched. read more

I am posting for visibility to let other folks like me know. this post is because i am P/O'd at Goodyear. not for their tires, for their promotions. @goodyear i bought 2 sets of 4 tires for 2 cars we own, onlined the form, submitted the receipt. got declined, why? called, repeat, called, repeat. need the shop to verify, did that, repeat 4th call today from an April submission. it is f'ing July 18. hope it is worth the $80 per car when i get done. read more

I brought my 2022 Hyundai Elantra in on 10/8/2025 for a diagnostic per warranty requirements due to me hearing a strange noise coming from what I assumed was the wheel wells -- my appointment was at 12PM, I walked in around 11:50AM and stood there for probably 10-20 minutes before someone walked in and asked if I had been helped. They had two cars in the bay and the guy who helped me was walking back from Walmart. They got me checked in, and we were talking about the warranty and that SilverRock will only cover the cheapest parts and that it could be weeks before I get my car back. I was dismayed at this information, but it is what it is and I said ok and went through with what I needed to be done. I had someone pick me up and we ran some errands while the car was being diagnosed. I got a phone call 45 minutes later asking for additional details and I gave them those details. Another hour later I had to call and ask if the car was getting serviced or if it was ready for pick up. I was told it was ready for pick up. I was also told that my "struts look great for 60,000 miles" and that they couldn't replicate the issue -- the issue that I heard as I drove away. Cut to today and I took the same car to the Cameron Park Big-O Tires and within 20 minutes they found the issue. The struts were blown and the sway (swing?) bar was warped and that's where the issue is coming from. I also contacted SilverRock myself and inquired about some things. I told them about my experience at Folsom and the agent/advocate I spoke to was appalled at what I dealt with and the fact that they told me the warranty will only cover the cheapest parts. I am further dismayed and upset that they sent me on my way from Folsom after clearly not inspecting the car outside of just driving it around trying to replicate the issue -- I mentioned on 10/7 that I was going to be going to Oakland. The staff clearly either hate their job or don't care. I'm not sure. But I will never go back to Folsom and will stick to Cameron Park where I've been going for 15+ years. Shame. read more

I recently needed new tires for my 2022 Suburban and got quotes from several different shops. Big O Tires stood out for convenience, and since my husband had used them previously with no issues, I decided to go with them. I was quoted for a few different tire options and everything seemed straightforward. Jimmy, who helped me out, was kind and professional. However, when I arrived for my appointment, the paperwork I was handed included an alignment that was not part of my original quote (GUYS, PUT THE ALIGNMENT IN THE QUOTE JUST IN CASE IT'S NEEDED). I asked about it and was told they would only charge if the vehicle was out of alignment. Fair enough--my Suburban wasn't, and I ended up paying the original quoted price. Unfortunately, things took a turn that same day. I noticed a clunking or knocking sound from the front end that hadn't been there before. Concerned, I brought the vehicle back, thinking maybe a tire hadn't been properly secured. After nearly three hours in the shop, I was told my front passenger-side upper and lower ball joints were bad and needed to be replaced--to the tune of $1,300. Since I'm past the manufacturer's warranty but have an extended warranty, I took it to Chevy for a second opinion. After a few days and several hundred dollars out-of-pocket, the diagnosis came back: there was absolutely nothing wrong with my ball joints. The real issue? Loose cross arms behind the radiator--something that wasn't an issue until the tire service. According to the tech, there were no signs of wear or damage that would suggest bad ball joints. We let Jimmy know what had happened and were curious to hear his thoughts, but unfortunately, he didn't have much to say about it. If I didn't have an extended warranty or had just trusted the diagnosis... I might've gone ahead with unnecessary, expensive repairs. Even more frustrating: my husband was told a while back by Big O that his ball joints were also bad and agreed to the work as his vehicle is older than mine. Now, he's questioning whether his repairs were needed at all. Between the unnecessary diagnosis and the added stress and cost, we will not be returning to Big O Tires. This entire situation was avoidable, and had we not double-checked, it could've been a very expensive mistake. read more

As I walked in, the guy sitting on his phone ignored me for about couple of minutes finally he gets up and he said what can i help you, he looks at his screen and tell me , tire rotation can not do on line appointment . I scheduled my appointment through the online platform, and one of the options available was tire rotation. Excited to take advantage of this service, I eagerly booked the appointment. However, upon arrival, I was informed that the tire rotation couldn't be honored at that time. To be honest, this left me feeling quite let down. BigOtire, you are charging me $250. for tire rotation and it was not free, at least honor your appointments. Came here for a simple oil change and it took over 1 hour also I never received a text message , email or call that it was done I had to come and check. Once I got back to get my keys Katlin says u have a major oil leak in Blurts it out without even knowing what she's talking about then she tells the guy from across the room to tell us what's wrong and he is talking from across the room at us telling us there's a leak without really stating where it's coming from .. both Katlin and the other young guy have no professionalism , feel like this place office is ran by teenagers with an attitude that need more training and are barely working .. after checking other reviews I noticed I wasn't the only one that was waiting around for over a hour to receive a text that it was done but never got one ! This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. the employees are rude and clearly unhappy working there. even with an appt for a simple oil change I was there over 2 hours. the facility isn't even busy compared to other places in town so it's just clearly mismanaged. what a nightmare! places all around Folsom can get you in and out in 30 min or less for an oil change so not sure what this places problem is but it's awful. my stress level was off the charts by the time I left watching unhappy patrons come and go. everyone there was miserable and talking under their breath about what a crappy place this is so I'm clearly not the only one that had problems getting through this place. if you come here, plan on spending the afternoon even with an appt and leaving very unsatisfied! read more

I took my car in because the low tire pressure light turned on. When I purchased my car I purchased tire coverage. Not only did Big O take my coverage they went above and beyond by calling my insurance provider to make sure it was covered. That call took almost an hour and required them to send a photo of the damaged tire to the insurance. Thanks to them my claim was covered and now I have a new tire. I talked to a man that was tall, broad had a beard. I didn't get his name. Or I for sure would have mentioned it here. Worst customer service experience! This facility takes an hour and 45 minutes to complete a simple oil change WITH an appointment. I bought the Groupon for $50 thinking it'll cover my oil. Next thing I know I need to pay an additional amount on top of this. The man rudely responded to me telling me to read the "fine print" PLEASE MAKE SURE TO READ THE FINE PRINT BEFORE PURCHASING. Okay, fine my fault. When I was checking out I brought up the deal that they have on here. $50 for $100 of service and why the two deals are like this and I might as well have paid for this one on yelp. Apparently this does not cover the oil change either. It doesn't say that ANYWHERE on here. the coupon says it's for a service !! I feel like they are trying to trick you into buying this "coupons" to then charge you more in the end and blame it on the fine print. His remarks back to me were so snarky. Just trying to brush me off. In the end, he didn't go over anything that had to do with my car (recommendations, anything that needed to be changed.) I had to ask if it needed anything and it actually needed two things. (OFCOURSE IM NOT DOING THEM THERE AND GIVING THEM MORE OF MY MONEY AT THIS POINT) Then when I asked him about the sticker they usually put with the mileage on the windshield he tells me that they "don't do that there" and when my car needs an oil change the maintenance light will pop on. I'm pretty sure the maintenance light pops on for other things as well. (First time in my life that I hear something like this). I feel like he was talking to me like I was an idiot. Please bring back shop manager Jimmy. He was amazing and seemed to be the glue of this Big O location. We have been loyal customers here for nearly a decade. Unfortunately, Jimmy left and our experiences ever since have been horrible. The new manager is condescending and arrogant. He lacks the customer service skills required to work in management. The technicians/mechanics now being hired lack the skill needed to do simple repairs. We have paid hundreds of dollars in repairs only to have to get our cars repaired the right way somewhere else. Another local mechanic couldn't believe they charged us for such shoddy work. This Big O has lost a considerable amount of business generated from our small fleet of cars. We will not be back. Hopefully this review saves someone the headache and disappointed we weren't spared. :-/ Side Note: The younger red-haired woman there treated us with a lot more compassion and understanding (even when she was delivering bad news, she did it with tact). Had a great experience at Big O in Folsom. Julian provided great customer service to get me in ASAP with a nail in my tire. The crew was super honest about the fact that I might need a new tire, since I had driven on the flat and caused potential damage to the sidewall. After closer inspection, they determined that the tire was structurally ok, so they made the quick and easy repair without trying to sell me a new tire. Extremely bad experience! The bearded service adviser whom I talked to was very rude. I felt small and very insulted while interacting with him. I drove all the way from Roseville to go to this facility because I had a GROUPON to use. When I reached there per my pre-made appointment, I started talking to this guy with beard what I like to get done. After that I mentioned that I have to redeem a GROUPON. The man rudely asked repeatedly, "Did you read the fine print?" According to him, I literally should have mentioned about GROUPON as soon as I opened my mouth to utter the first word in his shop. Throughout, his conversation with me during my end-to-end visit, he was very rude and blunt. I felt like he was talking to me as if I were an idiot. Also, I believe he advised me to get a wrong service performed because brake fluid replacement was not part of B12345 service for Honda which I discovered later upon my research. Brake fluid replacement falls under code 7. I had to shell out $150 which I could use for the actual service that was due under B12345. Well, this was indeed a very horrible experience! I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone and I am never stepping into the doors of this facility ever again! read more

I've never left a yelp review before, but felt like I needed to with this one. I got my brakes done in September. I left my car there and took an Uber home - not calling around to check pricing. Once they quoted me something ridiculous, I called Pep Boys and got a way lower price. Once I called them back they said they would match it. I honestly didn't want to go with them but my car was there so I said screw it. Fast forward to now, it's been 8 months and I've only put 12k miles on the car since September.. and somehow I need brand new brakes! And guess what? They wouldn't fix it for free! Brakes are supposed to last 50k miles. They seriously stole my money. Absolutely ridiculous. They scammed me and I'm pissed. Don't go here. Ever. read more
