These guys saved my mini vacation on Labor Day weekend. I had a failed tire late Friday night and showed up to their place first thing Saturday after another tire shop didn't seem interested in helping. I didn't have an appointment but think they could sense my frustration. I was out of there in under an hr. They even let me use a tool to lower my spare tire so I didn't have to unload my camp gear to get to mine. read more

Techs are non informed and not happy. Came in with my vehicle for a tire patch, mentioned about resetting my tpms sensor and was told it doesn't have a sensor. It's a 2015... Tpms regulations required vehicles 2008 and newer to have them. After leaving my tpms sensor light started malfunctioning. Hopefully the sensor isn't broken. Do not go to Big O tire in Payson. Had a flat and said I needed a new tire. I asked about how the tread was on my flat tire. I was told "you don't want it back there is no tread". When I got home realized that tire that had 30,000 miles but was good for 75,000 miles, which I had bought 2 at the same time. I went to Costco and after measuring the tread, my refund for that tire would have been $85. I called Big O manager, Mr. Martinez, to see if he would compensate me somehow for them tossing out a tire that had tread. He said it was not their error since I did not tell them I had a warranty. BUT IT STILL HAD 1/2 TREAD LEFT. Very disappointed in their service, not friendly etc. there is another tire place off the main road. Take your business there. read more

They were extremely friendly, helpful & went above and beyond to help me out. Over a holiday weekend I needed 2 tires replaced for our RV (meanwhile my husband was stranded in the mountains). I walked out the door with 2 new, very reasonably priced tires within 20 minutes. I'd recommend to anyone. read more

I went in this morning, the service desk was unmanned. A few seconds later the manager came out from the service area. He began to do something on the cash register, never acknowledging I was there. I stood there for several minutes before he said "how can I help you " never looking at me. I explained that I need my oil changed and tires rotated. He said that he had a noon appointment on Wednesday. To which I said that I wanted an early morning appointment. He then said he had a 10 on Friday or a 9 on Saturday, unfortunately I will not be in town on Saturday. He never looked beyond this week or looked at me, he never asked me if next week would work. I then said "well I guess I will go somewhere else ". I was astounded that the manager was so flippant and rude to a customer. I have found the manager to be rude every time I have gone in. I have seen him take coupons from male customers, but every time I have given him coupons he has a reason why he cannot take them. I priced tires and mounting recently. On a trip out of town I had a tire separate. I was forced to buy my tires in Fountain Hills, a mere hour from the Payson Big O Tire. The tires were close to 50% less than the price the Payson manager had quoted me. We Payson people are encouraged to buy locally. At a price difference of nearly 50% more I will save money and shop when I get the best value! read more

On August 28 2013 I drove into Big O Tire, my front tires were wobbling. I had an extra tire in my garage that was brand new and the same kind as the tires on my SUV, Actually it was supposed to be installed on my spare but somehow never was. I purchased this new tire the same time I purchased the tires on my SUV in 2007, In any event I had my front left tire wobbling because it was separating. The Manager "ED" the Manager looked at my tire and told me how unsafe it was, and if it was installed it the first time I drove to Phoenix it would tear apart and i would crash and be lucky if I was not killed. Then said he refused to install it, Walked me into the showroom and started showing me new tires, saying I needed 4 new tires all over a THOUSAND DOLLARS. he quoted me prices on three different brands and said he could install them right now. I explained to him I do not have enough money so he pulled out a credit application for "RCWILLEY" a personal loan company they work with, asked me to fill it out and would have an answer within a half hour after he faxed it to them. Thank you ED the Manager, I now know I need new tires, but i'm not going to pay top dollar today, I just wanted my brand new tire installed, replacing my one bad tire, buying me some time to price shop and NOT be INTIMIDATED into FINANCING 4 new TOP DOLLAR tires at 29.99% interest on the spot! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO A FAMILY MEMBER, FRIEND OR SOMEONE BROKEN DOWN ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. There are at least eight more tire shops within ten miles. and 3-4 tire shops within a half mile. THANK YOU EVERYBODY for taking the time to read my experience with BIG O TIRE, PLEASE THINK ABOUT THIS WHEN YOU NEED SOME TIRE WORK DONE, AND REMEMBER 3-4 tire shops within a half mile. P.S. My day started with discovering nail in tire. Being a long time customer of Big O elsewhere, I decided to go try Payson. Since I had coupon for free flat repair, I went there. After repair, I showed coupon to Phil...he then snarled at me saying you have to have it printed even though it did not say that on my phone. I decided to do that and went to Post Net. These guys were my miracle workers! I got a flat tire out in the woods and made it back to payson on a donut tire at 430pm. They close at 530 so I knew I was cutting it close, and I needed to get back to Phoenix that night. I stopped by the Firestone right before and those guys quoted me twice as much and they were not even able to offer me immediate service. I made my way to Big O, and the very nice gentleman behind the counter quoted me a great price for 2 new tires. They were speedy and had it done in 45 minutes!! I wish I could remember the counter gentleman's name. He was calm, polite, and helpful. This experience has not only left a great impression on me, but has convinced me to go to Big O tire locations in the valley in the future, instead of my usual Firestone that is closer to my house. While just beginning our road trip from Mesa to Seattle, just a couple hours in, we realized we had an issue with our brakes. We were pulling a 27' trailer and knew we were in trouble. We stopped at the first place that could look at our truck, Big O Tires in Payson. Now like many others we thought for sure this would be a very bad experience because we were out of towners, but that couldn't have been further from our experience. First off they immediately had us pull our truck in, told us our rotors were bad, which we figured. But at this point my husband was ready to just turn around and go home as he thought they'd tell us they couldn't get to it for a couple days and probably cost us an arm and a leg. Well we were pleasantly surprised when they told us it would be done in 1.5 hours and the cost was well below what we expected. We were so grateful for the service we were provided, I can't praise these folks enough! If you need car service please give Big O Tires of Payson your business as they have earned it! read more

I had to go to Big O tires in May of 2012. I am always hesitant to deal with any car people because I am female and I always feel like I am being taken advantage of. This was no exception. I had a flat tire and needed to get it fixed I had a friend go with me (male) and talk to the people there. He even paid for the flat to get fixed. They waited until he left before telling me that they couldn't fix the tire and I would need 4 new tires. They then spent half an hour telling me how I would wreck and roll my car if I didn't get all new tires right then. I paid for the tires (mostly because it was a holiday weekend and everyone else was super busy and I was on a time crunch) and now 8 months later one of those tires is bad. We purchased a tire on our way through Payson to prevent a blow out on our old tire. We paid over $100 for their cheapest tire. It hasn't even been a month yet and the new tire is already bad. I do not recommend this business. It's a rip off read more

Beware of Big O. I had a job done by Big O and while there, I was solicited for other side work by their mechanic. He said he would do the work and I paid him and when I got the car back, the work was never done. I tried to contact him, and he would not respond to me. I finally contacted Big O and they told me they would help me get my money back from their bum mechanic. I ended up getting half my money back and no repairs ever done to my car. I will never go back there and I suggest nobody else does either. There work is below par. read more
