Reviews and noted the hours are prime lunch time. I kept this in mind when I was off and finally have been able to try the sub shop-- the staff were very welcoming and helped explained the menu. This is a small establishment along with minimal diner seating available followed by big flavors! I was informed bread is picked up daily from the bakery, the bread was very dry to me and friend as we shared the Italian 10/2 sandwich. The meats and cheese tasted fresh, per reviews. I went with minimal 10 layers of meat and two layers of cheese. I feel like any less the bread would be overpowering, . The chicken noodle soup is a winner -- I would take more yummy broth than noodles. Overall, based on reviews and my experience I am willing to try again!

The confirmation text didn't come through until we were already inside, which might be bad reception, but it almost cost us the table. Then they sat us right across from the back kitchen entrance. Banging, yelling, and an open doorway into the kitchen. Off-putting, especially with better seating clearly open. The food keeps the rating up. I did not expect a wings place, but the smoked wings were my favorite, right amount of crispy with good smoke. The sauce list is long and I couldn't pick a favorite. The ranch tasted house-made and it was amazing. The chikin soho was the other standout. Honey ginger glaze, chili dijon slaw, and pickles that all work together. Misses: the brisket nachos needed fresh guac and actual brisket, since there was barely any. The 6 cheese mac was fine but not worth ordering again. Prices were right for what it is, a bistro concept. It's in Wayne, which surprised me since I didn't know spots like this existed out here. Wide enough menu that I'll be back. Next time I'm speaking up about the seating.

I came here this particular trip for an assortment of sandwiches for myself and a hungry family. But my interest is piqued for coming back for an entire store full of rare treats and fresh goodies. We got a nice assortment - The Don, Enforcer, Big Earner, Cosa Nostra - and they were all amazing. My kids talk about Big Earner even weeks later when I mention going to an inferior (but closer to my house) sub place. The counter staff was pleasant and courteous, and I enjoyed my wait with a fun group of people in line. Whether you want some Italian groceries, or deli meats to go, or an amazing lunch that beats the pants out of some of the local chain competition - Loaf & A Pound won't disappoint! Time to go back and get some sweets later this week...

Do you see how big this bowl aka BOX is?!? I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl and it might be one of the best chickens I have had. It was tender and full of proper flavor. The toppings were fresh as well. They top it with garlic and I like it. Their garlic has a kick to it so you know it's freshly made. Their menu has a good selection of different things to order. So there's something that everyone will definitely love. They also make smoothies. They specifically in a Afrikano style which is more spicy. It's pricey, but is as filling as an entree elsewhere. You'd think I'd have a photo of the sandwich by now since I've ordered it multiple times, but each time I've devoured it before remembering I didn't take a picture. Not five or ten minutes longer, 15-30 minutes after being quoted 30 minute on the phone, I arrive in 30 and they lie to me that it's five minutes longer only to sit in the lobby and wait another 15-20 minutes. This is unacceptable. Quote me an hour on the phone and I'll decide if my appetite can wait that long before I place the order, not when I get there and it's another 30 minutes of wait time. And it seems like they don't care and lie to you about needing a few more minutes when clearly they haven't even fried the ingredients. While the food is decent, it's nothing special or better than most Middle Eastern establishments. In fact I'd rate it below most other places that specialize in Middle Eastern cuisine. At least it doesn't take any other place that I frequent an hour to produce two falafel or shawarma sandwiches. The staff here is unapologetic and almost downright careless about wait times. I've got better things to do with my time than sit and wait for overpriced food that isn't ready when promised. Get it together or get out of the kitchen. Don't waste your time folks. There are plenty of choices out there that respect you as a customer. This place doesn't. Full stop.
