A 50's American food dinner and gelato. Service is very friendly and fast service. They play 50's American music and the deco reflects the time period. The burger and sweet potato fries were really good. Gelato was not bad either. We were able to get 10% off due to purchasing tour tickets down the road from Big Moe's. To check out with the 10% you will need a manager. So make time for that.

Big Moe's? Sorry more like Big NO!

I came here at 9.35pm and was told to come back in an hour because there were no tables available. They took my number to call me when a table was free. We came back half an hour later. Lord and behold.. there were tables free. Did anybody call? No!!! We were finally seated, we ordered our food. Drinks we wanted to order were not available because they didn't have lemon sorbet. Anyway 45 mins later not only hadn't we gotten our drinks that we didn't want to begin with or our food but we hadn't even received our appetisers. Customer service was generally appalling. Adriana I believe that's her name, was a star. She wasnt even waiting our table but came to check on us anyway and basically apologised and explained why there was a delay. Anyway now for the food, the WINGS were ok. Their bbq sauce and Chilli sauce was amazing. It took the wings from edible to nice. The BURGER I can't remember what I had but it was the bacon one. The brioche bun was fresh fluffy and light which was nice. I'd give the burger maybe a 6/6.5 out of 10. DESSERT well I had the waffle and I've had better to be frank. The chocolate sauce is literally that cheap squeeze sauce that you can buy from your local so that was disappointing. I'd give it a 5 out if 10.

50:s style. Ice cream, coffee and cake.

1950s style. Music from the same era. Ice cream of different sorts and burgers. Not very healthy food but well worth a visit for the ambiance the food typical of the time. Good service and friendly staff. Kids love it just like those who were around in the 50s.

My first night in London (a mere 3 hours after getting off the plane and severely jet lagged) my…read moregroup and I decided to pop into The Diner because we were all hungry and exhausted. As Americans, we were interested in seeing the English take on a lot of our classic American diner dishes. I had the chocolate chip pancakes, my sister had cheese fries and macaroni and cheese (she has an intense love for cheese) and our friend had the burger with seasoned fries. I think the best things on the table were the pancakes and the cheese fries. It seemed to be ACTUAL cheese melted onto the fries instead of the fake "nacho" cheese that we get in the states -- even though the fake cheese is also delicious. The macaroni and cheese was a bit dry and in need of a bit more flavor, as was the burger. The pancakes? Awesome. They came out warm, fluffy, topped with a sprinkling of powdered sugar and a side of butter and maple syrup.

At this, they fail. Any Denny's will provide a better experience than this, without the London prices. Some complaints: after asking for sweetener for my coffee, I was informed they only have sugar or agave syrup. I asked for an omelette, and I was informed they were too busy to make omelettes, even though the menu offers scrambled eggs any way you like. How time consuming is an omelette? So I revised my order for 3 scrambled eggs with a side of bacon. They brought out two plates, with 2 eggs on each plate! The service was slow and unfriendly. This might be acceptable if it was a 24-hour diner, and I was there at 4 am with the clubbers and other freaks sobering up for the journey home. It was noon! I sense the people dining here were part of the bleed-over traffic from a nearby Breakfast Club, as there was no queue for a table at The Diner, unlike the competition on a Saturday morning. Apparently, this location is part of a chain. America isn't very popular these days, so these Londoners have a lot of cheek destroying the idea of one of the few good things you are usually guaranteed in the States: a friendly breakfast diner where you can get a bleedin' omelette when you ask! (One positive: they serve bottomless filtered coffee. There is that.)

It's one of those places I wanted to love because it's cool, independent, I've seen photos of my…read morefriends eating there on Instagram etc. But sadly it was quite disappointing. Although there's been a lot of complain about the decor I personally love it. It's rustic, old and lazy cosy looking. It even has an old Chinese sign still saying 'beer' which is probably left there from the previous place. If you're looking for a more modern sleek cool looking like Byron or Honest Burger then you're in the wrong place. I don't know if it was an one off but both of the burgers we ordered were burnt, the bun that is. It couldn't have been because the kitchen was busy as we were the only customers there plus one other customer who was finishing off. So they told me that the mushroom bacon and cheese burger I was ordering was actually lamb. The burger was stacked tall, almost impossible to eat my hand. But I didn't dare to try and use that knife and fork instead (the uncool way) mainly so I could avoid the burnt bun ruining the taste of the generous filling. I love mushrooms in burgers and here it was able to give the burger more flavour and wetness which it needed. Although the lamb patty was flavoursome, it was slightly dry and on the coarse side. Not the best burger I've had. The Shrimp Po Boy was a much better choice. I love the filling of beautifully battered shrimp that was light and plump. The seafood sauce and lettuce accompanied it well, adding different levels of texture. It was cheaper too. But another problem with the burger bun was that it was too thick and dense, taking a lot of moisture away and because it was a 'lighter' burger, some flavours got lost in there. But it had potential. We also ordered a side of onion rings that were battered perfectly. But sadly there were so bland they became uninspiring and boring. The poutine was also unseasoned and bland. There's no point adding salt as it didn't flavour the inside of the chips. I did enjoy the addition of the goat's curd and the lamb gravy was lighter and less synthetic/generic tasting than other poutine I've had which was nice. But there is one reason I would return to The Advisory for and that's for their amazing coffees. The flat white we ordered was one of most aromatic, smoothest and creaminess I've had. My boyfriend said it was very similar to Turkish coffee so the beans they used were probably very finely grounded. My hot chocolate on the other hand was forgettable. I was planning to give The advisory another chance on their food but looking at other reviews it seems the problem of bland food seems more common than an one off. I think with Patty and Bun round the corner I'll stick to that next time for my burger fix.

American themed menu. Perfect for hangover eating. 6 pound bloody mary with a generous amount of…read morespice and vodka. Didn't try a coffee. The menu is predominately burgers. Highlights include a breakfast burger with avocado, one with blue cheese and bacon and a sweet potato and haloumi number. And of course the more traditional cheese burger. There are some new york style sides such as mac and cheese with cauliflower, greens with garlic and chilli as well as onion rings. The brunch menu is relatively restricted and pretty bread heavy. There is about 6 items to chose from including eggs benedict, blueberry pancakes and a salmon bagel. They also serve a few different sandwiches, again, quiet NY style. The pastrami one looked pretty good but didn't try any myself. And if I went here again I really really want to try the shrimp po boy. Service was a little slow BUT the waitresses were super lovely so that made up for it. I love the space and the whole room styling. The bar is fully stocked with everything you would possible need to start off an accidental saturday/sunday session. Sides are around 3pound and burgers/sandwiches/breaky items are around 5 - 8 pounds.
