As always, the food was excellent. I usually go for the crabcakes, but this time I tried the special, a crowned salmon, and it was so tasty. They truly do seafood well here, and the portions are always hearty. Every experience here is consistently great. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the manager even stopped by our table to check in, which was a nice touch. I always recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Williamsburg.

There are small indications of the owners political views within the location. Nothing crazy at all and unless you really look for it you won't notice. Some past yelpers I who clearly don't agree used this to bust down their Yelp review. That's ridiculous. If the owner wants to voice their opinion- they have every right. It's their place - with their money on the line and their time vested. They clearly treated every guest wonderfully and that's all you should really focused on. I looked up the history on Google because I was curious about how old this diner was. This little diner has been open since 1920 and in its current location since 1939. I had stuffed scallops, but they were not rinsed so there was sand in them. But the waitress was great and tried to make it up to us by comping a dessert (homemade donut with whipped cream which was very nice). I've heard they're great for lunches, but we won't be back for dinner.
