What's the problem with shopping at discount stores you say? Well, you MIGHT find what you're looking for...and you might NOT! For example, I stopped to find an item one day only to FIND the last in stock (Yay)! However, there was a hole in the bag and a piece I needed for the item to function was missing (fiddlesticks)! Soooo I lost out on saving a few bucks in this particular instance, but there have been plenty of times that Ive found items I wasnt looking for and turned out to be a great profit to me. Nonetheless the discount environment also may lend to disorganized anf disarray. Not so much in this location, which I appreciate. If youre a bargain shopper, I do highly suggest you do your research beforr you buy because some items maybe slightyly inflated (typical shopping 101). Can be a hit or miss. If youre looking for something in particular its definetly a profitable stop to make for home furnishings, food items, and decor on the cheap. read more

The store of randomness. You never know what you want until you walk in. It's almost like an Easter egg hunt... (and they really do sell Easter eggs here too... even during January.) I came here in search of a container to grow wheat grass in. I couldn't find any that were suitable for my use, but I did find a jumbo lint roller for cheap. For the principle of it, I compared the price to amazon and found that it was $3 cheaper here so I bought it! You can also find snacks, cheap tools, furniture, garden hoses, kitchenware, shampoo, and a bunch of other stuff here. I don't understand the concept of this store, but whatever item I do find I notice that it's fairly priced compared to walmart. read more

I LOVE big Lots patio furniture ... but the service that i recieved was inexcusable... when employee called someo e to the department for help it took over 45 minutes and i sat and watched employees doing absolutely nothing ... horrible customer service read more

I'm a born and raised bargain shopper and I'm not afraid to admit it. I love finding regular everyday items (and high end ones too!) at a deep discount. So when Big Lots store first began appearing back in my high school days, my mother made me take notice. Ever since they opened this particular store in my virtual backyard, I've been a frequent shopper. You can find everything from computer speakers to tamales in a can at any of your local big lots. Now, I've bought neither of these items from there, but I have found great deals on housewares, craft items and seasonal items as well. I usually make a trip about once a month, because their inventory does change frequently. As far as electronics, these stores will carry many refurbished items, such as the Dirt Devil hand vacuum that I got for only $15. More recently I've seen refurbed Dyson's and even some decent branded digital cameras. If you like to find a bargain and believe me there are plenty to find here...you will love this place. The only downside is the staff...as mentioned in other Big Lots reviews the staff here is sometimes way below par, but hell at least there's someone there to check me out when I'm done browsing! read more

Big Lots is back and better that ever. The store has been completely remodeled which makes it a more comfortable place to shop. I went on their grand opening weekend and the check out lines ended at the middle of the store, but that did not stop me. I am pretty sure the foot traffic is back to normal which means I will return on one of my weekend outings. read more

Pervert trying to take pictures of my children, I was so disturbed I turned around and left and he wasn't even discreet about it. I called the store when I left and the lady said she would notify the store manager. In hind sight I should have stayed and reported to police but I just wanted to get my kids out of the store. I am posting this to warn others if he went in there today he may go in there often. If someone is holding their phone up high they are probably taking pictures. If you see him report him please, I really regret not getting a picture of him. Either way he had a mask on so probably wouldn't have helped much. read more

I purchased a table that was discontinued and it was the floor display/last one in stock. It came with 5 chairs and the Manager said she had two extra chairs that I could have for free since they didn't have anymore tables left. At the time, we could not fit the additional chairs in our truck so I told the Manager I'd comeback. The Manager was sooo nice and helpful and pleased with our purchase. Well, I went back to get the chairs a few weeks later and she told me I had to buy them. I reminded her that she told me I could have them for FREE because the table was discontinued and I purchased the raggedy floor display. The Manager didn't care what she originally told me. Once she had my money, she became the wicked witch! She insisted on me buying the chairs even tho she already told me I could have them. Unprofessional! She should have given me the "floor display discount" if she wasn't going to honor the free chairs. I've seen this lady countless times and when I'm spending money she's all smiles and personable, but any other time she walks right by me and doesn't say one word. She needs to take some courses on interpersonal skills! read more

Went in there to get a mattress and a bed set and no one said good morning when we walked in although both the manager and the cashier were standing in the front. We had to wait in line to ask the cashier if anyone was there to help us and she said yes she'll help you in a second. Afterwards the manager walked straight passed us and helped someone else. I said excuse me and she walked straight passed me. Finally she helped us only to have a big attitude when we were buying our stuff. The manager is extremely rude. I wouldn't recommend going in there. It's a nice store but it's hard to get good help there. read more

I purchased a sofa here and ask to put a second one on layaway the guy gave me the run around saying I had to be approved. but thats only on leasing furniture. then proceeded to tell me they didnt have anymore but I called later and spoke to someone else and they said they had 3 more. customer service sucks. when I was checking out the cashier didnt ask or offer the protection plan I had to ask for it myself. read more

The furniture dept. at this Big Lots store has pretty decent prices. The staff is another thing. I spoke with a store manager named Anita at this location and asked for assistance. She stated that she would assist me in a minute, she was helping another customer. Understood. After a 15 min wait only to see Anita walking through the store finding things to pick up and move on the shelf, her co worker Michael also called her on the intercom while he was assisting another customer. Still Anita never appeared. Michael not only help me after he assisted his customer, he was extremely patient with me explaining the finance process. Kudos to Michael!!! I have been twice to Big Lots and will not go again....I went over ther to buy christmas decorations that was to be half off.But when I got up to check out I was told several thing wasn't on sell, but it was christmas!!!If they lie about that,what other things do they lie about??? read more
