The prices are really great at this store, but the customer service is spotty at best. Some of the employees are not well trained, and most are downright sour faced and unfriendly. No eye contact, no smile, and no greeting when you first enter the store is pretty standard there. One young man tried to put a dried flower bouquet in a bag head first and then was putting large items on top of them, before I stopped him. I had to explain to him that those items would crush the flowers, and he just gave me a strange look, and walked away. Also, I had handed him four or five of my own bags, yet he was packing one bag so heavy I wouldn't have been able to lift it. I'm small and 73 years old so you'd think that someone would automatically consider that, but no. When I tried to explain that to him, he just seemed to be confused so someone else came up and rescued me from him. I believe in giving everybody a chance at a job, but don't put somebody at the front who has no people skills or common sense at all. One new employee sold me a piece of furniture from a center aisle clearance area without telling me that I could not return it because it was not their policy to allow returns of anything that was on clearance. Had they told me that I would've gone home and measured my room before buying it, but there had been no sign there stating that and no one had told me that. When I came back with it because it was too big for my room they absolutely refused to refund my money even though I had been shopping there for months, decorating two different houses as well as my own, and had spent a lot, lot, lot of money there. The man who had sold it to me only two days earlier looked me right in the eye and lied and said he hadn't sold it to me. Three other staff members standing by (why?) kept telling me it was their policy not to accept returns from furniture clearances, something which was NOT posted, even then. I don't have a problem with that policy. I have a problem with their being no sign stating that and no one told me that when I bought it. Unfortunately I couldn't find my receipt to prove who sold it to me, and even then he would still have lied, so I'm stuck with a $119 hassock that won't fit in my living room. One other thing is if you try to order something from them online and have it delivered, forget it because it'll cost nearly as much in delivery charges as the actual item you're ordering. It's too bad they can't hire better people because it's really a reasonable place to shop with a lot of merchandise to choose from at really good prices. PS: there are two women working there who are friendly and helpful and great at their job, and I consider myself lucky when I see them at the register when I go there. However these men at this location provide great attitudes perfectly helpful and clearly and politely spoke to all the customers that approach them .. They should be known for their perfect customer service talent ... They could teach or train on a large corporate level the talents and knowledge they display . Worthless Pathetic Cheap, what describes Bigoots products. Not sure what happen to my review but it's still a zero star. Shopped here for the last time. Last review was about a latent. Christmas lights don't work from here. Change out the bad light bulbs and everyone has wires that are too short so no electric to the light. What are the chances of buying four packs of Christmas lights and all four being bad? Bought four and each has 10 feet that don't light up. I don't have enough bulbs to replace over 60 led lights. On 4-14 i bought a patio umbrella which was discovered to be damaged. After i purchased it, i was then told by the cashier that they are not doing refunds till 4-16 due to the corona virus. On 4-16, i called to set up a refund but was now told not till maybe 5-1. I asked for a manager. She advised it was because of the virus and that they do not know if the returned item may be contaminated. When asked does that mean it was not potentially contaminated when I purchased it, she said she could not say that but said they should not be selling non- essential items anyway. Every time i try calling the corporate office, no one ever answers. Big Lots sure doesn't have a problem taking our money for potentially contaminated items but they sure don't want to give your money back for a damaged product. This policy makes no sense. My review is for the merchandise lead that works at this location. He's extremely rude and not helpful and willing to compromise with his customers. He offered me no option to help. I came into the store with merchandise that I purchased there and wanted to return it because it was a set of silverware that was supposed to be 20 with only 5 pieces (the display pieces, the box was empty on the inside). I explained it was a gift and I didn't get a gift receipt with it unfortunately. It was clearly a brand they carried there and I just wanted to do an even exchange. He told me that it wasn't his fault and he couldn't do anything because their return policy was clearly stated at the register. (how could I help this when it was a gift?) He also said he couldn't accept it because there were items missing (uh duh? I bought it that way). All the while he is telling me this in an unapologetic tone. It's regrettable because it's such a great store other than that. Customer service is very important to me and the fact that there's a person in charge there like that just isn't favorable for me. Had come here a lot when living in the area. Great deals and friendly, helpful workers. Never left disappointed.

Not a bad place, all in all. I come in here every now and then for miscellaneous things, though rarely if I don't know what I'm after. I always get my laundry detergent here. My only real complaint is that the aisles are to narrow making it a bit claustrophobic. read more

Absolutely love this store, it's roomy and clean. There are always associates available if you need help finding anything. All staff is very friendly, I've had to make a return without receipt and they were able to look it up for me without issue. Highly recommend this store! read more

Love the new place huge improvement I'm coming every Sunday to purchase healthy snacks for the week. I rarely visted the old place I honestly would have to say I probably went to the old location 2 times a year did not enjoy it, looked to Ghetto and ran down trashy looking.
