I hate to shop here. I used to love Kohls but this location has completely turned me off shopping in store. Everyone that works at the return counter is so nasty with horrible attitudes. They complain about customers inconveniencing them and how much they hate doing Amazon returns or wasting bags wrapping every item for return. It's so unprofessional and disrespectful. After banning myself from this location for a year I decided to go back last week. I was hoping they employed new people but it's still the same people with bad attitudes. Back to only shopping online. I give them 2 stars because the store is always very organized which I guess isn't too difficult considering many people don't want to shop in there. read more

Did an Amazon return. The person doing returns was a little rude when she told me my return would stay inside right there until morning when I told her that was fine she said well no it's not that's why we tell Amazon returns to bring more than 15 minutes before store closes because it won't go to the truck or loading dock (somewhere) until morning. The way I see it is that all of that information given to me was irrelevant and uncalled for. None of that matters to me when they take to loading dock or why. All that matters is that I did my return and it would get to where it needs to go. Also never have I did a return where it matters which position I carry my phone for them to scan the QR code and no one's ever made a statement about me needing to lift my phone up and carry it facing forward due to the light glaring off the phone and not being able to scan. Like I said not once ever have we had that issue and maybe she was just lazy and didn't want to twist her hands in a different position because it would be more work for her. All that matters is I was there 15 minutes before store closed and I understand that people want to go home. I have a full time job too I get it. However if you don't want customers there at 15min before store scheduled time then change your store hours to 15 minutes earlier or change the times people can do returns. Either way get some associates who have better customer service and don't act like customers (the reason they have a job) are an inconvenience to them. Now with that being said I usually have a very good experience at this store! Kohls is one of my favorite places to shop and they have great deals, offer coupons that are stackable, usually friendly service and a clean store almost every time I have been there. I love getting Kohls cash and my last visit my $10 Kohls cash was expired by a day and the lady was still able to honor it and it happened to actually be $20 which saved me even more!! The parking lot is clean and I noticed they have way more shopping buggies then they used to have on the store front entrance! Over all this is a great store just forgetting my experience today and I would def. Recommend to anyone who hasn't been there before! read more

I am very dissatisfied with my experience, especially with the Kohl's store in Hanford, CA. My $51 Kohl's Cash disappeared from my wallet before I could use it, and customer service told me it was used at the Hanford location -- a place I never visited. I called the store right away, but no one cared to listen or investigate, even though the transaction happened just two days earlier and could have been easily traced. The staff showed no interest in helping or offering any compensation. I have been a loyal Kohl's customer since 2005 and shop there often, but this experience has left me extremely disappointed. I never thought I'd see the day that I'd give a Kohl's a bad review, but this one is worthy of it. Kohl's and Target are my favorite stores, and I've been to Kohl's all over California. This one just opened recently, and it's by far the smallest one I've ever seen. It's in the old Mervyn's at the Hanford Mall. It is so tiny and everything is just jammed together. I've never seen such a small shoe section and juniors section. Granted, it was a Sunday afternoon, so it was crammed with shoppers and all their 8,038,964 kids that they had to bring with them. But it was just way too much in such a small store. That said, they also seemed to be out of a lot of stuff. There were just empty shelves, and everything was just thrown every which way. I seriously wondered if anyone was there to clean/restock/straighten up the store. I wasn't sure if anyone even cared. Anyway, like my review on the rest of the Hanford Mall, this was a total waste of time and I won't be returning. Too bad because I hold a Kohl's gold card! read more

Carlos was so nice when i went to check out and then saraphina (sorry spelling?) was THE BEST she was working the jewelry counter and helped me find my phone i misplaced trying to get my kids outfits together. Pretty decent store you can get some pretty decent deals there if you are looking. They do seem a little understaffed though. They lost a star from me due to the fact that there was Nobody working the cash register. When the guy showed up he said "oh, where'd she go?" Other than that, pretty nice store. Worst store ever! Purchased a crib here and received it broken. Took it back to the store and they didn't want to give us our full money back even though we took everything back together. They finally sent us another one and this time it was missing a part. Seriously!? I'm on my last month of pregnancy and this just added more stress. This Kohls is pretty small compared to the many bigger ones I've visited, so I was a little hesitant about even stopping here. However, I was surprised to actually find jeans that I liked that were in my size! Size 7 in juniors always seem to be picked out when I'm browsing clothes, but they had size 7s here :D small selection to choose from but I can't complain. I found more than what I was looking to buy. I only gave 3 stars because it's a small store, and it wasn't the neatest. Clothes was on the floor and the folded clothes needed to be refolded. Customer service was good, and they were also doing Kohls cash when I came. It was a win/ win. read more

Pros: None. Cons: Messy, extremely rude employees, bad selection. I'm not even going to put a cloak anecdote. This place is extremely cluttered and dirty. Every time I walk in here, I come out sneezing and feeling like I just inhaled pepper spray! They need a HEPA filter, asap. That isn't even the worst part. Clothes are scattered everywhere, make up is all over the ground, and the layout of this place is like a labyrinth. I seriously walked around this store for 10 minutes not realizing I was walking in a loop. Employees frequently run into me (I'm hard to miss; I'm 5'10-11 and I can be loud at times) without even acknowledging my presence. Um, hello? When I finally was done buying whatever I came in there to buy, I stood in line. There was one realllyyyy slow person ahead of me checking out, and no one behind me. A sales lady just stood there and watched while I waited for Mr. Sloth Register and Mrs. Turtle Checker ahead of me to finish ringing up their items. I kept glancing her direction to see if she was going to open up the register and let me buy my things so I could leave and cook for my family. She didn't. She was STARING at me. We made eye contact. She had to have seen me, no doubt. 5 minutes later, someone came up behind me, and aforementioned sales lady offered to open up a register and ring the person behind me up instead! HELLO? Greatest store ever! The employees are always beyond helpful and friendly. I even had a coupon that had expired a few days before and they made sure I could still use it anyway. Boy some of the reviews are unreal....I have been shopping this store since they opened...the clerks are friendly, willing to help, and pleasant all the time...Mind you I am in this store 2-3 times a week. I realize there are times when putting out new merchandise things get a little messy....I have also seen customers throw things on the floor, let their kids destroy things, run into and hit other shoppers, be rude to clerks and other customers..I agree the store should be larger....but get real its the best place in this town to shop... read more

walking into most department stores nobody greets you when you come in. at this particular Kohls location you are greeted through out your shopping experience. the customer service that is offered is very helpful all of the associates are extremely friendly. i came in to return an item and it was so quick and i had no problems with not having my receipt all i needed was an ID. you know that the workers take pride in their job here, you actually fee like they want to be here. i walked to the back to use the restroom it is by far the cleanest i have ever been in in the 3 years that i have lived here. i even witnessed customers from the mall just coming through to use the restrooms. all of the sales you wouldn't be able to get anywhere else. they do promotions like Kohls cash and there are always coupons going out in the mail. if you open a Kohls charge card you can get anywhere from 10%-20% off of your purchase.
