While placing items in my cart, I over heard the manager call another customer after she left the store, a batch. My head turned to see if I really heard what I heard. The manager, a heavy set, blondish haired man was still muttering about said customer. When i went to check out I was not greeted. What was said to me by the manager was "hand me all the bottles as you are not taking the buggy outside because customers steal them" I handed him 4 bottles (32 oz each) and he put them in one bag. I asked him to double bag it and he said one bag is fine. The bag broke upon removing from backseat at home and the bottles went everywhere. I purchased a total of 16 bottles of tea. 12 were in a box so they were easily carried into home. This store is rarely stocked. Also, FYI I did not mean the word "batch" but "b!tch" Auto correct changes words all time. I have called Dollar Tree Corporate Customer Service on 2 seperate occasions and have not received a return call or email or letter. Does the company care how their employees act?? I am guessing not. When I asked another employee what was up with the manager, I was told "he is just like that and to accept it". NO I DO NOT HAVE TO ACCEPT HIS NASTYNESS OR HEAR HIM SPEAK ABOUT CUSTOMERS THE WAY HE DID. WITHOUT CUSTOMERS COMING IN TO SAID STORE...SAID STORE WOULD NOT EXIST NOR WOULD THE JOBS THERE. It's the perfect store to shop aimlessly for that which you didn't know you need until you see it. Accompanying a friend, I wasn't searching for anything in particular. However, I wasn't bored. Most of the store is dedicated to clothes, which I didn't need, but I enjoyed looking at the special selection room of blouses and sweaters themed for Christmas. Purses, located at the front left of the store, also failed to hold my attention for long, but I enjoyed the selection of animal themed bags. Some of the car bags were adorable, but totally impractical for me. I especially enjoyed wandering the aisles of housewares, holiday items, decor, and linens in the back of the store. The clearance aisle, located in the back left corner, was bare. Next to it were lots of holiday themed pet toys. The store had a lot of nautical-themed decor for everyday and holiday. I found and purchased a cute turquoise elephant cookie jar and salt and pepper shakers in housewares.

My wife and I went in to pay our bill which was apparently overdue based on an email we received. I…read morehave never missed a bill in 50 years of bill paying and wanted this taken care of. We encountered the rudest customer service person you can imagine. She asked us if we had called the number on our card for help. We told her we had but they told us we needed to take care of our bill in a store. She informed us we could not pay our bill with a credit card, which is totally fine, except her attitude and tone of voice were amazing for a customer service employee. She asked how much we wanted to pay and we asked if she could check our balance. She explained that she had no way to see anything about our account including balance, hoe we were supposed to be getting our bill, our billing address or anything to do with our account. Really? She was very rude and should not be in that role. The message about her not having the ability to know anything about my account was not her fault, her attitude was the problem. I will not shop at that store again.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at TJ Maxx in The Villages today was extremely…read moredisappointing. Around 12:40 PM, I found a dress in the clearance section with a red clearance tag clearly marked at $10. I spent time shopping, selected several dresses, and went to the fitting room to try them on. After deciding to purchase three dresses, including the clearance dress, I headed to checkout. The cashier scanned the first two dresses without any issue. When she scanned the clearance dress, she immediately removed the red tag and informed me that the dress was actually $29.99 because the clearance tag had supposedly been placed on the item by mistake. Since I had found the dress in the clearance section and with a red clearance tag attached, I politely asked to speak with a manager. Unfortunately, the manager simply told me that $29.99 was the correct price and that nothing could be done. What bothered me was not the additional $19.99. Had the dress been marked at $29.99 from the beginning, I would have made my purchasing decision based on that price. The problem was being told at checkout that the clearly displayed clearance price of $10 would not be honored. Customers should be able to trust the prices and tags displayed by a store. If a pricing or tagging mistake was made, it was not made by the customer. What disappointed me most was the lack of empathy and any effort to find a reasonable solution. Instead, I left feeling frustrated, misled, and undervalued as a customer. I left the store without the dress and with a much different impression of TJ Maxx than I had when I walked in. I hope management reviews how situations like this are handled in the future, because customer trust is built on transparency and fairness.

Florida 2025:…read more Unfortunately with the Gen Z and Millennial folks who hire new employees, they will not hire Gen X 45-60 years old or any senior age 60 and older. The preference in hiring is someone in their 20-35 years old range and preferably Spanish speaking. In interviewing potential new employees, loyalty to the job, never calling off, willing to work extra shifts, coming in early to work, working really hard and enthusiastically, being customer oriented, dressed professional in interviewing with a professional resume and cover letter, having college degrees, and having relevant work experiences mean nothing to the Gen Z and Millennial hiring folks. They just hire people they want to hang with, more like looking for new friends. This is especially true of Belk.

When we walked in, no one greeted us or asked if we needed help, even though the store wasn't busy. At checkout, I politely asked several times for my items--especially the candles--to be double‑bagged. The cashier insisted it wasn't necessary and refused, which was frustrating since it was a simple request meant to prevent the bags from breaking. Once outside, I asked my friend to go back in and request two bags. Even then, the same cashier made her feel uncomfortable for asking before finally handing them over. A basic request like an extra bag shouldn't be an issue, and it certainly doesn't cost the employee anything. The overall service could definitely be improved, especially when it comes to friendliness and accommodating reasonable customer needs.
