We came for the Annual Fireworks Show hosted by the City of Mansfield. I've lived here for years and never attended because I always thought it was on the 4th but its actually the day before. Anywhoo...the event was free but they had vendors selling food and the ballpark has an indoor facility that has a bar and concession stands. My son ordered nachos and they were cold by the time he got back to the stands. The facility itself is really nice, they have several different fields for teams to play their games. This is the Country Club of Youth Ballparks. I couldn't believe all of the negative reviews. Where my son practices baseball and plays many of his games is down a dirt road and it doesn't even have a parking lot. This place in fancy smancy! It is conveniently located off of the 360 Tollroad. It only took me 45 minutes to get here from Mckinney. It usually takes me an hour to get to most of my son's games that are out of town. I was brought to this ballpark for a USSSA World Series. I saw many complaints about the parking lot because it is shared with Hawaiian Falls. I was "Front Row Joe". This was a big improvement, I usually have to park on the side of a hill where my son normally plays. As an added bonus, I didn't have to worry about foul balls or home run balls hitting my car. I knew there was a gate fee. Most of the big tournaments do. This one was $10 per person. I can't tell you happy I was to pay that $10, because I was at a baseball game with air-conditioning. Did you hear me?? I was in an air-conditioned building at a travel ball baseball game in July. I have never been at a tournament with air conditioning. There is also a restaurant. I've never seen a restaurant at a youth baseball field either. I was so excited, I cheated from my normal eating habits of salad and splurged and got chili cheese fries. They were AMAZING! My sons had pizza and hot dogs and it was smiles all around. I really felt the pricing was normal travel ball concession stand prices. As you already know, the ball fields are replicas of famous ballparks around the United States. I think Wrigley field is my favorite with the rooftops from Wrigleyville in the background. My son played on Ebbots Field and I thought it was ironic that the fake people painted on the outfield had an awning for shade, but the actual human spectators behind home plate was not shaded. Oh and just a note, they allow you to bring in tents to create your own shade. For this tournament they allowed coolers of water and fruit. They checked coolers and my son's bag when we came in. It looked like they confiscated a lot of Gatorade from other players. Our coach made sure we knew the rules of the facility, so we already knew what was allowed in the park. If you get a chance to play here, do it! My son loved it and it was a wonderful experience for our family. read more

horrible customer service from the start, today coming in the park three workers weren't the very least welcoming at all. Worker with wavy-ish/curly hair, nose piercing was the rudest. My family and I were walking in and workers asked us to open our cooler to check, we were more than happy to, we didn't know we weren't able to bring in Powerade's so she told us to take them out and as we were I didn't see ONE left at the very bottom now while closing the cooler she proceeds to say " if you're not willing to take everything out you can leave " instead of simply saying there was one more at the very bottom. Baseball Fields aren't maintained well. Concessions can't keep up with a good inventory of food. They try getting you to purchase food that your not asking for. It's over priced for what you want. read more

The fields here are extremely raggedy. there are patches of turf on the fields. The inside area carpets are dirty and filthy.

BLD is a nice facility that I would like to go to but they are money hungry rip offs. We are playing in the ICY Breeze World Series and we paid a tournament fee and expected to maybe pay to get in but for $10 a day!!!!! Are you serious!!!! With multiple days at the same location it will be at least $30 per person and if you have a family of 4 with 1 kid playing then it is at least $90 if you buy the pass. We can go see the Rangers in the cheap seats for that or less. Nobody should have to pay $10 to go see their 12 year old kid play baseball. Then the bathrooms are sweat box's and nobody is running the score boards. Pretty pathetic!!! read more

I play men's softball and usually have to travel about 2 hours from Wichita Falls to play. First, I would like to Mentions this place has a great complex between the turf fields and the batting cage, but all they are is money hungry. Charging players to come in and having multiple divisions (men's B,C, E, Co-Ed, etc.) playing at once. I've had time where I would have to wait till 6hrs to play (1-2 AM) or even the next day, even though it was advertised as a one day. They can't handle the work load of all the divisions, especially, when there's atleast 15 teams per division. As much as I like to play here for the fields I always hate it when play at the money hungry place. read more

I have attended numerous baseball tournaments here. There is no wi-fi, the scoreboards have NEVER worked and you can't bring in any outside food or drinks. To top it off, they charge exorbitant gate fees for the teams and then expect you to pay to get in. With this most recent tournament, parents have to pay to get in and then they also charged the players to get in. The concession stand is way to expensive as well. They exploit youth sports for their money, the backbone of there existence is youth sports and they figure if the parents can pay for baseball, we can screw them and get money too. This is a great place to play ball, the fields are well kept and the infield being turf helps a lot with the rain outs which keep us playing when other parks cancel during rainy days. There is a cover fee for players and spectators alike which is $3. They only take cash at the gate so make sure to have some handy. With entrance fee you will be given a token which you can spend at the concession to get a $1 off any purchase. The food is average but it keeps you from going out and finding something in between games or if you get hungry just from watching. They have beer and wine for adults only!! For the kids and others that choose not to have an adult beverage they have sodas and water. They have 8 softball fields and an inside soccer facility as well as some batting cages to get ready for the big game or just to dust some dirt off if you haven't played in a while. The $3 every time you come to play or watch can get expensive but to me is well worth it. The fields are replicas of some of the MLB stadiums and to make it fun they even have some fans painted on the outfield wall. The turf infields got me spoiled but prevent those bad bounces the ball will take in some of the bad fields around the area. Over all a great place to feel like you made it to the big show. They have now increased their prices. They charge $5 per entry on league nights on top of player and league fees. $8 per person during tournaments and there isn't any type of receipt so how can they prove people paid? They only accept cash and then want to keep your DL if you have to use their atm to get cash. Their scoreboards don't work half the time, the bathrooms aren't kept clean, the fences and netting all need replaced and they don't keep the grounds clean or well kept. So what is all the money going to? Their concessions are way overpriced or not in stock. On top of all this, they want a teenager to check your bag upon entry. Not sure if it's for alcohol or food/water but they don't do it for safety concerns. They only do it because they want you to buy their overpriced stuff. People are rushing from work for the early games and have to wait in a long line out of the park gate and then told they need their bag checked (while it's already starting game time). If I'm paying that much to play softball and enter the park, you're not about to tell my I can't bring in my own Gatorade to keep me hydrated while playing softball in the heat. A teenager isn't going to go through my purse or softball bag. This is while they were "concerned" about covid and making people wear masks upon entry yet some stranger is going to rifle through my bag? Umm no. I was disappointed in my recent visit to BLD. Food is over priced. $3.95 for a pop aka soda. The fields are too large for a youth baseball tournament. Fields are fun to play on and my son really enjoys playing here. That's as far as the plus side of things go. The food is horrible and the staff is as about as rude as they come. They do not aloud food or drinks which is ok by me however they price gouge everything and are some of the rudest people in the service industry. I have been here prob 20 times in the last 3 years or so and I can't remember a time when I walked out of the food court pleased. My suggestion is don't come hungry, don't come thirsty, and bring some seeds in your pocket. read more

Very cool concept. This park has 8 different fields all modeled after different ballparks around the country. It even has mock stands to mimic fans. The fields are turf, so mud isn't an issue. Everything here is well maintained, as it should be since there's a $3 entrance fee for each person, player or spectator. I think kids under a certain age are free. The place sells food and drinks(including beer) and you get a black token that knocks off a dollar for every time you pay the entrance fee. There are also batting cages that are slow pitch and fast pitch that are average. read more

Are people really complaining about the food??? It's pizza and dogs, ballpark style people. Is it gourmet? Nah. But you come here to play ball. And there's no better place in the metroplex to do that than BLD. Air conditioning and tvs in the restaurants. Almost impossible to rain out. Scoreboards all work. Great fields and umpires are decent. Playground for kids in the middle of the park. $3 plus a $1 token to enter? Worth it. I do wish they'd check bats before games.... Big League Dreams is like a Disney for youth baseball. Ballfields are modeled like classic MLB stadiums, Fenway Park, Wrigley Field, Yankee Stadium, etc. It's a neat idea and great experience for the kids. The problem with this facility in Mansfield is that it desperately needs improvement and a facelift. The fields are showing wear and the lounge/restaurant area is pretty disgusting. The restaurant remains trashed throughout the day as well as the bathrooms! The staff ONLY wants to stand behind the counter and chat!! No one cleans the eating area, tables or bathroom!!! Aptly named. This is what little boys and girls dream to play in when they grow up. Of course, the fees are a little higher because of that. However, there's an indoor bar area for your adult beverages. Also inside is the best place to view a game in the heat or extreme cold. COnsessions are available and you get one token for $1 off with your admission cost. Overall the atmosphere is child friendly and there are several different leagues in which you can play. There's a great playground in the center surrounded by rope to prevent little ones from being hit with fly balls. This also makes a great gathering place for community events like the 4th of July! read more

My chief complaint is there is no WiFi. The cell service basically non-existent and to not have WiFi at a park like this makes no sense. I also think the price is a little steep for what they provide in the park. The concession stand does have issues as well. The fields are awesome to play on. Very well maintained and even with heavy rain, drain very well as to avoid puddles or damage to the grass. Infields are synthetic. However this is the ONLY good thing about this place. They charge a $5 entry fee and do not allow any outside food, beverages or coolers, yet their concession menu is most unhealthy, overpriced and horrible. If it rains, your $5 stadium seat will be soaking wet and you will be cover in mud from the surrounding areas. This place is a ripoff! This review is only about the indoor soccer facility. This is the worst league we have ever played in. We play co-ed. The ref. that's always there has no badge to prove he even passed his test and knows the rules of play. He plays favorites all the time coz we are a white team and every single team we play are hispanic. They are hipocrites about their rules of no physical contact to keep everyone safe. One of our girls was trying to get a girl off her back but she's the one that gets the red card???Are you kidding me. I can't tell you enough how ghetto this place is and this WILL be the first and last time we play their. GHETTO!!!! Horrible experience with a referee who singles me and my brother out. The management insists on defending this referee every time. The problem could be fixed by just not letting him ref our games but thts asking for too much from management. The players who I play with said they think he's racist because he only picks on us and won't even allow us to talk because when we ask him about questionable plays so far we've been getting carded. When we get frustrated because we are getting hurt and we complain, then we are not being civil. I don't know how you are suppose to be civil when someone elbows you in your spine and the referee laughs when you complain and tells you it wouldn't have mattered weather he made the call of not because you are still getting fouled. I wish management had common sense to jst not let this idiot ref our games. When people keep getting frustrated, the anger builds up and that's how fights break out, the referees job is to prevent that from happening and management should support that, but they don't do that at big league dreams indoor soccer read more
