We had our tour with Big John day 3 of our trip. I'm glad we did it earlier on the trip because he showed us some amazing places that we would have never learned about if it was not for him. Later in the week we went back to some of those places to spend the entire day there. The places we loved the most were Eternity Beach and Waimea Bay rock jump. First time trying Big John and it was the right choice! He texted and said would be early but no rush. Did tell us about Aloha Friday Traffic so we should leave 15 minutes earlier and this time helped us at the airport. Because it was crazy on a Friday nice , clean large Toyota van with lots of space Coming home he texted the about confirming pick up and that we was watching the flight . Very attentive. My wife and I flew into Oahu with no plans but to enjoy our honeymoon, when we arrived we quickly found every activity was booked due to covid in a panic we searched for hours and hours almost to the point of feeling defeated. Then we found big John!! Local island treasure !! He took my wife and I on a "half day tour" which was beyond what we could of asked for. He took us all around the town giving fun stories pointing out local spots that aren't on the radar, showed us the best sight seeing spots, knew to get out early enough to get ahead of the big rig tour busses stopped and got us the beat musubi we had on our trip took us to Leonard's Portuguese pastries but knew which one to stop at so we weren't in line forever, took us snorkeling on the north shore and made sure we found the best food trucks available. Completely made our trip. Our half day trip turned into a full day of fun. We used John's services twice during our five day stay in Oahu! Highly recommend the full circle island tour. The best part was swimming in Waimea falls the secluded beach he took us too where we met some local kids. Also the yummy shrimp! The day of our flight (3 pm) we wanted to visit sea life park and he let us accomplish that. We went to sea life park, saw the animals, had a dolphin encounter, changed, purchased pictures and then headed back to the airport. Even tho it was out of the way, we made it very much on time (early even). He has so much knowledge and is a kind soul. Very affordable and professional. John rocks! I needed a lift from the VPC to the airport and had 3 HUGE bags I was bringing with me. Called John for a lift and he was actually already at the VPC, offered to come around back to help me with my bags and once he and another gentleman from the VPC got my bags in the car, we were off! A lot of unnecessary drama. An initially good private tour was soured by gratuitous information about how jealous this driver's girlfriend was that he was taking a female out on a tour. The driver (John) stated a drive to the airport was included in the tour price, but then reneged, but not without giving me the runaround first so I wasn't sure whether I could count on him for a ride or not. He finally admitted that his girlfriends jealousy was the issue and promised a discount off of the original tour, which he never honored. Bit too much drama and too little professionalism for my taste. read more

What can I say this man is a walking tourism advert for Hawaii and customer service. We connected with john on a short cab ride one evening and the next day we were taking his all day tour of the island what a fantastic day he took us to some great food, views and shared his stories which made the day wonderful, money invested with great return!!! Would highly recommended in that no worries driving and sight seeing plus he knows where to go! We were in a terrible bind being on the North Shore and booking an adventure on the complete opposite side of the island extremely early in the morning to a point where other taxi's, Lyfts and Ubers were not in service yet.
