A father and sons establishment, Our Farm has been 15 years in the making. The Ritcher family started planting trees in 1998 on their property with several varieties--Balsamic and Fraser firs or Scotch, White, and Norway pines. They offer cut-your-own or pre-cut! My family grew up with the lovely smell of pine in the house around Christmas time, and it has been a continued tradition to trek out into the woods and cut a tree ourselves. At Our Farm, you have the option to walk all around the 40 acres to hunt for your preferred tree, or one of the sons can offer to drive you into the back area (where all of the biggest and best trees can be found.) We were pleasantly surprised by the selection. We had trouble deciding because every tree seemed like the perfect one. I think the best part though was getting to enjoy the beautiful property. When we settled on the perfect tree, the Ritchers shook the excess needles off and bailed it for us. They even were kind enough to assist in tying it down to our truck's roof. The Ritchers were folksy and incredibly pleasant to chat with, telling the story of his grandad was a tree farmer elsewhere in Minnesota and they wanted to continue the family tradition. Pop Ritcher has big plans for the Farm, hoping to have hay rides, hot cocoa stations, and toboggans to haul your tree up from the back woods. Really glad too that they were open just three days before Christmas. Many tree farms are closed by now. Their prices are fair for their trees. We got a huge Norway pine for $60! Be sure to make it your tradition for Christmas, to visit the Ritchers for your Christmas tree.

These luscious trees all carefully grown locally at TEC Trees owned by retired forestry Prof Carl Vogt ( donated) and the Wolcyn Tree Farm, are EACH carefully HARVESTED by the students who ALSO stand in the freeeezing cold from black friday until they run out, sunday to saturday. Their office is a rented trailer. They are naturally tree experts at trimming roping and attaching them PROPERLY to your car ( no flying missile trees on 694) !! Definitely an enjoyable experience, even when cold! They had fires going to warm up at, and free cider! We did the pick your own tree, and they make it as easy as possible for doing that. The shaking of the tree is a game changer too- so many less needles at time of set up! My sister did mention that prices are increasing (just like everywhere else so to be expected) but says it's still worth it the extra expense!

They have precut trees or cut your own. Tons of spots for family pictures. They have hot apple cider for free, Santa and tootsie rolls for kids. They were so fast and it was so convenient and easy!

I was expecting 30.01 or 30.00, and so it was like, what?...and I was in the wrong somehow. Helpful place if you ask the women for help, which goes along with the history of the place (BBC article about coffee and body fluids). There are other "helpful" places I can find cashers that are never wrong...

This has to be one of the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Went to purchase a…read morestackable washer and dryer. Found one we liked, specifically asked if the door on the washer was able to be switched, per Tyler, yes it could be switched (stating this on the invoice). We decided to make the purchase. Set up for delivery between 9am-12pm, got a call at 11:50 stating drivers will be late. Drivers arrived at 1:30pm, (Juan and Will) who were amazing and very informative. But the issue was - the specific washer we purchased the door was not able to be switched. Juan called Tyler and was on speaker phone. At first Tyler denied saying he told us the washer door was switchable, he said he told us the dryer could be switched not washer. BUT on the invoice it clearly states "DOOR SWITCH WASHER". He was not a pleasant salesperson to work with, even the day of the sale he was bouncing around to 4 other customers, popping back in with us. He's obviously not knowledgable in his appliances. Juan then called Sarah, one of the owners and she equally not as nice. Of course apologizing but not willing to help their mistake in any way. We took the entire day waiting for the washer and dryer arrival, wasted day for nothing. I would never got back to Steven's Appliances nor ever recommend them to anyone else. Very poor customer service and unfriendly people. The only people that were remotely sorry were Juan and Will the delivery guys, super nice guys who even said themselves the sales people are there just to sell, they had so many unhappy customers in which the appliances were not what they ordered or were told by sales the wrong information. Please don't make the same mistake as we did. I would not buying anything from Steve's Appliances. They don't care about their customers, just there for the sale. The trust has been lost on so many levels with them. We went with another company and had perfect service and delivery, working perfectly.
