I've been to a lot of places around the globe. More than most people my age could ever hope for, but this place is new to me. In my one visit to this store I rode a Ferris wheel, played bowling, and browsed the largest arsenal of firearms I've ever seen. That alone made my day, but I'm not done yet. This place has more bikes and skateboards than Alpine Ski Shop. Their camping section is larger than Dick's and Cabela's combined. The clothing department is chock full of everything that one would want to pull over their skin. I haven't even mentioned that their prices are average to cheap! Heck, even the employees are kind and helpful!There's literally nothing I can complain about, because I've never experienced anything that compares to Scheels. I literally cried when I walked into this place, because it fulfilled everything my hopes and dreams could possibly muster. I love being critical to mega corporations, and I thought they might have a fascist CEO or something, but that's where it really gets crazy. Scheels is 100% employee owned, meaning DEMOCRACY BABY!!! I barely edited this review, so if you see something weird, I honestly don't care. Moral of the story is that I'm flabbergasted beyond belief.

I was administering a…read morepublic access test for two US Veterans and their service dogs in training as their final step to become fully certified teams, which is a HUGE accomplishment for them. We barely got in the door and were immediately asked to leave. The employee who stopped us from entering was "Coach K" (he refused to give me his actual name). I politely explained to him that per Colorado State Law, service dogs in training were granted the same public access rights as working service dogs and I was happy to show the law on my phone. He indicated that he was aware of the law but that last week a group was in there training their dogs and one of the dogs was barking aggressively, so they decided to not allow dogs to train in the store. I informed him that that is in violation of the law and we were not training, we were testing. He said he didn't care and to take it up with corporate. After I clarified that he was really going to not allow us and our very well mannered dogs access to their store, he said we needed to leave and this was the last time he was going to say this, which implied to me that if I didn't leave he would call security or the police. Usually when we have these access issues it is due to ignorance of the law. Not just someone completely choosing to ignore the law because they feel like it. These were disabled veterans who worked hard with their dogs under the supervision of our non-profit service dog training organization for over a year and they deserve to be treated with respect and like any other customer when they are in public. I called the corporate office and filed a complaint about the store, so hopefully this issue gets resolved quickly as I plan to follow up.

I have shopped at All American Sports for years, as both my kiddos are in sports. I also try to…read moresupport them since they are a small business and sponsor Colorado Springs Little League. However, after this last interaction, I will not be returning. I bought a pair of baseball pants for my son and they did not fit. I brought them back within the allotted time frame and was told they would not take the pants back because the receipt showed "unhemmed pants" but according to the worker, "these are clearly hemmed". The UPC code was the same for the pants on the receipt and on the tag on the pants. The worker (perhaps the owner) accused them of being "game worn". I told him that they did not fit my son, so he could not have worn them to a game. Also, I am not sure that I have seen white pants that are still stark white look stark white after a game. I showed him the tag on the pants showing they came from All American Sports. He still refused to exchange them. It really is a shame when the smaller companies do not support their customers, and customers are forced to go elsewhere. Very dissappointed and will share this experience with other parents within the league.

He had a great personality, willingness to help, and very knowledgeable. Long story short --We did all the boot fitting process (measurements, standing in place, baking the boots, talking about fit and feel) and narrowed it down to the Atomic Hawx which was a significant improvement from my current boots and much needed on my end for performance and fit. David did mention the need for having bindings that were Grip Walk compatible which I didn't know if my binding had that but I had them in my car so I brought them in later on. Now after the boots were molded, fitted, and amazing we started the binding conversation. My current bindings were not compatible with Grip Walk boots and the problem solving started. Megan and Chris they worked their magic and troubleshooted the Grip-Walkless binding situation I was in and problem solved with another pair of Atomic boots that still had the Alpine Soles as they were out of the spare parts in the stock room. I greatly appreciated the above and beyond service, friendliness, and overall care for me as a customer and the extra steps everyone took to go above and beyond. As someone who has worked in retail, I can appreciate and understand the stress and impact the job has on you and I would like to give kudos to David, Chris, and Megan. You made my experience unforgettable, I felt extremely valued during my time with all of you and I can't wait to use my new boots this weekend. Thank you so much! I will be absolutely share my experience at REI with others and recommend they go there for any ski related needs.

Purchased a Precor TRM 425 treadmill from Fitness Systems for home use and I couldn't be happier!…read moreWe had an older treadmill and were looking to replace it with a gym-quality machine since we like the ones we use at the gym. Since this was a long-term purchase and on the higher cost side, we wanted to make sure we made the right decision. The employees at Fitness Systems were great! They happily answered our numerous questions, even reaching out to their Precor rep to get more details. We visited the store at least 2 - 3 times and again, they were fantastic at answering our questions and letting us run on the machines to test them out. At no time did we ever feel pressured to purchase or that we were wasting their time. Delivery of the unit from Precor to the store was a bit delayed (not Fitness Systems fault, issue on Precor) but Fitness Systems kept me updated the whole time and we totally felt taken care of. Delivery and set-up at our house went perfectly too. The delivery guys were friendly and professional. They were more than helpful to answer any questions we had. I also like that they have a long history in the Springs, starting in the 80's. We visited another local shop that had only been around for about a year which makes me hesitant since you're never sure how long they'll be around for warranty or any maintenance issues. I definitely recommend Fitness Systems if you're looking for fitness equipment.
