Untrustworthy and Unprofessional Service This company was dispatched through AAA for roadside assistance, and the experience was terrible from start to finish. The technician did not return our wheel lock key after the service, and when I called to ask about it, the supervisor (Richard) was extremely rude and hung up on me while I was simply asking for an update. To make matters worse, they charged me for two service calls because their technician chose to put air in the tire instead of installing the spare tire as clearly requested from the start. We ended up with extra charges, missing equipment, and zero accountability from the company. If this company is dispatched for your AAA call, request a different provider. read more

The worst people I have ever dealt with. I am taking the owner to court as their technician came out, broke a part of my truck, could not figure out how to change a tire and was literally Youtubing it, left with my tire changing tool from the back of my truck, and falsely reported a tow on my membership. AAA asked them to come back and fix my spare tire lock. They left with the key and then ghosted me. I told AAA that they would most likely do something like that after a conversation with a manager who seemed mentally unstable. I reported this to the Better Business Bureau and their rating went down. read more

"Mike" (Nayef) responded to my AAA roadside assistance request on a Wednesday night. About 30-40 minutes from when I called - that's my fastest AAA response ever. He was very nice, professional & knowledgeable. What a great surprise - to find a response guy this patient and helpful ! He made the diagnosis and explained multiple options. Then he gave me his professional advice and pricing breakdown. He even took the time to further explain how to maximize my AAA membership & savings. A technician from Big E's responded to our AAA request for roadside assistance. It was super hot and I had just picked my sister up from the Austin airport because she was in town for my father's cremation. Needless to say, having a tire go out on a Sunday afternoon on I35 was not our idea of a good time. The technician showed up in 15 minutes and was super nice and efficient. Made sure that our spare was properly inflated (it wasn't and he took care of that). So very grateful for the timely and effective service. read more

A co-worker recommended that I use them to modify my Jeep. Despite the potential lucrative business for word of mouth, I would NEVER recommend using this company. First of all, it took four weeks just to get a quote for the items I wanted to add/correct on my vehicle - a total of six months to actually begin the work. I wanted to lift it, place bigger tires, replace the bumpers and fender flares, a side step, repair a gash in the passenger's door and around the windshield, replace the headlights and taillights, black out everything on the vehicle and add black, reflective tape to replace the "RUBICON," and install handles for when entering the vehicle. While it was in the shop, I had to pay for a rental car. The first time I picked it up, I noticed several things: * There was no lift. * The passenger door looked terrible. Paint is bubbled and the metal is warped. * There were bubbles in the reflective "RUBICON" stickers. * There was a huge hole in the hood and considerable scratches. * My Beats wireless headphones were no longer in the vehicle. * The paint chipped off on the tires where black paint was placed over silver. * The "Jeep" emblem on the hood was painted, but looked terrible and the paint chipped off. I contacted the company to let them know of the issues I had. He did not recall discussing a lift. I did, because he explained that he would give me a Jeep club discount. He asked me to give him a chance to correct the situation and had the vehicle last week when I was away on company business. He said he would have it detailed and would also place some hood latches that I had purchased. The second time I picked it up, I noticed several things: * I did get my lift. * The door still looked horrible. * There are still bubbles in the reflective "RUBICON" stickers. * Nothing was corrected on the hood. We discussed replacing it with a vented Poison Spyder hood. * The paint is still chipping off on the tires. I explained that if it was going to do that, I would rather have the paint removed. * The "Jeep" emblem was just painted over and not replaced with the pre-painted black letters. * The detailing was poor and I had to ask to have my mats placed back in the vehicle. * I was told that he was going to take a good look at the original bill to see if there were overpayments. He never got back with me. Nor did I see any other discount, besides the sale of my previous tires. As consumers, we get what we pay for. I dropped a significant amount into enhancements to my Jeep and should have been more pleased with the outcome. In fact, I am completely unsatisfied with the results, when I should be completely happy with my "new" Jeep. Now I am tasked with finding another company to take care of the issues that I have. This is even more frustrating since I had budgeted for a certain amount. Sent a letter to the owner and received ZERO response. read more

Big E's responded to my call to AAA for towing today. At first they refused to tow me because AAA erroneously told them my coverage did not include towing, which was not their fault. I got the issue resolved with AAA and they came to tow me *but* when they loaded up my bike I told them that they might want to consider using the center kickstand rather than the side one, because why would you tow a vehicle off center when you don't have to? Big E. must stand for Big Ego because the driver got mad at me for telling him about the kickstand and told me how he knew what he was doing. I told him he thought he was right when he told me my AAA membership didn't include towing too. Well that was too much for him to take and Mr.Big E. told me he did not have to tow my bike. At that point I didn't want it towed by him, so I told him to put it down and called Pepper Towing in Leander and got very professional service without the attitude. read more

Absolute hands down best service!!! Ladies they won't take advantage of u at all. Had my 2006 F150xlt serviced plus other things that were absolute needed..Patrick, Gil the other mechanics and the ladies working the desk were so professional, friendly, knowledgable!!! My final bill was even less than the estimate. I was called before all work was started for approvals and told how long it would take. Nice waiting area and separate very nice restrooms...Terrific place!!! read more

I have had a AAA call response from Big E's Keys and Roadside Repair on several occasions. Twice for battery assistance (for those who don't know this, you can buy a new high end battery right off the response truck! how handy is that?) and once, yesterday (25 degrees the day after an ice storm!) for a low tire. Darryl has been my technician on several of these calls. He is an outstanding young man, polite, considerate, helpful, and pleasant. Exceptional to deal with, sort of a rarity in this day and age. He said he thought my tire had a slow leak and spotted the screw in my tire right away. After checking it, he thought it would be ok to air up the tire (it wasn't completely flat yet, about 10 lbs low) and drive it to my nearby garage. I was trying to spare us both another 30+ minutes in the cold wind. He actually followed me part of the way to make sure the tire was going to hold. It did, didn't lose any more air on the trip, so he made an excellent call. What a pleasant experience! I appreciate Big E's being available in my community and I hope they answer all my future AAA service calls! I will certainly keep them in mind for future mechanic work. read more
