We brought my Traverse to them for a noise issue and it was returned it to me with the same noise occurring. Another example is we asked them to diagnose an issue with our Pontiac. They suggested a $800+ service of replacing the spark plugs. I was assured that the car ran as good as new. Except as I drove away from the lot, I could tell that the car was just the same. Long story short, the transmission is shot and needs to be rebuilt. They wasted our money and lost our trust. We are very disappointed and will no longer be their customers. It's a real shame.

It is the little directional button that controls the directions of my Sideview mirrors. Two years I had been looking for this 1 specific item, went to Rockauto, A1Auto Parts, AutoZone, and even Advanced Auto, no one had it or they couldn't get it. But on this day on 4 October 2023, Wednesday, I searched over behind the Green fenced area where they used to have an abundance of trucks similar to year of my truck, to my surprise very little trucks were there. As I walking back to leave, in the distance, I spotted a Ford that looked similar to mine if the clearing all the way in the back pass, all the buses; there were 2 vehicles that I could choose from, one was a 97-98 Expedition and the other was a 97-99 Ranger. In both vehicles was the part that I had been looking for, so I got both just in case one of them was to break later on down the line, this way I would have a backup. I dropped my 1988 GMC Truck off at Hollywood Transmission & Automotive on Sunday afternoon. I…read moretold Dave I wanted to have the transmission rebuilt based on the way it had been operating with some intermittent clanking sounds and lower than normal fluid levels. He said he would take it for a test drive the following day to see if it could be repaired versus a full rebuild. I was surprised and appreciated that he wanted to try and repair it first, especially when I had already agreed to a rebuilt. Dave found that indeed there was a blown seal and the trans would only operate in two gear ranges. He also could tell that it had been rebuilt before using inexpensive components. Dave was correct, I had it rebuilt about 8 years ago and looked for the cheapest price I could find. I guess you get what you pay for? Monday evening I surprisingly received a text message from Dave with a detailed video showing the status and condition of my transmission with all the old parts and new parts ready to go in. I felt like Dave was the surgeon and I was right in the operating room with him for a play by play review. Tuesday evening I received pictures of my transmission with the new parts installed and was told I could pick it up Wednesday morning. Because of the (corona virus) and (me with secondary health issues) I called Dave when I arrived and asked if we could conduct the payment and pickup of my vehicle outside. Dave promptly met me outside wearing a mask and gloves. I thanked Dave, and we talked a bit, and I was on my way. The truck operated smoothly all the way home. I will definitely use Dave again and will recommend him to my family and friends. Frankly, Dave has spoiled me, I'm not use to receiving this type of quality customer service.
