I am selling my house and I figured it would be a good thing to wash the carpets. My wife and I looked online and found the "Big Dollar" folks. Scheduling was ok, with a large service window, but nothing too bad. They do not provide an estimate over the phone, not even a guidance (e.g. $100 per room, or something like it). For our 3 bedroom house they ended up charging $300, which is not bad, bit it is not "discount" by any measurement.
The carpets were cleaned properly and most stains were lifted. Nothing to write about, but competent work.
The reason I am writing is to praise the amount of fiber the person that cleaned my house eats. I mean, considering he lives in a pig farm. I can only assume he lives in a pig farm because every non-carpeted surface in the house had dirty footprints on. We had to clean them from all hardwood surfaces in the first floor.
The fiber thing I know because they were nice enough to leave a steaming pile of human feces on our downstairs bathroom. Wow - that was worth a thousand points at least, and because they saved on the flushing department, we enjoyed very much the smell and scrubbing the dried out spread. Fantastic - I am glad we paid a cleaning service to clean the house the day before and leave it in pristine conditions so they could produce that work of art undisturbed.
So, all and all, I am writing a sarcastic review instead of getting mad. I am not sure that is the best thing to do, but I'll let the Internet take its course. read more
