first time through automatic car wash....not as clean if a person had washed it, but good enough for a quick wash.

The driver side windshield wiper on my F150 pickup truck was damaged by the blow dryer and the spinning wheel that supposedly dries the vehicle at the end of the cycle. Blower set wiper arm off the windshield, then the spinning wheel tore the wiper blade off. An incident was reported to the manager on duty, paperwork was completed with a promise of someone getting back to me. There was another F150 damaged in the same manner just prior to my incident. About 3 weeks later, still no contact with anyone from Big Dan's. I replaced the wiper blades the same day, but found that the mechanism was damaged beyond repair. I had to purchase a new wiperarm assembly, have it installed at an auto repair shop with the wiper blades that was purchased the day of the incident. The total for the repair was $267.10 plus several hours of my time. I will not be returning to this business....ever. read more

I stopped by Big Dan's Car Wash for its grand opening. They're offering free car washes till Wednesday, 4/27. They're offering their best wash, the "Big Dan's Ceramic Special," which is $40 a month. The line was super long because employees were having people remove items from the bed of trucks along with trailer hitches. The wash itself was great and dried my truck perfectly! 7.5/10. read more

Be aware don't go here. Big Dan car wash. Crystal River. Been taking my car there about 8 months probably go couple times a month. Never dry my car with towels it air drys. My hood and roof have been scratched thru the paint. Now that it has to be compounded out. Of course no fault their machine. They watched videos and said nothing happened to cause that. The flaps and/or rotating brush caused it, the grit and wear and tear. Other customers haven't complained. Make sure you all are checking your vehicles in the sun when you come out. I will never go back. Id rather do it myself. The machine is garbage. They find anything to say not to take responsibility. The managers solution is to give me a couple months free. No thanks, so it can cause more damage. I will never go thru there again. I liked going there until I came across this. Lost my business and I won't recommend anyone go thru there. read more

Big Dan's Car Wash is handing out air fresheners that destroyed the finish on my cars console. The air freshener actually ate into console itself not just marring the finish. What chemicals are used to produce these that they are dissolving finishes? One of their people from the Rome Georgia office called me to say he was sorry. But advised we are not going to repair the damage. He said we have a note on the bottom of the cellophane sleeve that says do not put against any surfaces. Just an FYI this air freshener was placed on the shifter for a reason. The reason being by law you are not allowed to have anything hanging from your rear-view mirror which since it has an elastic tether that is exactly where they presumed this air freshener would be placed. As well as the fact that the car washes name is on it for the purposes of advertisement. So you do the right thing by law and this free car wash air freshener ends up causing a few hundred dollars worth of damage. The Owners of Big Dan's Car Wash seem to be fine with that. Now let's take this conversation one step further the fact that people and children despite what it says in microprint on the cellophane wrapper are going to be handling this air freshener especially children if it's put where this company actually intends it to be. This would definitely indicate placement for this air freshener is on the rear view mirror. I'm sure I do not have to advise on every time somebody would actually touch the air freshener in a car and if a child sees it sitting there he is going to play with it. Which means he's getting this unknown chemical on his hands and where do childrens hands end up? In their mouth. So if this chemical can dissolve paint and eat into plastic what do you think it's going to do if this gets into a child internally. As a further note I obtained a new one that a relative of mine that was still in the cellophane package. Just as an added comment it says these are made in China so God knows what chemical they use in the manufacturing of this air freshener. I'll try and keep you posted I'm going to see if I can get a chemical analysis done on the air freshener that caused the damage in my car I'll let you know the results read more
