Hate the name but really liked the place. Cool environment, chill bartenders, and a nice location. Good for a relaxed night out with friends

Whenever my friends or wife end up at Mimi's across the street, I will typically ditch them for Big Daddy's.

Yet, it seems quite popular with locals and was fairly full for a Tuesday Trivia Night. I ordered a Pimm's cup since Pimm's was on the shelf - the bartender looked confused and told me they don't have any of the ingredients to make one. I changed my order to a flavored vodka - they don't stock any. I ended up ordering a Vodka & 7, but received a Vodka Soda. Were the drinks cheap? Not so much. Was the service friendly? Not so much. I ordered food hoping this was the redeeming feature of the bar. I ordered a steak sandwich at $18 - the service time was quick but the sandwich didn't have much flavor - it was a dry, difficult to bite through thin steak with not much flavor to speak of. The tater tots were crispy and hot and I loved the Brussel Sprouts; they were doused excessively in the dressing but I liked it. There is a nice patio out back - they had fans in this area which is always appreciated. This bar just didn't have the stock and amenities that many other bars in the area do have . Walk to magazine street for better options.

They are really good but I think they could be better. The crust wasn't as doughy and perfect as other pizzas I have had in the past and the thin part sometimes just fell apart. But flavors were on point and good for a classic pizza. Make sure you tip well and make sure you tip Michael making the pizzas in the back cause when he is there I felt like the pizzas were 10x. The ambience is like a tourist spot with high in and outs, but also with a cool treehouse looking bar. Music is a vibe so it keeps people in and out. And service is always quick and on point. I would recommend this pizza if you are around here.

Music was loud but fun, and some animated films were playing on a screen hanging on the wall.We ordered two drinks, the Bryce and the Travis. The drinks were $14 each. Very tasty and they didn't skimp on the alcohol. We also ordered a large supreme pizza. It appeared to be served by the cook. The toppings were plentiful and evenly distributed. The crust was thin and crispy. After reading some reviews suggesting the ranch sauce, we asked for some. It was dill-icious! We had the leftovers the next morning and it was amazing the 2nd time around COLD.

It's the perfect venue to enjoy a delicious craft beer paired with light snacks and appetizers. They have an awesome outdoor section that's ideal for large groups, events, or just hanging out with friends. I love the outdoor games and the relaxed vibe -- especially during the spring and summer months when they run their weekend crawfish specials. The beer selection is excellent with a wide variety of options, and the connected Bayou Wine Garden gives you even more choices. Happy hour here is truly one of the best in the city! My personal favorites: the naked wings and the Caesar salad -- always delicious. There's plenty of seating, great energy, and it's consistently a fun, easygoing spot to grab a drink, enjoy good food, and connect with friends. Service is great at both venues.
