In the area for vacation and needed to add extensions to my mags. I bought the extensions on Amazon and brought them into the store and they put them on for me at no charge! Purchased a SIG SRD9 suppressor off of them on 10/22/2020. It still has not arrived at my FFL. Whenever I ask about it I am told the Form 3 is still pending. In the same time frame I ordered three other suppressors, had the Form 3s clear, my FFL received them, submitted the Form 4s for them and had the checks cashed by the ATF. I believe BDU sold me a suppressor that was not in stock and is claiming the Form 3 is still pending until the suppressor is available. I asked for a copy of the submitted Form 3 and they refused to provide it. I should have been suspicious when they claimed to have 209 in stock - but given BDU's reviews I took a chance. This is my "go to" gun shop. The staff is always friendly and attentive and go above and beyond to take care of my. They don't product push like many other local shops. They earned my business when I challenged them with a request of finding 4 hard to get guns. Other area gun stores had been working on the same request for 10 - 12 months. Big Daddy Guns has 3 of the 4 items in stock for me in less than a month! I've also done a custom build with them that was amazing. It's a build I had attempted with another shop...that shop just berated me and tried to talk me out of the build and switch sale me to something they had on the shelf. So I won a gun off one their GunBroker auctions. Damn good price. I I didn't think to look at Yelp til it was time to drive to the 'Ville to go fetch it. I was pretty horrified by the one star rating. So I showed up and to my surprise there was a well organized store with friendly employees. Took about ten minutes to process my 4473, gave me time to look at the inventory. I called ahead and they had set my gun aside ahead of time, which I read was sometimes a problem. I walked out the door with my gun for 60 bucks under MSRP+tax. Even if you factor in the gas I spent to get there from Jacksonville, it was still a good deal. I'm not really sure why the other reviews were so bad. So I'm going to say that sometimes shit happens when you deal online. And to the second dude, I feel you on the comm, It was kind of hard for me to get a hold of them too. But seriously, who doesn't know that LH stands for Left hand/left handed?? I ordered a holster on a weekend. The description said Bond Arms LH Thumbsnap. A few minutes later I did a search on the part and realized LH was Left Handed. I am right handed. I emailed them and called them right away (no pun) and I got no response. Voicemail that went to voicemail. They shipped the product right out to me (pun intentional) and have not retruned my calls or emails since. I guess I will sell it on eBay and put in BOLD print LEFT HANDED not a LH in the middle of a long descriptor. read more

I've never been talked to today as I was today. I've let things slide like ammo in the wrong boxes. They've fired everybody who knew about guns and owed them. I think this new staff doesn't even own guns. If I wanted to be sold something I'll go to bass pro shop. Never going back I don't care how great there prices are and if they have hard to find items I'll pass. If I want to be treated bad I can just go to pickets or lawful defense. I visited the Ocala store when they opened looking to purchase a particular handgun. The sale would have been about $900.00. They had very few guns in stock. I was told that they would not order the handgun but that I could join their online club for $9.95 a month and buy the gun through there if it became available. I went to another shop in Ocala and had the handgun I wanted within a week. I did join Bigdaddy unlimited and found another handgun at what seemed like a good price. At purchase, they added a $35.00 shipping charge to ship the gun from Gainesville to Ocala, and then charged me $25.00 for the back ground check the day I picked it up. These charges added about $70.00 to the price of the gun, putting it above the cost of buying it elsewhere. I immediately cancelled the auto-renew for my membership. Rural King ships guns to their stores for free and only charges $5.00 for the back ground check. Big Daddy has lost a customer for good. read more

Ordered a $700.00 Revolver A Smith and Wesson 686 + I bought it from them off of Gunbroker.com WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A BRAND NEW GUN, WAS THE OPPOSITE! My FFL is not only a gun smith but also a police chief in the local area. When I first saw it I said I know they test shot but look down the barrel there is rust and you can see it was certainly shot. But My FFL brought up the fact that if you look at where the bullets are loaded and shot out of, you can see a lot of carbon build up which is the real sign of usage. They of course denied it and their phone customer service is useless, if they even answer. Finally got their owner to answer an email after 4 emails and needless to say he was very unhelpful. Said I can return it knowing that I would be about a transfer fee which is $50.00 plus I'd have to ship it back pay for shipping and get docked a 15% restocking fee. So they know they have you and by your you know what.. Terrible people. read more
