Had never been in before, had to just about tackle an employee to find out we needed to be on a list for a dressing room. Then was informed that we could only bring 5 dresses in the dressing room and then we would have to put our name back on the list to try on more. That would be fine if we were not the only ones who this was enforced on. Watched another mom daughter who tried on 14 dresses!! They do have a great selection, although the employees need to pay more attention to when they are putting sizes on the tags...I found about a dozen dresses with the wrong size listed on their price tags...totally different size sewn into the dress. While I have friends that really lobe their apparel, I find the styles a bit frumpy. For Covid, their relaxed style and generous cuts would probably be enjoyed by the new work at home crowd. Lots of blacks, navy, and grays in simple styles, definitely wardrobe stapes. With a few pops of color - true green was prevalent - and whites to make coordinating outfits and building on existing wardrobes super easy. Like Garanimals for adults! Store is a decent size, well organized but lacked flair. The store, like the clothing, needs some pizazz. I browsed at my leisure but nothing caught my attention and I tried! There were two women working that day, arranging the new items that had arrived and they explained the brand and offered assistance. When I mentioned that a friend has been wearing their clothing for years, they gave me a brochure that shows the dates of specific releases and when they will hit the store. Evidently, CAbo has a big following of people that know the individual lines within the Brand and look forward to releases. It was clear they were friends, and their friendly warm banter was like a breath of fresh air in the ladies' retail world. That definitely makes one want to buy something! I made note that this store has some of my faves: Brighton, Hobo, and lots of classic clothing along with fun eclectic fashion items as well. We chatted and they gave me such a great sense of wanting to return, about a month later, I brought an out-of-state visiting friend there. The vibe was entirely different. A young-ish tall woman was the only salesperson on duty. She barely greeted us when we entered, paced around the floor with a pissed-off bored look on her face, fiddled with some stuff behind the counter, paced around impatiently some more, and did a stellar job of vibing us right out the door. There were a few other shoppers in the store and I noted they didn't stay long either. Totally baffling because my friend and I are your target demographic. We very likely would have done some serious shopping. Congrats on hiring someone who will make sure your store is empty, and safe from all those pesky and bothersome shoppers! Was it an ageism issue? Was she just having an off day? Who knows; who cares. We were made to feel so uncomfortable, I have walked by there numerous times and contemplated going in, but then thought, nahhhh, not worth the psychological beat-down (yes, that young saleswoman's attitude was THAT bad). Pity, because the other sales ladies were awesome, and I am in need of some new Hobo and Brighton items.
