The chicken is delicious and the portions are HUGE! The service at this location was also amazing - the staff was so willing to help us navigate the menu as first timers. They offered suggestions for everyone in our party of 6. I would also recommend the milk shakes...they are delicious and a nice sweet treat to end your meal. The location is big and well kept! We will definitely return.

While on my food tour of the DFW metropolitan area, I decided to check out Shaq's Big Chicken. The restaurant has a fun vibe and the branding definitely grabs your attention, it's not every day you get to eat at a place with Shaq's name on it. Unfortunately, the experience fell flat when it came to value. One sandwich meal, called the Philly Fadeaway, rang up at $13.49. For what you get, that price is shocking. The sandwich itself was bland with very little flavor, and the portion size does not justify the cost by any means. This is a very poor value, especially compared to other fast-casual options in the DFW area. The restaurant was empty during my visit, I was the only customer. The food did come out quickly, but the service left me scratching my head. There are signs that clearly say "Order Here" and "Pick Up Here", so I stood at the counter waiting. Instead, the cashier brought my food over and asked, "Where are you sitting? I have to bring your food to your table!" Thanks for the customer service, but it left me wondering if this confusion is normal here. The one highlight of the meal was the crinkle cut fries, perfectly cooked with great crispness and flavor. Unfortunately, even those couldn't balance out the overall disappointment. Overall, Shaq's Big Chicken may be worth trying once for the novelty and the fries, but when it comes to flavor, and value it just doesn't deliver.

Restaurant is nice and clean bathrooms are separate drinks are self service portions are a good size lemon pepper wings are tasty as well as the barbecue ones. The mac & cheese is a little dry, but it was tasty. The portion for the kids meal of the two tenders with fries was a lot Strawberry watermelon lemonade was real good

First of all, the staff were super helpful and kind. They really seemed to enjoy working here and their have fun attitude was contagious! My server filled up my drink even though it's self serve! That's above and beyond! The place was laid back and not too loud, especially for being a Saturday night with sports games on! I really enjoyed the rustic design of the place as seen in the photos. I even noticed an NBA Jam arcade game by the entrance which is really a neat touch as the owner of this place is Shaq. Getting a meal also came with a pleasant drink selection seen in the photos. I ordered the number 3 meal titled "Unlce Jerome's Nashville Hot" with Fries and a drink. I especially liked their strawberry watermelon drink. The chicken wasn't too spicy and had a pleasant mix of flavor. The fries and ranch were great, as I was pleasantly surprised by the ranch. I will definitely be back!

We really wanted to like this, but it's quite overhyped. The restaurant itself is quite small and narrow, you have to stand between tables and the bar to wait in line since the counter is in the very back. The staff is quite friendly, some more than others, but I think they need to have a better system for milkshakes. We ordered 4 combo meals and the person taking the order recorded 3 so when we were looking at the receipt we had to put in another order before leaving the counter. With our meals we had gotten fountain drinks and also one milkshake. The drink machine was out of ice, and the separate drinks (watermelon) were not very good so we had to wait for them to bring out a container of ice and a scoop just so we could get fountain drinks. At this point we had to find a place to wait so we sat at the bar. Now because this is a small establishment and they make a lot of fried chicken... the whole establishment is very very smoky. So if you're questioning if your glasses are just really dirty or if it's smoky... it's just smoky. The food arrived after a while and the person was nice enough to get us all the sauces to try. That sad part is that they don't really reconcile the ticket to we said our thanks and left... without the milkshake. The food itself for the price... was underwhelming. We expected large loaded chicken sandwiches and were really disappointed. The flavor was also quite lacking. I always recommend everyone try for themselves, but for me, I probably wouldn't choose to go back.

My husband had heard this place was good and wanted to try it out! Being out in Ft Worth it was a bit of a hike from Irving for us but we decided to give it a try one night for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised - the restaurant was not super busy on a friday night at 7:30pm, but it had steady clientele and everything was fresh made to order. They let us try all their sauces. My favorite was the buffalo but I didn't need it unless i got the little dunks again- which is basically popcorn chicken. We both got the chicken sandwich with the mac and cheese on it and we shared a side of fries and a PB milkshake. The sandwiches and the milkshake were SO good! I'm actually glad this isn't closer or i'd want it more often haha. And it was about $35ish if I remember correctly for all the food- next time we would pass on the dunks though, we already had more than enough food.

Never been here before, I'm a big Shaq fan so wanted to try this place out. Wasn't disappointed. Got there about 11:40 am this morning, there were maybe 8 of us there. They have a drive-up but wanted to go inside. Nice snazzy bar area which really surprised me. $5 frozen margaritas always !! Got the #5 Shaq Attack fried chicken sandwich and a strawberry marg. Very impressed with everything !!

Big Chicken is the kind of spot where comfort food meets casual cool--and where you can definitely dig in (literally) to some finger-licking goodness. From the moment we walked in, the friendly and helpful staff made us feel like we were part of the family, shout out to Jaitavia even if Uncle Jerome himself didn't make an appearance. Speaking of Uncle Jerome, his hot chicken sandwich was the standout: crispy, juicy, and packing just enough heat to remind you who's boss. And those tenders? They're not your average chicken strips; they're full of flavor, perfectly seasoned, and begging to be dipped into whatever sauce you fancy. The atmosphere was lively yet chill--a perfect backdrop for indulging in fried chicken done right. Big Chicken isn't just a place to eat; it's a place to savor. Whether you're there for a quick bite or planning to settle in for the vibe, it's worth the visit. Just save some room for seconds--you'll need it.

Heard about this new chicken place called Big Chicken owned by Shaq opened and then drove by a few time when i was in the area not being able to stop, but this time i had the time and I wanted me some fried chicken. Well, i got a big surprise. They only have chicken sandwich, tenders and wings. The funny part is that they have a full bar and a terrible tequila selection. lol I know why it's called Big cause of the price, OMG, the price is a lot to much for me. I got the tenders and fries to go. The fries were good and salty and a decent amount. The tenders were breaded perfect, tender and juicy and normal size for most tenders. I like the taste also, it was floury and dry or over spiced. The young lady i dealt with was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, i most likely won't be back, cause i just can't deal with the price.

Great Taste, Fries where cooked crispy, sandwich was a but small, will be back to try the wings

Big Chicken? I don't know about that. They have the smallest chicken sandwich. The name does not carries the actual food quality. It's just a regular fast food sandwich, overpriced. The employees were excellent the service was really good, cannot see the same about the food. Shame on Shaq for naming this restaurant a big chicken with small sandwiches.

Big Chicken # 2 which was a chicken sandwich with Mac on it (my sons) and a Big Chicken Salad.

Drove past this place looking for a spot to eat. We didn't realize this was a franchise by Shaq until we got there. My sons was pretty excited since he a huge Basketball & Shaq fan. Cool little place, music is loud & the employees were friendly. It has a bar area but it seems it would be too crowded because seats are all close but not bad for a Monday lunch. The food was good though my son said it could have used some more flavor but my salad was pretty delish. We will for sure stop by again to try out the different menu items.

The Big Fella's Big Chicken had big flavor. No missed free throws. Nashville Hot chicken, crinkle cut fries, mac'n'cheese and even Pepsi Zero. Slam dunk.

Cookies and cream shake.. they look delicious and huge in the picture.. 6 plus dollars.. I prefer to run to Braums. Get more for my money.

It's good, but the hubby and I agreed, the food was not as flavorful as we were expecting. Full disclosure - the issue may be that I don't eat fast food and he rarely eats fast food. This chain is a fancier version of most fast food places. We got the large Italian roast beef combo (comes with large fries and a drink), a fish sandwich (Much better version than a fast food place), fries, and chocolate cake (I'm a dessert expert!) The roast beef was very tender, but not well seasoned. We got it with 1/2 hot & 1/2 sweet peppers. This sandwich does need the peppers to add some flavor. The au jus was OK, but again, not flavorful - just something to "wet" the sammie. The fish sandwich was large, fresh, and had a decent flavor. Our fries were the star of the show. They know how to make good crinkle cut fries. The chocolate cake was a disappointment. I didn't mind the cake part being made with oil, but good frosting is always made with butter and this cake did not have butter cream frosting. The hubby said if he was ever in the area, he'd grab a sammie from here. I would just go to one of the many other nearby spots. Again, the food wasn't bad, just decent. There is plenty of parking and this location is huge. You can sit inside and eat, or hit up their drivethrough area, or order on the app and pickup inside like I did.

Not the Zaxbys experience I've ever received, in fact. To start, no greeting whatsoever when you enter. That was ALWAYS a Zaxbys thing, to say hello at least. I ended up standing there at the counter for almost a minute with the cooks staring at me before anyone came to the register to take my order. I could tell drive thru has priority now because that is where all the employees were standing. My food was good, just the tenders seemed small! I ordered extra sauce and it was in the bag thankfully. But there's only one trash station in the whole dining area, none outside either. So if you're in need of throwing away your trash, it's on the drive thru door side. Lastly, the cashier taking orders wasn't giving customers their drinks. He was waiting until they received their food, but I politely asked if I could go ahead and get my drink cups since my kiddos had been looking forward to a sweet drink. I noticed quite a few upset customers who were standing around trying to get their drink cups while the cashier was at the drive thru window. Disappointing because I used to love zaxbys, but this location doesn't have the same staff as previous visits. Customer service kept me coming back and paying $10 for a Big Zak Snak, but I'm not so sure about it anymore. Raising Cane's will probably be my go-to since it is closer and has better customer service, even though I'd prefer Zaxbys sauces.
