After going through an extensive total home renovation project lasting a solid year and many upgrades over the years, my wife and I have experienced the good, the bad, and the ugly. I have trusted sources but lacked a reputable/good standing plumbing company. I had never heard of Leo's Plumbing and Repair LLC. However, they stuck out in their reviews. I state this in terms of consistency with professionalism, quality of work, communication, and truly valuing their clientele - testimony from several past reviews. My initial call and further exchanges in conversation involved Wes. He was always accessible, extremely polite, professional, understanding, accommodating, consistent. Great guy! Further, my situation wasn't an emergency but required a technician within a few days. He explained that their crews were tied up on large projects but managed to make an exception and tend to my requirement within a two day time frame. This was for my convenience, not their's. Nadi was the tech who arrived. He was polite, professional, and did high quality work. The charge for the work was both transparent and extremely fair. I don't know the owner but it's apparent to me that he has created a longstanding and positive culture of quality, trust, and value.

He said he would make me the first appointment in his day as it was so urgent. I really appreciated this as it looked as the water had been running from my yard into the ditch at least all night. He came within the hour and it was determined that I had a water meter leak or break. Thankfully the break was found to be on the county's side so the county will handle the repairs and I do not have a high water bill coming to me. Leo was very helpful, professional and came very quickly with his team. A very nice gentleman from Henrico County Water also came and the county has been very quick to respond.

I've called them twice now to address a leak under the house, replace two toilets, put in a pedestal sink with a new faucet and address leaks in an upstairs bathroom. I've just purchased a house in July 2019 and because it's an old house, it has had to have numerous issues addressed. Now I feel like I've got all things covered for future plumbing issues. I added them to my contacts' list! I've gotten a home warranty with my house purchase which is useful maybe a third of the time. The home warranty has contracted with a plumbing company that has a good plumber that I've seen once but two times they've sent "Mike" who is looking for an exit upon arrival. Each time "Mike" has been contracted, I. Wind up paying $100 for the visit and "Mike" ultimately says, "this is a caulking issue; we don't do caulk. That's up to the home owner." He totally missed a failed wax seal on an upstairs toilet that was leaking (and causing a sewage smell). I was pretty irritated but glad I had D&R Plumbing come over. They could immediately spot what the issue was and went right to work. I called on a Thursday night and set up an appointment for Saturday morning at 10:30. They got there early and fixed the leaks for a very reasonable price. Just LOVE them! Because this was my 2nd time having them out, I received a $25 off coupon! I've already told several co-workers about them because they are great people that don't shy away from any job and go above and beyond to make sure the client is happy. I was glad they took credit cards, too. With a 70 year old house, I know they'll be there to help me in the future and I am super grateful. Thanks David & Robin!

BRC is also known as Lakeside Plumbing and Heating, but now only does commercial. Too bad because…read morethey helped me out about 5 times when they used to do residential and prices were way better than Woodfin, Bremac, or Southside Fuel, and they worked on oil boilers as opposed to only gas. The manager was the owner's daughter and she was super too. All of their workers were class A, so sorry they no longer do residential. Ahh, tragedy. Great on heating and plumbing both. I never used them for air conditioning, but they excel at the other two. Gundlach is another place that does oil boilers and they were pleasant on the phone, but Lakeside won out in the end. Other companies do gas boilers, which is a horse of another color, and not similar at all, so hire Lakeside for oil systems. Dean at Lakeside was great with the oil part, meaning the filter, gasket, and nozzles, checking the firebox, replacing the couplings etc. Randy was the go-to guy for the water portion of the boiler, like the reducing valve, aquastat, or using flux to solder a pipe. Gary, their plumber did my kitchen sink with new hoses underneath the cabinet and new faucet handles above and did a very good job. It was somewhat hard since my home was built in 1959 and some of the pipe and fittings are smaller than they used to be on the old brick houses, but Gary had the part already in stock on the truck. Gary also assists Randy or either Jared assists Randy when the boiler job is big, because sometimes it takes 2 people, but then they are done that much faster. Once they even gave me a free estimate, whereas Woodfin wanted to charge me just for coming out. Woodfin also wanted to make a profit off the part to the tune of a 300% mark up, and Lakeside's prices were much more reasonable. Overall, these people were knowledgeable, fast, and reasonably priced. Ten thumbs up!

The hot and cold plumbing to my sinks was installed in reverse. The toilets were not properly bolted down (they rocked) and screws that were used rusted and stained my tile floors. I would get water leakage when in rained hard. I recently had some work done by another plumbing company and had to have them fix a lot of the issues from my original installation with Lakeside. Hopefully things have improved but if not, Caveat Emptor.
