We initially had a trial lesson last year, which was fine and this year we signed up for six lessons. Pertinent positives: the facility is generally clean and well kept, and I like the bathrooms and ample changing spaces. Negatives: I feel like this place is kind of run like a summer camp. I don't really see any management around or doing anything. And they don't really abide by basic rules. I complained about babies not wearing swim diapers and I continue to see the same kid not wearing a swim diaper six times in a row. It's really basic they could just ask a parent. Does your kid have a swim diaper on? They could even ask every baby's parent this. The other issue I have is the lack of consistency with teachers. I don't think we saw the same teacher twice. And every time they ask me the same question: how old is your son? Maybe he should be moved up to the other class? And then six lessons in and I feel like we're still at square one so honestly, I don't feel like it's worth the amount you have to pay to get consistency and progress. read more

My toddler did the free trial swim lesson last week with Ivan and I was so blown away by how attentive Ivan and the other teachers were. He was scared for the first 20 mins but started to warm up to everyone 10 mins before the lesson ended. We have done other swim classes before and I never saw him so happy in the water (without us). I immediately signed him up for classes with Ivan without any hesitation after that free trial class. The front staff was attentive and very nice. Registration was a breeze and they have a military discount too. While it isn't cheap, I really believe it is worth it. We have been to 3 different schools and we like this one the best. Fast forward to today and my kid walked into the pool with Ivan without any reservations! He immediately jumped in and had a blast. I highly recommend Big Blue. The instructors are all really attentive and know how to make kids feel at ease in the water. I also like that there is one teacher for every three kids, the small class size makes it easier for my kid to pay attention. I am looking forward to seeing my son learn how to swim! Thank you! This company lied to my wife and I. We signed up our kids to have the same time swim lesson trials, and after the trial my older daughter was unhappy with the teacher so the employee said he would put her in for another trial with a different teacher and my son we paid for his month of swim lessons. The next week comes and I am told that 1) my daughter is not one of the kids for swim class at the time (luckily a kid didn't show up and she was able to join) and 2) after the class we were told that she was placed in the wrong classes and they would not be able to accommodate the classes at the same time. Were paid for the classes so they could go at the same time, and now are telling us they can't and are not willing to give any refund. They stated "Refunds are not available for classes that have already been paid for." Not sure how else a refund would work, if you're not getting money back for something you paid for read more

This location just opened, and everything is so clean! Their staff is incredibly attentive. Additionally, it's not too crowded on weekdays (though I'm not sure about weekends). I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family. read more

Just had a trial class. My young daughter's first time here, so she was completely unfamiliar with the space and teacher. A male instructor proceeded to repeatedly tickle her which I could tell made her very uncomfortable. I do not understand how that ever was in the realm of appropriate. The worst experience you can ever imagine, The instructors o seem less interested in their job. The only thing are good about is to charge your card. Every session we had never satisfactory at all. We had a session yesterday where the instructor had zero interest in teaching, and it was a waste of time. Management did not know that she's not able to handle 2 beginners at a time. we brought it to the lady's attention " sandy", who was walking around, but she started justifying. when i asked about the manager she said he's never and never comes and that to not to waste my time he will never answer...??it was a complete waste of time. I just had my trial lesson. I want to love this place but I left a bit unsure. The instructor was very sweet and excellent with the babies, which is what gets the stars. But the facility seemed chaotic and disorganized. I arrived 20 minutes early to give myself enough time to speak to the staff, change my 7 month old daughter's diaper, and be ready to get her in the pool for the first time. A friendly staff member gave me a quick tour, told me where to sit, and said to wait to be called for check-in for the lesson. Unfortunately, no one ever announced check in, and I suddenly realized that the class was starting so I had to get the attention of a staff member to ask where to go. I quickly entered the pool area and got my daughter in the water, at which point the instructor told me someone was supposed to help take my baby from me for safety so I wasn't holding her while entering the pool. This makes sense and I think that safety protocol is very important, but there was absolutely no one around providing this direction or offering to help. It was like it was assumed that everyone knew where to go and what to do. It was not set up for first-timers. The lesson went super fast and there wasn't enough instruction at each station so I repeatedly had to ask the instructor what I was supposed to do and how to safely do each activity. Again, if you had been before and already knew the drill, then this wouldn't be a problem, but I expected better direction as a first time mom with a first time swimmer. That said, when asked, the instructor was more than happy to help. The class ended 5 minutes early, which was very short given that it's only a 30 minute class to begin with. In sum, the instructor was very friendly, my daughter took to her immediately, and she had such a blast! It's just that the overall experience was confusing and chaotic. Based on other reviews, maybe a weekday class would be calmer and more organized. This was a Sunday morning class. read more
