    Tubing slide...goes fast when greased!!!
    Margie H.

Only 4 stars cause my grandson who's 10 couldn't drive the go-carts even though he has driven cars at K1 go carting in San Diego. But he was happy with the tube slide and rope obstacle. The young ladies working could have been a little more helpful. Food was okay for kids. Always enjoy coming up to the clean air mountains and do the outside activities.

My almost 8 year old after the ropes course. She did the zip line portion too!

We are a family of 4 and spent a couple hours here today. We did all the activities, go kart racing, tubing and the ropes course. The tubing was SO fun and fast, highly recommend trying that!! We did the double go karts because we had our kids, they had fun with us on that. And then they have a big 3-story ropes course, it's so high! It also has a zip line which is freaky but fun. The staff was kind and helpful the whole time. Definitely recommend coming here for a day of fun.

This place is the absolute best! My 9 yr. old son had an amazing time. Staff was extremely attentive and caring. Ariana (I hope I got that right...) was extremely, over the top, amazing, awesome. She helped make my son feel safe AND brave at the same time. You seldom see such a tremendous level of kindness and patience anymore. Thank you for a fun time! We will be back soon!

NOT FOR CHILDREN UNDER 14. Our 11 year old rode in a 2 person car when her dad. There was a large group of teens (you must be over 14 to have a single car) in single cars which went faster than the only double car on the track. I asked the operator, after the "race" finished, if the double rider cars go slower than the single seater and they confidently stated yes. The double car was hit SEVERAL TIMES at such a high rate of speed and there was nothing they could do to get away from it nor did the operator "raise one of the 6 flags identified in the pre video and also posted on signs around the race". Having a car go slower is unsafe for the people in the slower car. We would not have agreed to do this attraction had we known any of this. It was completely not enjoyable and we will not recommend this to anyone in a 2 person car. The teens looked like they were having a great time and that was awesome but I wanted to climb over the fence and stop them from hitting my husband and daughter more than once.

Big Bear Speedway was a good time! The family and I took a trip to big bear in the beginning stages of COVID (May) and Big Bear Speedway was open! They were taking all COVID precautions and Sanitizing equipment and cars. The cars go up to 30 mph, single seats and double seats for kiddos. The courses are pretty simple but you get plenty of time. They also have a high ropes course that looked pretty fun. It is outdoors so it is open! It's fun if you plan on a little vacation.

A place where the Great Outdoors is embraced and being one with Nature is encouraged by all. Welcome to the Big Bear Discovery Center! While visiting our friends at their cabin in Beautiful Big Bear, we decided to take the kids to the Discovery Center to see what it was all about. Upon walking into the building, we were immediately immersed into the wildlife that makes up this areas landscape. From the avian wildlife, to the reptiles, to the large mammals that call Big Bear Home, the Discovery Center gave a great snapshot of what nature lives in these mountains. In addition, the various types of rock, plants and trees were also on display which showcased the unique landscape of the region. On the back part of the building, there was a decent sized gift shop where your young explorers can browse all of the nature related toys, books and gear to be a Jr. Ranger. But the fun didn't stop there... Out front, they had a table for kids to do a hands on activity. The day we went, kids could make their own bird feeder using a pine cone, peanut butter and bird seed. After making our homemade bird feeders, we took a short walk to the other side of the building where they had an outdoor area called Nature Discovery Zone where kids could play, dig, build things. There are other activities on site, but this is all we did on our visit. If you find yourself in the Big Bear area and have young kids, definitely a good place to come check out. They do have some snacks and drinks inside the gift shop, but I didn't see any actual hot food to eat. There are picnic benches and places you can sit and relax if you want to pack a lunch and eat in the outdoor area. Now... Who's ready to Discover the behind the scenes of Big Bear!

The go-karts were probably the biggest thrill for me, with plenty of speed and just enough friendly competition to make every lap interesting. I also loved the ropes course, especially the way it's set up. Instead of following a single path, you pay for your time and can freely explore different obstacles and challenges at your own pace. There's even a small zip line mixed in, which was a fun surprise. The tubing was another highlight. There's something surprisingly exciting about launching down the hill on an inner tube and picking up serious speed, even in the springtime. Riding the magic carpet back to the top made it easy to squeeze in run after run without wearing myself out. Overall, it felt like a full day of active fun with enough variety to keep things interesting, and I left tired in the best possible way.

Parking was free, the line to purchase tickets was long because you have to sign a waiver first. There is no outside food or drinks allowed, but you can leave to go to your car. There were 6 tubing lanes open when we went. You pretty much grab a tube (two if you have a young child that needs help), go up an escalator like lift to the top, wait in a long line again, slide down, get rushed off so the next group can tube down, and walk back to the escalator lift to repeat the process. We went tubing down 4 times and the excitement was short lived and got boring for us adults fairly quick. Overall, if you're looking for something fun to do for the kids. This place was decent. The kids really enjoyed it, but after a while it got boring.
