The gokarting activity was great. However some of the employees were a little grumpy. The stewards who are supposed to be flagging and refereeing racers to allow others to pass when they are slowing others down did not do their job like other karting places. One of my friends spun out on a turn after another racer blocked him out and the employee walked over shaking his head, what did you expect! The front desk person that shows you the video really is only there to hit play on the video. We had 4 races back to back so the only time we saw was the last race. We are a family of 4 and spent a couple hours here today. We did all the activities, go kart racing, tubing and the ropes course. The tubing was SO fun and fast, highly recommend trying that!! We did the double go karts because we had our kids, they had fun with us on that. And then they have a big 3-story ropes course, it's so high! It also has a zip line which is freaky but fun. The staff was kind and helpful the whole time. Definitely recommend coming here for a day of fun. read more

We decided to visit this place on November 9, 2024. The website states that it is open until 5 pm, and we arrived at 3:40 pm. However, it turned out that the last entry is at 3:30 pm, which was not indicated on the website or inside the facility. The ticket booth was open and offered to sell us tickets, but the staff member at the activation desk unprofessionally refused us entry, explaining that we were late. The staff was also rude, which does not help create a good impression of the company. read more

I had a good experience with creating an account, getting my helmet, getting in the seat, but everything went downhill when we were cleared to begin driving. It is really disappointing with that many employees on deck that they cannot hold customers accountable when they are endangering others. My experience tonight was just that. I had a party of six adults and one toddler. We joined another group. Of that group, there was a young man who drove recklessly by constantly hitting into me and my family members. He went full speed on his turns, swiped all of us multiple times, and when confronted, his parents shared that he actually races in real life. Great, good for you, but this is not an actual racing ground. Sadly, the employees did not intervene and did not hold the culprit accountable either. Nothing was done. They did not speak to the perpetrator; they did not take this matter seriously; they did not admit their faults. I would not recommend this place to anyone, save your money, save your time, this is not a good place to come to make memories. Avoid going here for your safety. read more

This place is great! It is fun to have a place like this to take the kids and enjoy in Big Bear. The karts are fast and the course, being outside, is open and challenging for the kids. The staff was so helpful. Particularly David (tall with tattoos), he was patient with us and made sure all our questions were answered. This place is ridiculous with their rules and purchases. We had 2 kids for the tubes, both had issues carrying the tubes from the runway to the Moving walkway. One girl helped our 4 year old, but left the 6 year old on his own until the end. They wouldn't let the father up without a ticket just to help them carry the tubs. Must have closed toed shoes as well. For the go-carts, you must purchase a head sock, and then have socks if you use their shoes. Plus watch a movie before go carting. NOT FOR CHILDREN UNDER 14. Our 11 year old rode in a 2 person car when her dad. There was a large group of teens (you must be over 14 to have a single car) in single cars which went faster than the only double car on the track. I asked the operator, after the "race" finished, if the double rider cars go slower than the single seater and they confidently stated yes. The double car was hit SEVERAL TIMES at such a high rate of speed and there was nothing they could do to get away from it nor did the operator "raise one of the 6 flags identified in the pre video and also posted on signs around the race". Having a car go slower is unsafe for the people in the slower car. We would not have agreed to do this attraction had we known any of this. It was completely not enjoyable and we will not recommend this to anyone in a 2 person car. The teens looked like they were having a great time and that was awesome but I wanted to climb over the fence and stop them from hitting my husband and daughter more than once. read more

Big Bear Speedway was a good time! The family and I took a trip to big bear in the beginning stages of COVID (May) and Big Bear Speedway was open! They were taking all COVID precautions and Sanitizing equipment and cars. The cars go up to 30 mph, single seats and double seats for kiddos. The courses are pretty simple but you get plenty of time. They also have a high ropes course that looked pretty fun. It is outdoors so it is open! It's fun if you plan on a little vacation. read more

Staff had us watch the safety video upon arriving to ensure everyone would follow the rules, especially no contact whatsoever. Upon driving the first lap, I was immediately hit in the back. Driver made no attempt to brake on the turn and just slammed the rear of my kart. Staff never made an attempt to call the other driver out and I saw him slam into other karts as well. When confronted later, kids' parents try to say he races as well. Clearly if he's racing amateurly/professionally , he should stop racing because the point of racing isn't to crash into people on purpose. Kid's behavior is evident of poor parenting but on top of that, staff should be aware of reckless driving like stated in their safety video and rules. We went as a family with two randoms and those two randoms were the kid and dad. We had elderly and kids in the group as well. Our family went on the ropes course and the karts. The ropes course was fun, and the website has prices listed so we knew we were only going for twelve minutes for $12. We should have bought more time for my teens, but twelve minutes was enough for my 80 year old mom. It was her first time on a ropes course, and she liked it. We all went on the karts and that was a lot of fun too. Although most of the staff are young and still learning customer service skills, they were helpful and will hopefully learn and develop their customer service skills for the future. There was a more experienced and seasoned employee who was very helpful sharing information about other activities in the Big Bear area. The restrooms were clean. read more

Track is alright and the cars are pretty quick. Group before us had a flat tire on their kart and kept spinning out and slamming into the wall. Didn't appear as though the staff was willing to compensate despite the vehicle clearly not operating properly. Staff also appeared a bit disorganized and not ready to handle the wave of people that showed up. If you want to see your times; good luck. You won't receive the email with your results and they refresh the screen of results before you even have the chance to get out of the karts. Everything was super fun, especially the ropes coarse but ohhhhhh my goodness, everything takes forever and ever. If there are people ahead of you, you'll wait. You watch a video. You sign wavers. This all takes forever. You'll get tickets and wait in line (both took forever, the go karts and the ropes coarse). The go carts were super fun. A bit surprised at the negative reviews but maybe we got lucky as we didn't have to wait long to get started. They don't actually display the winner and times correctly, which may be unsatisfying if you are competitive. Hidden cost- you have to pay $5 for the disposable cap to wear under the helmet. We went on the jungle gym as well. There is a 15 minute limit but it was still worth trying for 12 bucks. The entire place is staffed by what looks like 15 year olds but that didn't hamper the experience. read more

DO NOT do the ropes course at this facility. NOWHERE does it say there is a time limit on their website, signage at the property, nor do they tell you. You pay $12 per person cash at the office, and then when they buckle you in they say "oh you have 12 minutes". 12 minutes is far insufficient to do even half of the course, especially when you have young ones you are helping through. Quite embarrassing time limit, particularly without any crowds, and employees complaining about their $15 per hour wages to customers.. Tried to lobby the workers for more time or a refund and we only got "I'm just an employee, those are the rules" total BS and lack of regard for customer feedback. No management or ownership on site. Their business model will put them out of business for sure. Save your money and go to the lake. read more

What a neat lil spot to break up the regular ol activities in big bear , stopped by on a Saturday with my 5 yr old son and had a blast ..pretty easy to navigate , first watch a lil video, second sign waiver , third get helmet , forth let er rip its time to rock n roll aka hit the track .. the cool thing is they have two seater carts so if your kid is too young to drive solo but still likes to have fun they can ride with you and believe me my son had a blast ... track is simple but fun and rides are 7 mins long i believe , they also print and email you your lap times and position which was cool .. fairly reasonable pricing and it looks like they are updating the location to make it bigger , oh btw they also have a rope obstacle course thing that looks rad for the bigger kids n adults so most definitely worth checking that out also ... thanks for the good time i will be back to try to beat my first lap time .. read more

Bumper cars. The intro video warns you will be warned & removed if you are bumping into other people, but that was not the case with us. Our Grandkids and got were bumped repeatedly by a driver having 'lots of fun'. She continued to have fun, and I left with a sore back. Be careful who's driving in your 'Race". Cars & helmets are nice and clean. Go Karts have more get up and go than the ones at Alpine Slide, on west side of Big Bear Lake. The staff is very friendly and professional. Hell Carts This may have been the absolute worst service I have ever received. Staff is rude and have no idea what they are doing. They sent a big family up to look at the rope course before they went on it. When the family came back the staff had already given their spot away because they took too long, when a time duration was never communicated. Manager was terribly rude and couldn't care less about their mistake. After waiting an hour in line because staff is sluggish, I was given a broken go cart. For two rounds. Saw that there were a couple of kart options in town during our stay. I picked this one as it has a little more serious kart than the Alpine Slide one. It was fun, but I'm spoiled by local facilities (have a couple of K1 locations near home). I wish that the kids had an opportunity to drive rather than just be passengers, but they enjoyed themselves anyway. We also did the ropes course which was a bigger hit with the kids. read more
