I texted him inquiring about cancelling and he responded "who is this?" So I assumed I had a wrong number. The membership was supposed to be up in April but I wasn't charged after March so I figured it had cancelled. I was charged in June so we contacted him as to why, he had us come in to the gym that day after we showed him screenshots of where we tried to contact him to satisfy his 30 day notice for cancellation requirement. He had us sign a form to cancel after telling us we would be refunded for June and that we wouldn't be charged anymore. I was charged again in July and when I contacted him he said because we signed after June 1st that we would be charged for July, after reminding him he told us to our faces we wouldn't be charged again he called me entitled and told me to file a complaint about it and then blocked my number. The most irresponsible slimy business owner I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Do not waste your time here

Rocky loses his temper over the slightest little thing (even rules that are not written or posted anywhere). He keeps a gun on him at all times, which I normally wouldn't mind but with a state of mind like his it always made me nervous. Without going into detail on the exact scenarios (because that would take FOREVER), the number of times that he freaked out on us and other paying customers and screamed in peoples face or got otherwise upset over rules that were never spoken or written anywhere or over things that weren't even rules to begin with is too much to count. If the Rocky's mania and temper problems aren't enough to dissuade you, a lot of the equipment here is shit. Rocky will say he doesn't buy matching plates because he's not a sissy gym and he's for "real powerlifters", but the reality is that he's just too cheap to buy good equipment. I've been to three other powerlifting gyms in ABQ, all of which you can find plates that actually go together. The place is dangerously hot in the summer, and Rocky will tell you it's so you "don't get injured" from cold muscles, but again he's just being cheap. Don't waste your time or money here.

Anyway, I went in this afternoon to make a purchase.And the employee was kind enough to allow me to have a purchase discount in the same amount of the expired gift card. This store is always clean and has so much merchandise. In the very back of the store , there is a clearance rack , so be sure to check that out. All of the employees that I have had contact with have been professional and very friendly and accommodating. We will be back here for sure.

Yelp reviews confirm it And i lived it this morning Required a training dog collar, items like that require a trip to Cabelas in my book Now expensive items like my collar are locked up. Ok. Makes it hard to spin the box to read up on the items but ok. Found the one i wanted Went up to customer service desk and asked for help in dog collars since they are locked up Went back to the collars and waited. And waited Went back to customer service again and asked for help to unlock the dog collars Went back to collars and waited and waited Almost ready to give up. Shelf stocker walked by in green cabelas shirt and i asked him to unlock the dog collars. He did what i asked begrudgingly then asked if i had completed my shopping so he could take the collar to the cash register Oh boy. You bet i'm done shopping! went to them due to the reviews and that they work on old revolvers. brought a 1948 K22 22 lr…read morerevolver that was out of time in 2 chambers and told them about the problem. told them it's a k22, charlie starts rapidly dry firing the gun 3 times before I can say "please stop doing that it's a rimfire". states the gun is in time. i show him the out of time 2 chambers and he says you are pulling the trigger too slow(which i was in order to check timing). he says there's nothing to fix. the problem is now there's peening on the cylinder from the firing pin strike and my firing pin is flattened from being dry fired without snap caps. this gun was in good condition for a 1948 gun and handled roughly with some damage after "inspection".

It's worth signing up for their emails because you can stay ahead of the specials that way - however this can be injurious to your wallet. I just visited to select, buy and pick up a new heater and I want to make a point to thank both Lance and Ray at the gun counter - they were friendly in addition to being professional and their spirit made these visits nice. Sportsman's Warehouse doesn't get five stars only because they are so brutally understaffed at the gun counter - it simply takes a long time to get anything done because there aren't enough staff there to handle the amount of business they have going on. I'm sort of surprised that management doesn't address this, as I see people getting tired of waiting and walking out of the store every single time that I visit. Management, you're leaving money in their wallets: they came to spend it, and you don't have enough staff to take it - get with the program!
