First time here and will definitely be coming back. Nice, homely, campground. If you're looking for…read morea quiet place to stay and relax for the family, this is it. Small little beach, playground, fishing area, and I was able to let my little ones run around carefree.

Hidden Gem With a Split Personality -- Know What You're Booking…read more Native Falls (formerly Indian Oaks) sits right between Marietta and Temecula wine country, and it's one of those places that can either be exactly what you want... or completely miss the mark depending on expectations. First impression, this place is visually dialed in. The lake, waterfall, oak trees, and overall layout give it a boutique campground feel you don't usually get this close to Temecula. It feels more like a curated outdoor resort than a rough-it campsite. You're minutes from wineries, but once you're inside, it actually feels tucked away. Where it really shines is family-friendly activity level. This is not sit-in-silence camping. You've got swimming, paddleboards, fishing, pickleball, and a beach-style setup that keeps kids busy all day. If you're bringing family, especially younger kids, this place delivers. The staff consistently gets high marks, and that shows up in real-world experience. People mention they're helpful, friendly, and actually engaged, which is rarer than it should be. The Reality Check: "This is where expectations matter." * Not a quiet nature escape This is more "social campground" than "off-grid retreat." Expect kids, music, movement. If you want silence, this isn't it. * Tent sites can be hit or miss Some are close to the road, so you'll get dust and traffic noise. That breaks the illusion pretty quickly. * Still evolving The place is clearly being upgraded. Some areas feel polished, others still feel mid-renovation. Bathrooms and infrastructure can be inconsistent depending on timing. * More "fun zone" than wilderness Think lake day with camping attached, not deep nature immersion. What It Really Is: This is a hybrid between a campground and a low-key outdoor resort. Great for: Families, casual campers, wine country weekends, group trips Not ideal for: Hardcore campers, solitude seekers, or anyone expecting national park-level quiet Bottom Line: If you go in expecting a polished, activity-driven campground with a great setting, you'll probably love it. If you're chasing peace, silence, and raw nature, you'll leave wondering what the hype was about.

My second time to this campground with my ladies adventure group. Last year was in May, super hot!…read moreAt one time it reached 100. Not so bad this time high 80's low 90's. I could've tolerated staying at the campground but I decided to leave and drive into town for a cold sweet drink. Important info: Weak or no signal once you enter Warren Road. I have Verizon. I was told at the Check in booth there is signal, but it is weak. I got some signal driving to the campground, very spotty. So if you need to let someone know you have arrived to the campground, find a safe way to let them know before entering Warren Road. It's a beautiful drive once you turn onto Warren Road. View of the meadow with the hills in the background. Watch for the speed bumps and wild life crossing. I didn't see any wildlife crossing the road, but there are signs. There is a primitive camping section and rv/trailer sites with hookups. The group campground is located in a different area just before the Camp Store. The Camp Store has two sizes of ice for purchase. Firewood and ice cream the most important (lol). They have Lake Skinner memorabilia. I purchased stickers. They have lots of drinks to offer and even bottle of wine and port. This campground is in wine country so you might want to do some wine tasting instead. If you happen to forget some camping supplies they have a variety of things available and even for fishing since you can fish, boat, and kayak at the lake. From what I understand you can rent kayaks too. The group campground only have porta potty rooms. No showers. These are partial hook up sites with electric and water. One side to this group location has a good view of the lake. Trees are sparse at this group site. Bring shade and weights or tie downs for your shade. There is occasionally wind gusts. Sometimes they last awhile. There is a community pergola with metal picnic tables. The pergola is slats shading so not full coverage. Next to this area is one cement fire ring. Electric is available at this pergola but I heard it can be overloaded if too many things are plugged in. I drove through the campground. It's very pretty, very green, plenty of trees and right now looks like plenty of parking because it's not summer yet. The Camp Store mentioned that the adjoining restaurant will probably not be in service until next year (2027). They need to ad AC and some equipment in the kitchen. The water park feature is not open for use at the moment. Showers are located between A and B primitive campgrounds. The women's have two showers available. No coins needed . The showers and sinks are powered by using the pump step (wash station) or pump push buttons (in the shower area) I think it's a very nice campground. I would like to go when it's a little tad cooler. The plus, is you will find some time to relax and enjoy the birds singing throughout the park.

(ice was $11 ) Lake was a bit far for walking distance to fish same with the splash pad but only about 3-5 min drive up the road. Everything was clean and rangers drove around often so it felt safe. Showers were clean and bathrooms stayed stocked. Had a great time and would come again.

As mentioned in the other reviews Jim and Dawn are so kind. They made it a point to introduce themselves and chatted whenever we passed on the grounds. The property is large, I believe 30 acres. Although I'm unsure how many campsite there are, and more could be added in the future. Jim say's its an ongoing project and he has a lot of fun plans for the property. We had site #2 a group spot. It worked well for us 3 ladies and their teardrop trailers, we didn't need to unhitch. Nearby is a building with a compost toilet and shower. I believe the building is used for storing tools too. It's convenient if you don't want to make a little longer trek to the flushing toilet at the box car site. Our site has a sail for shade on one side. On the other side is the fire pit and picnic table. The picnic table is not anchored down so you can move it around if needed. Our first night at camp called for rain so we had our ez-up's for extra shelter. Our site has a great view of a mountainside. The site also has boulders, great for climbing but also great for snakes to hide during the summer. Jim and Dawn were working on their home that is visible from our site. It's also across from the building I mentioned. So the next time we camp here that should be done. The road in front of our campsite loops around to the other side (entrance). It's a nice, short walk to take, especially in the morning during sunrise and if there weren't any rain clouds I'm sure the sunset would be gorgeous on this walk too. We took another trail that led to two other campsites and another adobe house in the making. Jim mentioned that is on the back burner for right now. On this trail I was told by my girlfriends that the outhouse was a new addition since their visit in 2019. It has a compost toilet and outdoor shower, very fun. I wouldn't mind trying out the shower on a warmer weather visit. Once in awhile you will find the goats tethered to different areas of the land to maintain the grounds. They are tethered because they have found the bark on the trees to be delicious which is not in the trees favor. You will also find chickens roaming the entrance area. At the entrance this is where you will find the box car that was converted to a communal bathroom and kitchen area. This is also where you will find the feral kittens to be homed when not roaming the property. The kittens are adorable and visited our site often. At the communal box car you will find a flushing toilet , shower and sink in the restroom. It is very spacious. On the opposite side is the area with a kitchen sink. Outside the box car there is a large table with chairs. Not too far from that is an area that is shaded with sails and the post are supported by cable spools which could be used as tables. They have a fenced in garden which I have heard the visitors wanting to help out in the garden. Along the fenced in garden are recycling bins for paper, glass, aluminum, plastics. I saw by the tool storage/bathroom they had a bin for food compost. Jim and Dawn are on a mission to use recycles that are readily available and anything that is good for Mother Earth. I look forward to our next visit and see what they have added to Down to Earth Echoshire.

First of all, we stayed in the larger home out of the two you can reserve. The larger home can house 86 while the smaller can house 24. Yes, the facility is old but it's not "run down". The quality of it reminded me of the condos I rent in Mammoth that were build in the 80's - old but very clean (If you're looking for a new, hotel quality level place, then this is not the place for you. But if you're looking for an affordable, clean, warm and welcoming spot for your youth group or young adult group, then I'd definitely recommend this location). Floors were vacuumed and shelves and hard to reach places were dust free. The bathrooms were clean and the pool looked good too! We didn't use it because of the weather - highs in 60's and lows in 40s. What I'm basically saying is that the place was neat and clean. Also, the young couple that managed the grounds were extremely helpful and hospitable and the food was good (they cater in the food - by the way, the lasagna was excellent!). No bed bug problem at all. I'm sad to read about the "huge bed bug problem" the other person reported. Reporting a bed bug problem will deter many people. Anyway, not only was the facility clean but the grounds were clean too. They have a small man made lake and our students used the available canoes and life jackets to "canoe race" around the lake. Yes, the soccer field did have gopher holes but it wasn't a problem. We just used the field for organized rec and not for soccer. We're more of a basketball church and the bball court was great. Even had lights for playing at night! Overall, we had a great time being out in the desert climate of Hemet and would definitely return to Paradise Valley Ranch in the future. Thank you S and K for being excellent hosts!
