I'm writing this review as a property owner. The reason I need to clarify is I saw so many negative reviews from renters. I'm not one of them. Hilda has been my agent taking care my rental property for 10+years. She helped me taking care all issues renters encountered. From small appliance repair to major A/C and roof repairs. Most of my renters are responsible. They did their job when they move out. And they got their deposit back. At least that's my understanding according to my monthly reports. So I think the renters who posted a bad review just think they didn't get their money back must have missed something. I wonder if they really did what they should do when they move out? To resume the house to its original state when they move in. Yes, you can have your point of view as a renter. But for me - an owner. I would like to see my property gets well taken care of. For that point, I'd say Hilda did great job for 10+ years managing my property. That's what property management should do, right? So in 2021, when I decided to sell my property. I asked Hilda to represent me as selling agent. I truly feel she deserves that 3% commission. She helped me get a good price. Much better than I anticipated. I also want to give her book keeper-Rhonda a shout out. She sent me monthly and annual reports that list all expenses and cash flows which is great help on my annual tax return. After my property is sold. I have no other properties in Tucson. But I highly recommend Hilda to anyone who needs a reliable property management agent. read more

I would strongly suggest that no landlord or renter works with this company. We are currently renting a home that they manage. For six months we have been trying to get them to fix the dishwasher, mold in the bathroom, stained carpet and a broken lock to the garage. My husband, who is completely capable has offered to fix all of these problems but they won't allow it. Instead they send one incompetent service man who doesn't fix anything, says he will be back and then never comes. The dishwasher broke again for the third time this weekend after they had supposedly fixed it. They take the owner's money, our money and are letting this nice house fall apart. We have contacted our legal counsel. Save yourself some time, headache and legal fees and stay away from this organization. read more

I was just about to rent with this company but thankfully I read the reviews first! A lot of the red flags that I noticed from the walk through with Sandy were featured in the other reviews on here, and in Google Reviews. House was not cleaned but when I asked when I would be able to move in; "Tomorrow! And YOU can clean the house to YOUR liking! Overgrown weeds in the front and in the back, not clean on the inside, I even saw evidence of termites near the front door, yet I can move in tomorrow. Thank God for Yelp. I only had a very brief interaction with Hilda Egan at Bidegain Realty to ask about the status of a house. However, in the span of 1 minute, she was incredibly rude and snippy, letting me know the house was "probably gone" and made it clear she wanted to be off the phone. When I asked if she could put me on a wait list (as the receptionist *recommended* before transferring me to Hilda), she said in a very snotty voice "you can give me a call next week and I'll let you know then." Incredibly unprofessional. Just from this experience alone I would NOT use Hilda or her company, because obviously they don't care about building a relationship with a potential renter... even if we were too late to rent the one we wanted. I have to say that when we lived in one of their houses, we really liked it. We had a leasing agent that whenever you texted, called, or emailed, she was always laxed and responded to you whenever she felt like it. Even when we had the carbon monoxide go off in the house the one night. It took a couple days to send someone out. When i went up to upper management to complain, you didn't like that. Sometimes very unprofessional in my book. We asked her to do us a favor and send paperwork to a new rental agent so we can get a house and the whole day, she never sent it. We asked her about it and she blamed her receptionist instead of taking ownership. I will not use this agent again. read more

If I could give 10 stars I would! Sandy T. has been so amazing to work with! I've been renting from her for the past year and never thought I could own my own home and she made it possible! Every time I called, Sandy took care of my needs. Sandy even took the time to come out on several occasions and help me with things around the house- what property manager does that?? Sandy consistently goes above and beyond. I am shocked reading the negative reviews but understand renters can be extremely high maintenance.The staff at Bidegain is helpful and I have recommended and will continue to refer them out to all of my friends as I know they will be taken care of. Tried getting my property rented through them. They took 2 Weeks to just go look at my property and told me I still needed some renovations after I left Arizona already. This is the worst company ever to rent from !!! our house was broken into over a year ago and they promised to install an alarm and sensor lights outside- they never did nor fix the screen on the window they came through, getting a hold of Sandy Lane is a miracle!! She either never calls you back or gets back to you a week later! We have had so many problems with our house and things never get fixed. We just moved out and she was supposed to meet my fiance for the walk around at 8am he took off work for; and she never showed up nor answered her phone, the office also couldn't get a hold of her. Finally she calls back and says she didn't set the appt at 8 that it was at 10:30 am and she clearly did because she asked if 8am s would work for him; he said that was fine.. So sitting at the house for three hours nothing got accomplished!! She still never showed up!! Worst service ever !!!! read more

I'm writing this because I recently moved out of a Bidegain Realty property, and I really feel like people need to hear about my experience if they're considering renting from this company. When we moved in, there appeared to be a few things wrong with the property but Bidegain Realty ensured us that those things would be fixed, and not to worry about it. These things included: -The pool was empty (and actually had about 2 feet of black, stagnant water full of maggots at the bottom). The property was advertised as having a complete, working pool. Bidegain Realty informed us that they weren't sure if they'd be filling the pool or just filling it in. Only because we told them we'd have to break our lease if they didn't fix it did they actually keep their word and do so. This was red flag number one. -There was a window AC unit in the den (again, this was advertised in the listing we found as working fine). It didn't work at all, and it took several phone calls to get Bidegain Realty to replace it. -Pictures on the listing showed the main bathroom as having a sliding glass door in the shower. This wasn't a necessary feature but it was a nice touch. It of course didn't work at all and had to be removed, which Bidegain Realty replaced with the cheapest shower curtain and rod available from the Home Depot down the street. -The garage door opener didn't work and had to be manually opened. This was never fixed. -The motor for the front gate didn't work, causing it to have to be manually opened and chained shut with a padlock (we had to replace this one ourselves since they wouldn't do it). -Virtually all of the outlets in the house didn't have outlet covers. They assured us this would be fixed, but of course it never was. -Close to the move out date, we discovered that he swamp cooler (which had broken twice already), was now leaking and beginning to sag into the roof. It actually looked like it might cause a hole in the roof on the final day we were there. Dale Bidegain said he'd "take care of it", but I find that highly suspect based on his other broken promises. There were many more issues which we discovered throughout the year that we lived there, but the truly dishonest part came when our lease was up. Both my roommate and I called Bidegain Realty shortly before our lease was up to ask the exact move-out date and express our overall displeasure with their service. The date was of course provided to us. We cleaned the house thoroughly (it was cleaner than when we moved in - we even steam-cleaned the carpets) and moved out. Dale Bidegain then informed us that he wouldn't be returning our deposit (1.5x the rent) because we "didn't give notice" that we'd be moving out. Both my roommate and I reminded him of the phone calls we'd made, but Dale Bidegain informed us that since we didn't "supply the notice in writing", he wasn't obligated to return our deposit. Now, I get that we should have submitted it in writing. That's a mistake I won't make again. But at the same time, virtually every interaction with Dale Bidegain and Bidegain Realty resulted in some sort of backhanded, shady and dishonest tactics which felt designed to take advantage of us as renters. Using a technicality to keep our entire deposit comes off as extremely dishonest and only short of theft due to the thinnest margin of the law available. We could probably sue Dale Bidegain or Bidegain Realty and get our deposit back (they actually did a few things over the course of the year we lived there which would have given us reason to break the lease immediately), but the time and effort that would take are simply not worth it, and Dale Bidegain knows that. It's likely he uses these same technicalities to take advantage of many of his renters. Overall, I'd rate Bidegain Realty a solid 0 / 10, and would highly advise anyone who is considering renting from this company to look elsewhere. It's simply not worth the constant headaches you will deal with, since they are the very definition of slumlords. It's unfortunate that businesses as shady as Bidegain Realty and owners such as Dale Bidegain are allowed to continue doing business in Tucson. Hopefully this complaint will make other potential victims steer clear from this liar. read more

Unbelievable property management company, The worst !!! My wife and I rented a home on the N/W side of town. Upon moving in the ceiling in the garage was falling down from a previous leak and the north wall had a huge hole in it from where someone ran into it with a car. I had the ceiling fixed and the hole patched and also painted the garage interior on my own dime so I wouldn't need to look at it when I drove into the garage every day. After we moved out she said that the owner of the house didn't like the color we painted the garage and kept $500 bucks from our deposit to repaint it. We also noticed after the first couple of weeks that the rabbits would come up from the wash and chew off the irrigation heads on the water hoses for the drip system we called and let Sandy L know about this. She sent the landscape guy out to fix half of the heads that were chewed off. When it happened again she told us she was not going to spend $75 bucks every time the rabbits chewed off the irrigation heads. No problem. So we turned the irrigation off. Problem solved ! If you plan on renting any property from these clowns you better prepare yourself for not getting any of your deposit back, no matter how clean it is when you move out. These Bozo's wont fix anything with the rentals they manage and they will find any reason, valid or not... to keep as much of your deposit and then some. Real Jerks !!! Terrible service - Do not rent From Bidegain Realty or Sandy. When we moved into the house the garage was not finished or painted. We took the time to paint the garage. The home owner new but never said a word. We asked to have the irrigation repaired because it leaked - she said they aren't going to pay to have an irrigation company out so we would need to fix it ourselves. The carpets were filthy and stained - When we moved out we still had two weeks left on the lease - they were already showing the house to rent. When my husband went to pick up our deposit they charged us $500.00 to paint the garage because the homeowner didn't like the color. They never gave us an opportunity to rectify the situation - just went out found a high estimate and deducted it from the deposit. So if you expect to get a refund when you move out forget it - they will find something wrong no matter how much time and effort you spend on cleaning the house to return it in better condition than when you moved in. Where do I really even start with this company? I've been renting from Bidegain Realty for over 2 years now (unfortunately) and since day 1 has been a horrible experience. Our property manager was Sandra Lane. This is our first time ever renting a home so we had no idea what we were doing and how to look but I'm disappointed that this was our first time experience. From day one no one wanted to show us the property. They had us go ourselves and go to a lockbox and look into the house and when we first walked in, the house was in such a bad condition that we should have just walked out. To start the place has not been cleaned in some time...You can smell the dirt and odor just walking into the house. The carpet was installed so poorly that it literally didn't even get to the floor boards and there was large spacing from the wall to the carpet plus leaving little nails and staples up right ready to poke you. The floor boards were in poor condition as well, many of them falling apart and mismatching blinds, terrible carpet installation again as you can see them doing lot of patch work and it just did not look flush at all. The back yard was a disaster as well with dirt and large rocks all over the place. Plants and bushes that hadn't been trimmed or cut in who knows how long. Bugs every where inside the home as well. Unfortunately we were desperate to move asap since we needed a home for our family so we took the deal. Sandra never once came did a walk through with us and emailed me a form to send back to say what was wrong with the property. Second our water heater was broken within the 1st week we moved in and of course she was impossible to get a hold of and I had to call the office and even they were terrible service. It took another 2 days to get it finally fixed and repaired and keep in mind I have 2 kids that had no hot water at all. We had to clean the whole house from head to toe because it was so bad it was causing allergies to kick in because it had not been cleaned in who knows how long. I felt bad for the owners to a point where I wish I had their contact information so I can inform them on how the house was being treated from the management company. We also had a sign of termites in the house as well and it took them 2 months to get back to us to get the treatment taken care of as well. Its just one thing after another with this company. We had our AC unit go down in the middle of the summer and I had to fight tooth and nail to demand someone to get to our house because it took over 1 day to get someone to answer to help us out. Another issue we had is with our water drip system in the front yard we were on vacation in California and came home to water spewing out of the pipe where the drip system is. I called Bidegain and let them know this and it took them 2 days to get someone out to fix it. It came to a point where Dale Bidegain himself came and just did a temporary fix to stop the water from spewing out. I did also advise to him that our water bill is going to sky rocket now and that I need to be reimbursed for this issue. He said it would be taken care of. It never was taken care of. I still never heard or got an update regarding a reimbursement. My water bill went up $60 than what it normally is. We also tried moving and going with a new agency and when they did our application fee they almost denied us in moving because they had to call Sandra Lane to see how we were as renters. She stated we always paid rent on time and had no issues with that but bad mouthed us as not the best tenants. She stated that she did a walk through and the house was not what it should have been and not once has Sandra Lane come into the house and inspect it at all what so ever. She has planned to do a walk through from time to time and when we do schedule or even try to schedule a time she never answers the calls. Sandra Lane almost ruined our chance of moving out of the terrible house and terrible company she represents. I can seriously keep going and going about my experience with Bidegain but I think you may all get the point. Never do business with this company. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Worst experience ever! The rental we moved into was absolutely disgusting. I couldn't even let my kids walk barefoot around the house. The previous tenet left their "toys" in the closet. If a house is cleaned before you move in wouldn't you think they would find that "stuff"? There were food crumbs left all over the kitchen, bird poop on the bathroom. Seriously gross. We filled out our move in report and listed everything and took pictures. That didn't matter at all. They still charged us for cleaning and painting. We left the house 10 times cleaner, always paid rent. We were excellent renters but they totally screwed us out of $950. They also didn't allow us to do a walk thru and they never gave us receipts to show what they used our deposit for. I feel like they just made stuff up and took our money. read more

Beware of this company. I rented from them for a year and it was a horrible experience. The house was "managed" by a property manager from Bidegain Realty. I should have seen the writing on the wall from the start. I was given a move-in date and scheduled the moving company. I had a hard time getting the property manager to call me back from the start, but I attributed it to the fact that she was busy due to her daughter's wedding. Move-in day came and the house wasn't even cleaned. It was filthy. Everything in the house was cheap and any time I had an issue, I dreaded trying to get it fixed. The property manager may eventually return your calls, but you can expect it to take several days, sometimes longer. When she did call back, she got an attitude with me about the problems. I was an excellent tenant and shouldn't have had to deal with her disrespect. She all but called me a liar once when I had record to prove otherwise. Another time she exclaimed, "well can't your boyfriend fix it?" In another instance, she told me that I have to give her at least 48 hours to respond to an EMERGENCY plumbing issue where all the plumbing backed up in the house. I ended up calling a plumber out on my own. He showed me something that was broken in the piping outside and told me it needed to be fixed. He created a temporary solution so I could at least use the plumbing. The cost was $80 and the property manager took issue with the fact that I called a plumber on my own and was reluctant to reimburse me. Mind you, I tried calling her handyman 7 hours before calling another plumber. In another instance, I was notified that I needed to take care of some weeds (mine were far fewer than most houses around me). I apologized and stated that I would take care of them that very weekend, as I was working during all hours of daylight. That wasn't good enough. I was told the HOA was threatening fines. This was the first notice I had gotten. Meanwhile, she had received several notices, but didn't afford me the courtesy of forwarding the "friendly reminders" she had received. When I politely asked to be given a friendly heads up before being threatened with fines, I was told my lease is notice enough. I can't believe someone in a customer service based industry can have such poor customer service skills. These are only a few of the problems I had while living in the property. I started taking videos of issues around the house so I would have proof. I would highly advise a person to reconsider renting from this company. read more

The condo complex I lived in is managed by Bidegain, and today I called them about someone took my covered parking spot (I'm sure everyone understand how important it is in Tucson in the summer) The agents I spoke to are unbelievably rude and hung up on me twice! Rented a home with them took a week to get a response when our A/C broke, We live in the desert A/C is important. The condition of the home when we moved in was HORRIBLE, we were told it would be cleaned and painted prior to our move in. I painted the entire inside of the house and scrubbed every inch. If I was the owner I would have flipped out on the condition of the house. The office personnel are very rude and unprofessional. The home went into foreclosure, and we were told we could break the lease without penalty because of this (in writing). Now that we have found a property that is not with them, we are being told that we can't move out early. They have no business in the property management field. I am not sure what recourse is available for the unethical practices, but intend to discover at the next NARPM meeting. My best advice is to steer clear! read more

It is almost unfortunate that they have the rating they do. And surely enough it is an individual who worked with Dale. My partner and I had multiple conversations with Dale due to our property manager's (Sandy Lane) incompetence to perform simple tasks. Accomplishing anything with her was like pulling teeth and not to mention she was always on vacation or out of the office. It took over a month to get our deposit back and we checked the postings and it was up no more than a week after we vacated. It is displeasing that he does not get rid of the liability, because from what I have witnessed all of the issues and poor reviews stem from interactions with this certain individual. read more

I have been very patient with the move in repairs (which were a lot considering we were told it had been recently updated) but it has been 2 months now and we are only just hearing from repair people who only gave 20min notice, I am often sick and I cannot be available at the drop of a dime unfortunately. After not hearing back from anyone for over a month, we don't even have screens in the upstairs still (2 months to tighten a leak and turn on a dishwasher?- i appreciate they replaced the skylight but I don't even know for sure if it was cracked-it looked cracked, but to just have them replaced for $225 without even having a repair man look at it first?). It seems to me that the repairman is either too busy or something, he is very nice so I feel bad, but when he came back to look at the back screen (which does not really work well and was broken the day after he put it in initially) he just said he would "take care of it" then physically placed the peeled off stripping back in place and said nothing. Today the stripping is coming off again. He came today for the third time to put in our screens (which had to be redone 3 times because of the wrong sizing) and did not even put them in, he said it was hot (which is true but then why bother coming??) All he did was drop off the screens. I really hope they are not paying him each time he comes out, but if this is how he generally operates it's no wonder he is so busy and gets little done, or maybe that is why so little gets done because he isnt getting paid enough..either way whatever they have set up is not working very well. We know that as landlord (and we have been landlords and are from families who have been landlords, and we have lived in many apts in many places when my husband was in the military) it can be difficult financially but property maintenance is important and it looks like I am not the first BY FAR to notice the problems with landlord responsibilities at this complex. I am not saying that having a private repairman is a bad thing, in fact I wish we had that when we owned a home because we had to learn to do the repairs ourselves much of the time, but we (and pretty much every other apt we have lived in) always fixed it right away or called someone who we know can fix it to do it. Had a terrible experience with them. When I first moved in the house was in pretty bad shape. Talking to the neighbors, it hadn't been lived in for several months, and it looked like it. I had to spend a couple days cleaning right off the bat. The carpet was heavily stained, the walls were poorly painted. You could see all sorts of spots where they had tried to touch up the paint, but used a similar paint color instead of the same color and it looked awful. The yard had all sorts of weeds and was just dirt. When I moved in, I was told that the house would be repainted, a landscaper would come out to clean up the yard, and a huge hole in one of the bedrooms would be repaired. After a few weeks a landscaper showed up, but not until I'd already been aquainted with the local hoa. The paint was never done and the hole never fixed. After a month the refrigerator stopped getting cold. I called a couple of times and left voicemails about this, but never heard back from them so finally bought the $170 fan myself and replaced it. I called them about the dishwasher being very loud and leaky, no response. Called about the paint and the hole, no response. The only time I heard from the the entire year I lived there was when I was wrongfully accused of not paying rent for three months. It was their mistake clerically, but they were very rude and threatened legal action as I told them I had paid but didn't have the receipts to prove it (a mistake I won't make again). When they finally realized it was their mistake, I didn't get an apology, rather more of a warning, and I hadn't even done anything wrong! When I moved out they charged me for everything! Admittedly my dogs had destroyed the carpet, but it wasn't exactly a new carpet to begin with, not even close. But I could only get them to go 75/25 on the $2000 carpet they installed (roughly 10'x20', seems a bit much). They charged me to paint the whole house because they claimed my dogs had roughed up a few of the molding pieces. I spent three days cleaning the house before I left, but since it's such a drafty place, I constantly had dust issues, so by the time they came out to look at it (nearly a month later), everything was dusty and they charged me for cleaning. Charged for landscaping for weeds. Tucson has a monsoon season! I moved out during it and they didn't come to the house for a month! Of course there were weeds! All in all I will never rent through them again, nor suggest anyone else does either. Was the worst renting experience I've ever had. And looking at the other reviews on here, it seems my experience was commonplace. Look anywhere else! Just not these clowns. read more

WISH there was an option for ZERO stars. Our first experience with this company we were attempting to inquire on renting a house they had on their site that we call the "crayola house". The inside was ridiculous paint jobs throughout. Regardless we decided we would do it. NEVER got back to us, then finally spoke to them and found it had been rented and Dale was very rude. Then we inadvertently tried to rent another house with them. We were told by their agent Summer that credit was not a concern, only rental history. We explained our landlord was tough to contact as he is military stationed across the country but we would get them in contact. We submitted our app, paid our fee and were turned down stating they could not contact our landlord. Come to find out their 3rd party verification company did speak to the landlord and everything was great. They sent the completed record to Bideagain the day after Summer told us we were denied. I asked for the app fee back since they didnt process the application BEFORE denying us for not being able to contact the landlord which was a LIE and Dale refused. Then he said he would discuss with Summer. I wont hold my breath. After reading the other reviews I wish Id read them before we wasted our time and money! read more

I would not recommend anyone to do any type of business with this company, they are a total fraud. I tried renting a property through them and after signing the rental agreement and giving them a deposit, not only did they make me wait for two weeks giving me the run around but the agent rented it to someone else not meeting their end of the agreement. The agent was very rude and never rented me the house for no reason. The agreement specified I wasn't to back out of the agreement and that I was to get the keys in less than a week from the date signed. Obviously none of that happened. When we contacted this company about touring one of their properties they didn't bother to show it. They just gave us the code to get in the front door. The inside of the house was trashed and when we tried to make a deal to lower the rent in return for us helping fix a bunch of these problems they didn't even get back to us. We are now working with a much more responsive property management company who cares about the condition of their properties. I would never recommend this company to my worst enemy. read more
