Most shops are sold out due to higher demand. Found some accessories here I couldn't find anywhere else.

Very helpful shop, great bike mechanic. I've purchased 4 bikes here and always bring repairs here if I can't do them myself.

We had a very upsetting experience at Wheel Fun Rentals in Solvang…read more We are Sikhs and my son wears a patka, a scarf over his hair. The employee referred to his as a "hat" and told me he could not wear it under a helmet because it was "state law." I explained that it is not an and that I will make sure the helmet fit properly and was fully buckled. Instead of listening, the employee kept repeating "it's a state law." When I asked him to show me where the law says a child cannot wear a religious head covering under a helmet, he said, "we don't need to show you anything," and "we are not going to rent you a bike. A 12 years should not have to stand there witness someone treated an important part of who he is as if it was a problem. We were not asking for special treatment. We were asking to be treated with the same respect as everyone else. Using "state law" as an excuse to deny service because my son wore something he didn't understand is racist, discriminatory, and unacceptable.

There were 8 of us... 4 adults and 4 young kids. My brother's kids and my kids feet couldn't reach the pedals LOL. Guess who did most of the pedalling... my brother and I LOL. It was not easy especially when we had some slight uphill. It was very fun and neat to ride through town and residential area though. I think we had 30 mins of ride time if I recall. That was plenty of time if you ask me LOL. If you have never experienced it, give it a try. Just remember to have two or three people who will actually pedal the ride. Otherwise, it will be difficult to ride through the streets and get back. Nevertheless, enjoy the ride and have fun!!!

Might as well call them Santa Claus, because they literally made Christmas happen for us…read more Tragically while driving 400+ miles to spend the holiday with family in torrential downpour, the wheels of our son's new SE bike fell off the roof rack along the 101. Seeing as it's Christmas Eve, we were beyond devastated and also panicked as finding a replacement wouldn't be easy in such a time crunch. Still en route to our final destination, with the recipient in the car with us...they quite literally bent over backwards to not only give us an incredible deal on the bike we had 1/2 of on top of our car...they helped camouflage the item so our kids wouldn't suspect what was on top of Santa's sleigh...aka our car. The bike was obviously assembled, they then dis-assembled it, wrapped it in several bags and sandwiched it between cardboard to ensure the surprise wouldn't be revealed until Christmas morning. They were so understanding, gracious and talk about paying it forward and having the Christmas spirit. We will always return for our bike needs. I mean, and let's be honest. Saved my husband as he was receiving death glares from me for the previous 80 miles as I promptly told him he ruined Christmas. There are plenty of good bike shops with great bikes, but very few are filled with such incredible people inside. Go visit them, you won't be sorry. Thank you Main Street Cycles!!!!!!!

Our guide, Tony, helped us plan a route to fit our schedule and abilities. He was a great guide; friendly, flexible, knowledgeable, and focused on making sure we had a nice time. We didn't have to worry about thing. We wound up doing Happy Canyon and then lunch and wine tasting at Lincourt. Great price point for all that is included (tour, nice bike and helmet rentals, water bottle to keep, lunch, wine...). Thanks again to the whole team for a memorable day! PS Please note the building used to be in Santa Ynez, but they relocated to Solvang. It's also a bike store, so you can store up on gear or snacks before or after your ride if you'd like.

The website was easy to use and Doug, the tour manager, immediately sent back a confirmation. On the day of our tour, Doug met us in the morning at Dr. J's bike shop. He helped us with bikes and helmets. They provided each of us with a blue water bottle. The whole process took about 30 minutes (more because we were slow not them). Chris gave us some final instructions, took our pictures and then we were off. We rode up to Neverland, did Olive oil tasting and visited a lavender farm. Olive oil tasting was fun and was a way to replenish after biking in the morning. The lavender farm we could have done without. I wish there was a guided tour of the place. Other than that, the lavender farm felt like an overpriced store. Then we went to a winery where a beautiful lunch was set up complete with local fruits a day dessert from a local bakery. There was music and wine and a beautiful view of the winery. If you're looking for a great experience this is it. Our guide Chris was great! He kept an close eye on us and was very encouraging when we have trouble going up the small hill. He was knowledgeable and didn't rush us. He made sure we had a great experience and we did! We'll definitely be back!
