We had great service and later bought a bike for our son here. I appreciated that they called to make sure we approved of what they were repairing and replacing on the bike we brought in for servicing. They also kept the parts they replaced to show me why those parts were replaced. What really made us happy though was after we bought our son a new bike, the tech made sure his seat was level and that his new helmet actually fit him properly. We would have left with the seat not leveled and the helmet that was too small had the bike tech not done that and we appreciated those very important adjustments. I finally decided to buy a road bike. Sure - it's extremely difficult given the global supply chain issues...but I knew all this going in - and would be patient in expectations. I intentionally went in on a Tuesday early evening - I'm new and not very knowledgeable about road bikes. Three employees - I was the only one in the shop. One employee asked if I needed any help. "Yeah - I think so - I'm interesting in buying a road block." (I was excited to finally be able to talk to an expert after weeks of internet research). "Well...good luck with that." That was the employee response! I was gobsmacked! Confused...I started searching for a second question. "Oh - I don't want anything special - just a road bike - not brand specific - and I'm patient - I can't wait." The other guys in the shop were all watching / listening to our conversation. "You see that bike right there?" As he pointed to a road bike in the bike. "The owner ordered that bike 2 years ago." I honestly didn't know what to say. "What about all the bikes your website says you have available?" "Yeah that's all wrong - the manufacturers do all that - we don't have any road bikes." I'd heard enough. Again - I've never been in this store before...and maybe these guys were tired and and just didn't want to deal with me. But in over 40 years of shopping for merchandise-I've never been blown off before. I couldn't help thinking of the owner was one of these guys - or if the owner knew they were turning away business - from customers willing to wait.... I just walked out - called TriBikeRun (a little farther from my house)...their response was what I expected, "they said what?!?!? I'm sorry they did that to you! We totally can help you - swing by tomorrow - ask for (their name) - and I'll help you!" Stay away - if they're dismissive to someone who wants to spend thousands on a bike - not sure I'd expect any different for anything else. read more

This is a place where you do not want to take your bike. No greeting or anything can expect when you open the door. Some body will talk with until you walk at the back of the shop. I took my wife's bike for a service same day I received a call saying that it was ready. At that moment I said wow!; until I ride my bike and the shifter was not working and the front gear was blended. Wow! They charged me $45 for nothing Do not use this shop service. read more

Bicycle world has 3 locations. The owner knows a lot about bicycles and is a very nice man. Some of the staff are newbies and don't know everything that they should, but I still respect the fact that the owner gives people jobs with no experience and allows them to learn on the job. read more

I like this place a lot! Andrew and Erik were extremely helpful. I came in today with a weird noise happening with my bike that I bought here. They fixed it FOR FREE and even cleaned the chain and entire bike!! I was so surprised at how they went above and beyond. They also walked me through some other bikes I could try if I wanted to change to a road bike (which I've been considering). I appreciated that they weren't pushy with anything! We feel that we found a good value on a new bike for our son here. We have been to a couple of shops. We met Eric here and found him very helpful (more than some other shops we went to). First let me say, I was so impressed with the store. Aeric came up to us right away and helped us pick out a bike. He was patient, very knowledgeable and funny too. He asked us questions to ensure we got the right bike for our riding needs. He took the time to measure, fit, and have us test the bike to ensure we were in love with out purchase. What's more, he even took the time to change the kickstand to match the bike two times because we were being fickle....all the while he smiled and laughed. The store got pretty busy and he managed to keep everyone's needs met even with us being so high maintenance. Ryan and Aeric are super helpful and stand by their products. They know bikes and are fun to deal with. We will definitely go back. Wife and I took her bike here for some simple repairs. Guy said it would be ready in less than a week and that they would call us when it was finished. Three weeks go by and no call. I finally go in there and ask what is going on. They can't find our order or our bike. Guy tells me he will look for it and call me when he finds it. Another week goes by, no call. We finally call them and tell them we're coming to pick the bike up. When we arrive, they say they'll fix the bike right away. Uh Gee...I don't think so. Won't ever be back. read more

I always have used this bike shop for any repairs on my 3 bikes. I bought a wired odometer about a year ago, the young man who helped me installed it and was very pleasant. Went back in today as it stopped working, the man who helped me was clearly not thrilled with doing so, I asked if he would install the new wireless odometer that I was buying. As it was offered last time I assumed this was an acceptable request. He states "if you want to wait I may be able to Im very busy". He then walked away to help a MAN that had just come in. Well, I went to Bike World on Indiantown Road the other night dying to buy a bike. I'm 55 years old, 5'7 1/2 " and a size 8. The reason I provide this info is that their "salesperson" "Aeric" (yes, that's how it's spelled according to him, "as in aerodynamic"... kept pushing this pink- cruiser (which was ghastly). I wanted a more sophisticated/mature color scheme (as I'm not 12). Keep in mind, both were the same price, height and similar style. Or could be ordered from another store. After 15 minutes of him pushing the baby bike, I asked what he had against the bike I liked. His answer--and I'm not kidding-- was that I was a big girl and this bike didn't look good on me. That I wasn't a small girl... essentially... that it made me look fatter than I already am... (I'm not mad, it's just kinda crazy!) For a little background: Aerodynamic "Aeric" was a head shorter than me at least. What I should have said, was: "Well, I imagine most people ARE big compared to you." But I didn't-- I didn't want to frighten Aerodynamic Aeric , I just wanted him to sell me a bike! But, Aerodynamic Aeric wasn't much into selling a $500 bike last night to me. Or, to my big husband, who I mentioned, needs one as well. Yes, we'll take our big bodies (and wallets) to their competitor. We came to this store to purchase a new bike and some other gear. The sign on the door said to please social distance. The door was locked (52 minutes before closing) but we could see two workers and a customer inside. I then noticed a sign that said "curbside only" so I called the store. The man than answered immediately said he was putting me on hold. After holding for a few minutes I looked through the window to see that both the guy behind the counter, and the customer, were just standing there watching the third guy work on a bike. Brought my bike in for repairs to my brakes, he said it would be better to put new ones on. I agreed when I went back to collect it, now this was a trek it had two different brakes. One white and one black. I said that will not work, and said just put the originals back on. He said they threw them out. So I just took my bike to another store and had them fixed properly. I lost $79 on that deal. They probably sold them to another customer. Watch out for this shop. read more

I have only had one experience with this shop thus far and it was a great one. I am new to the area and went to the closest shop. The shop is large, well laid out, clean and seems to have a good variety of stock on hand. I needed a tire tube changed and the guy at the service counter stopped what he was doing and took me right away so didn't have to wait around. While he was working on it, I was asking a LOT of questions, advice about all kinds of things pertaining to bikes. Tires, tubes, wheels, suspension, maintenance, etc. I am somewhat of a beginner and i'm sure my basic questions could have annoyed some people. But Mike, ( I later asked his name and he said he was the manager) was extremely patient, informative and helpful the entire time. There was another review on here that said the manager was a jerk, im not sure if they are talking about the same guy, because I didn't see any of that while I was there; quite the opposite actually. If they are talking about the same guy, maybe he was having a bad day, or maybe the person that said it was a real jerk, who knows. Like I said I have only had one experience there so far, but I am going to go back there for any future needs, maintenance,, upgrades etc. If he turns into a jerk next time, or I have a bad experience, I will update this review to reflect that. read more

I brought two bikes in to have a standard tuneup. I picked them up a week later and paid what they charged me. I got home and found that no service had been done to the bike. The chains were filthy, the adjustments had not been done. Basically they just took my money. I take the bikes back to them to have them do the work they were supposed to do and they ask me what needs to be done. After they have done the service again I pick them up and they are a mess. Wrong adjustments. Brakes rubbing. Still dirty. At least they only took my time and not my money to not service them again. They sell good bikes but don't have any service done here. read more

My Son's bike needed a fix. I called these guys on Saturday afternoon and the Young Man at the tel said it would be best to come Sunday after 12. We did & the service was friendly, quick & professional. They fixed the bike in front of our eyes, offered a few additional pointers on regular upkeep....in and out in 10 minutes ...price $9...... my Son is back on his bike...Priceless. read more

Much to my disappointment Aeric is no longer employed here. It's a shame because he was such an asset to this shop. He went above and beyond to me and my son (who is disabled). He demonstrated, walked us through and explained everything we needed to know about bike safety and road rules in a way my son could understand. He made sure my sons bike was in proper working condition and that my son understood everything he said, in such a KIND, COMPASSIONATE manner. It's hard to get this type of customer service anywhere these days and we are highly disenchanted w the owners decision. I'm practically in tears, once someone connects w a kid who has social issues we parents consider it a blessing to have someone who understands (on the outside). Guess we'll be shopping again for a new bike shop Update: While I appreciate your reply, it sort of negates the situation. When a kid like mine recognizes, expects and feels comfortable w an individual, it's like you've struck gold as a parent of such a boy. He has real difficulty making connections w people. Social struggles and anxiety off the charts. This is why we will not be patronizing the shop again. It can cause a meltdown of epic proportions if he doesn't see his "buddy" Aeric there. I'm afraid that would happen, thus leaving us in more of a predicament than simply being able to move on to another sales rep. I just wish I knew why this decision was made because as I read the reviews his name is mentioned in a positive way on several occasions. Also, I see that many negative reviews (except mine) were ignored, no reply from you the owner. That makes me feel good that you've noticed, however once again I'll say it does not redeem or explain why such a valued employee is not there any longer. I know it's probably your least concern during these traumatic times, but for a mom like me w now a month of closed schools I shudder at the thought of what to do with my son to fill his days both academically, physically and emotionally. (As his interest in riding was filling these voids). I also wonder how this has impacted the lives of other customers who enjoyed, appreciated and received the gracious service brought to us by Aeric. During my first ride I almost killed myself because it would spin and almost caused me to crash on my road bike. Sub par knowledge base and experience when compared to a professional bike shop. All inventory is low end bikes. I needed new frame bearings for my full suspension Giant and they had no clue what I was talking about. Sad for Giant Bicycles. I own 4 and will never take my bike here to be serviced. Nor will I likely buy Giant again in the future simply because there is not a qualified professional dealer in Northern Palm Beach County. read more

Such a nice store! I went in there to get a basket for my bike I got for Christmas and to look for a seat with a smaller bar. I wanted my seat to be lower, but the bar stops at a certain part. The shop workers were super friendly asked me if I needed any help asked them if they had seats with shorter bars they did, but he offered to cut it for me! Today I went to Bicycle World on Indiantown for the lst time. I needed a helmet and new foam handle bar cushions. The person who waited on me was very friendly and when I told him I did not want to spend a lot of money he steered me to a mid-priced helmet. He also offered to take the old handlebar grips off and install the new ones on my Trikke, which was in the back of my car. I will be going back to this locally owned shop again for all my bicycle needs. I feel lucky to have it in my neighborhood. read more

I am not one to belittle a small business; however, it baffles me how this company is still in business, aside from their outrageous overpricing. Customer satisfaction is apparently not important to these clowns. I brought my bike in for new tires... seems simple enough right? After 5 weeks of having my bike and 3 separate sets of tires ordered, I still left with the wrong tires and a missing trailer hitch. Incompetence is an understatement when dealing with the likes of these individuals. Do yourself a favor and avoid this establishment at all cost!! Just to be clear, the owner specifically does not care about YOU (the customer): the employees at least tried to be more understanding and even went so far as to try and pay me cash knowing the low level of service I was really afforded. I've been in the market for a new bike for about a month. I've been on the internet doing my research and had decided on the type of bike I wanted and had narrowed my search to TREK and CANNONDALE. After reading the review about Bicycle World Jupiter as posted by a fellow Jerseyite on Nov 15th I was reluctant to go back to this store even after having previously positive experiences with all the sales people at all three Bicycle World locations since 2002, including Aeric. My fears were totally unfounded. Aeric was the same customer oriented individual I had previously dealt with. I went in knowing what I wanted (or so I thought). He was respectful of my desires but professionally and succinctly pointed out the errors in my thinking and what I wanted wouldn't necessarily be what I needed. His recommendations were sound, explaining how uncomfortable I would be long term with my choice. He mentioned I needed something a bit larger than my choice and they had a bike in stock that met my requirements perfectly. After showing me the Giant ,a brand I had never before considered (as I was set on a Cannondale), he had the service department make a couple of quick adjustments and as soon as I road the bike the length of the parking lot my body said YES! overriding my previous thoughts. I left a happy camper with a new, blue, GIANT Cypress DX bicycle that will meet my needs for years to come. Aeric's suggestion has put the fun back into biking for me. Perhaps if "L" had been more open minded towards Aeric's suggestions she would have left a happy camper also! read more

Recently I was looking for cycling gloves and the other bike shops had gloves in $35-$49 range, quite a bit to pay, I thought, for a small piece of fabric. Bike World had Giro, a name brand, for $20, and in my size (medium). Not all the other shops had mediums. read more
