So instead, I drove across the street to Goodwill, where they took it without complaint. You need to let people know these things! I love your mission, and wanted you to have my things, but didn't like the attitude of the person accepting donations. "It's the rule." No apologies for my inconvenience.

Back in the fall I inquired about possibly renting event space -- turns out the inquiry form IS THE RENTAL AGREEMENT -- something I've never experienced. No offer to show me the space, to attempt to speak to me, just interest in gathering information = you've committed to pay for the space. Janet contacted me today, fewer then 10 days before dates I was interested in, to say that the balance is due + 50% fee for late cancellation. This isn't any way to conduct "business" and I in no way recommend renting their space.

The second time I rang the bell as it says to do for an attendant. A man came out of the office yelling, "Who rang the bell!". He saw me standing behind the fence and very rudely said, "We're closed to donations because we're having computer issues". Stunned I said to my husband How should computer issues affect excepting donations? He told me to get in the vehicle that we were done with Habitat. It breaks my heart because I have always donated to good community causes. We gave our donations to Goodwill who accepted them with a smile and a Thank you.

So we waited over 2 weeks, not searching for other dogs. We called numerous times; we emailed numerous times, just trying to find out if our app was received and approved (we've NEVER been denied). No one ever replied. I'll repeat that, no one EVER replied. Finally, on 09/18, we noticed one of the pups had been adopted. Then today, the other two are still listed, and we FINALLY received a reply via their FB page "sorry, the dogs are all adopted". Hey, we get it. They are all volunteers. They all have day jobs. But NO ONE could find time in 2 1/2 weeks to just call or email?? We all love dogs. How about a little humanity?
