I went with 2 hot dogs today to get a taste of something meaty but not meat, a Carolina and an Hola Amigo. Carolina came with chili, cole slaw, onions and American cheese. Hola Amigo was fully loaded with guac, sour cream, jalapeños, banana peppers and nacho cheese. Before diving in, I had an assumption that all ingredients tasted similar to their meat or dairy counterparts. I couldn't believe how tasty all of this was. Hot dogs, tasted like hot dogs. Chili and cheese the same. These were two delicious and fully loaded dogs that I'd put up with the best of them. I'm looking forward to trying their juicy looking burgers next time. I will never give up meat or dairy, but Mike's has single handedly opened my palate to vegan food. If you're vegan, this is your spot. If you're a meat lover like me, definitely come and give this one a try. You'll be glad you made that leap.

The shrimp substitute actually looks a lot like shrimp! Definitely not the real thing but was still pretty good. The Carolina burger was also pretty good. Definitely tastes like vegetables but it was juicy and had a great texture/char. The loaded fries were our favorite. Delish! They also make their own juices, we tried a couple different lemonades and both were fantastic. The service was friendly and the inside has super cute decor. It was a little pricy but the portions were good. Not sure if I'll go back but would definitely check it out if you're vegan or vegetarian!

I don't think Greensboro really has another concept like that. At first it seemed a little different, but it actually makes so much sense because after dinner you can easily order dessert right at your table. They even bring you the dessert menu, so you don't have to get up and go to the other section. You can also just sit in the restaurant area and order desserts if you want, which I thought was really convenient. I also loved that the chef is from Oaxaca, Mexico, and you can definitely taste the inspiration in the food. I'm from Oaxaca and Guerrero myself, so I really appreciated the flavors and style of cooking. The drinks were really good too -- especially the cantaritos. They honestly tasted like the ones you get in Mexico. The esquimo wasn't my favorite since I've had better before, but the other desserts were really good. I loved the esquites and the fried plantains with condensed milk. Overall, everything else was flavorful, authentic, and worth trying!

We decided to try different versions of their tex mex combinations in order to taste a number of different items on the menu. My wife opted for the combination with two options while I went for the three. Her two were a soft chicken taco and a chili relleno. My three were an enchilada, a soft taco, and a quesadilla. Let's talk first about the stars of each dish. The chili relleno was very flavorful and my wife enjoyed it immensely. For me the quesadilla, which, if you look at the picture, it appears more like a taco, was also very delicious. It was a unique version of a quesadilla, as it was not pressed as they normally are on a flat top. As for the rest of our meals, the entrées suffered from a serious lack of seasoning and flavor. The refried beans were bland and non-descript. The red sauce on the enchilada was more like a marinara sauce. It had very little Mexican spice and flavor. Both of our soft tacos were mostly cheese and lettuce, and the meat, in our case chicken, was not seasoned very well. Once again, it all leaned bland. A few other things to point out. The margaritas we had were tasty, but the "16" ounce glass seems closer to 12 and it was 70% ice as you will see in the pictures. I will also say that a vast majority of the menu is very pricey. We are always willing to pay more for great food. Sadly, the food at Gusgueras falls short.

Not your thing? Don't let that deter you bc they are one of the few places I have seen who has Old Rasputin on DRAFT. Those not familiar, this is a Russian imperial stout by North Coast Brewery out of Ft Bragg, California. Something I haven't had since... well, I lived in California. Personally, one of my favorite stouts. Beer not your thing? They have an array of specialty contrails and some solid liquor choices including buffalo trace's limited purchase bourbon (eagle rare/ blantons). Food: the Brussels, sandwiches, and salads looked amazing (neighboring patting got those). We split a few things: Brisket: nit the best I have ever had, but solid choice. Maybe not for the $, but it was fall apart brisket. Wings: these are crispy fried with sauce on the side. A little hard but good. Not my favorite. The poutine was by far a favorite with the melty cheese and the gravy was delicious. We also had the street corn and with the lime was pretty good as well. These 4 things were plenty for the 2 of us with a little extra. We didn't mind paying the extra because of the experience. I did about die of heat, but I should have put a hair the in my bag and wore a skit or just not jeans. We will definitely be back.

Very generous portion sizes and phenomenal flavors. The breakfast club standout was the pork sausage. Absolutely excellent and elevated that flavor profile to the highest degree. If you get the chilaquiles, I highly recommend getting both salsas. It offers a great contrast of flavors. I got mine with the birria meat and I was completely satisfied. The blueberry hushpuppies were an amazing surprise. Like deep fried donut holes. The cinnamon butter that goes alongside it was a perfect pairing. Finally, the beignets were melt in your mouth good. Like flaky funnel cakes. I want to give a special shoutout to our server Raegan. She was great in recommending items along with making our drinks to order. Lastly, the ambience of the entire restaurant was cozy and friendly. After hearing so many great things, my family and I finally decided to try it this weekend, and all I can say is... WOW! What an incredible experience from start to finish. First, let me say that Zee, the owner and chef, is one of the most welcoming restaurateurs you'll ever meet. He not only prepares amazing food but also takes the time to personally greet his guests, making you feel like family the moment you walk in. We started with the Hummus and Fresh Flatbread, and it was absolutely outstanding, fresh, creamy, and full of flavor. Next came the Börek (Ground Beef and Feta Cheese). Think of it as the best, most flavorful "egg roll" you've ever had, but with authentic Turkish flair. Simply delicious! I had the Bugu Kebabi, served in a clay plate with red onions and tomatoes. Sealed with baked bread. I'm usually not a lamb person, but when Zee explained that the lamb is marinated for hours in an onion-based broth, I decided to step outside my comfort zone. I'm so glad I did! The lamb was incredibly tender and packed with flavor. The presentation was also unique and memorable, with the delicate thin bread cut open right at the table. It was more than enough for my daughter and me to share. My wife ordered the Beyti Kebab, is a Turkish dish consisting of ground beef, grilled on a skewer and served wrapped in lavash and topped with yogurt sauce and butter sauce. Every single bite was bursting with amazing flavors. Another outstanding dish! All the desserts are to die for, many are imported from Turkey. Before you leave, don't miss the opportunity to enjoy an authentic Turkish Coffee, Turkish Wines, or a Turkish Beers to complete the experience. If you're looking for a restaurant that offers healthy, authentic, delicious, and very reasonably priced food, Zeeyum Kitchen should absolutely be on your list. The service is exceptional, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and there's plenty of convenient parking. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back!!!

I wish I could say that it was worth the wait, but my experience here suggested otherwise. Positives first: Noor is both spacious and stylish with plenty of seating in both the bar and dining areas. Sujan proved to be an attentive and courteous server. That said, the buffet was somewhat underwhelming. It was smaller than those I've found elsewhere in the area. While it offered a solid mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, those offerings were the epitome of playing it safe. Only the hakka noodles (not always an Indian buffet staple) and butter chicken (better than average) really stood out. Nothing else, from the tandoori chicken to the daal to the naan, was prepared poorly, but it was fairly forgettable. Granted, buffet food needs to appeal to a wide range of diners with varying levels of spice tolerance, and so I went in not expecting any heat. Take spiciness out of the equation, however, and the flavors still felt subdued. At least the $20 seemed reasonable for what was offered. It's possible that Noor really shines if you order off the regular menu, and so I wouldn't rule out a return here. The next time I want a weekend lunch buffet, however, I think I'll stick to Taaza.

My wife's wood-fired salmon was pretty good, but her vegetables came out with no seasoning at all. My wood-fired filet was cooked exactly right, but it also had no seasoning, and when you find yourself asking for steak sauce for a filet, something has gone wrong in the kitchen. Then the peach crumble showed up and stole the entire night. It is genuinely amazing, and I'd tell anyone within earshot to order it. Great atmosphere, great service, great drinks, and a dessert worth the trip. If the kitchen brings the seasoning up to the level of everything else, this is easily a four-and-a-half-star restaurant.

The food alone is 5 stars, but the prices would raise the bar to 5+ stars if possible. The value you get for what you pay is amazing. Almost everything on the extensive menu is $11 or less, and many in the range of $6-$7 including my sandwich and spring rolls. When you're paying $15-$20 at many other places for the same thing, you can see the value here. Compare this to the rising costs in the fast food industry for significantly less quality food, and you can consider this a steal.
