I said no thanks and the owner calls me back with a backhanded apology saying they were still in within the timeframe. Then he has the nerve to tell me I'm playing games because I said they could still come check out the car but I wasn't certain I would take the offer if it changed from my original quote. The owner Ray explained that they would waive the taxes of $85 but couldn't legitimately explain why I was misquoted. My car was not finished in the timeframe they promised and upon receiving the car any work done till that point was extremely sloppy and unsatisfactory. 1.13.21, at 5:45pm I brought my car back and spoke to Ray the owner. He told me it was after 6pm and they are closed even after I showed him it was not 6pm yet. He refused to look at my car or provide any refund whatsoever that I requested. He can only provide you with excuses. Ray the owner is not knowledgeable in automotive mechanics and is incompetent as a business owner. My car window was completed shattered by a thief in my neighborhood (Mayor Blasio, you should be ashamed to tell twitter about reduced crime rates). I called almost a dozen shops; Jim answered the phone with a price and told me that the repair could be done on the same day. When I arrived, I noted that the shops are manned by group of seasoned staff who talked straight. The waiting room was spacious and the staff who installed the window cleaned the window (wiped the edges several times) before fitting the glass into a space holder (a rubber frame) then putting the whole set back on to my car. The whole process took approximately 40 min. which is exact what I expected (when in double, google it). I paid what I was quoted over the phone. One day after the repair, I received a follow up text from the store just to make sure that everything is fine. It is a very nice touch in customer service, reflecting the pride and honor of the owner as well as management. As I drove away, another customer who had the same window problem came. I hope those who read this review would never ever need to replace his or her car windows due to theft or accident. If you ever do, I recommend this auto shop.
