In both instances the owner took our vehicle right in, without an appointment, serviced it, and charged a VERY fair price. My experience at this shop was terrible. They quoted me one price, then when I got there it was almost $300 more. The owner Ray explained that they would waive the taxes of $85 but couldn't legitimately explain why I was misquoted. My car was not finished in the timeframe they promised and upon receiving the car any work done till that point was extremely sloppy and unsatisfactory. 1.13.21, at 5:45pm I brought my car back and spoke to Ray the owner. He told me it was after 6pm and they are closed even after I showed him it was not 6pm yet. He refused to look at my car or provide any refund whatsoever that I requested. He can only provide you with excuses. Ray the owner is not knowledgeable in automotive mechanics and is incompetent as a business owner. Hello Yelpers, I brought my 2003 BMW Z4 in to Rayco for two issues. The first problem was it was not starting consistently and the second was my gas gauge was only showing half a tank after a complete fill up. I dropped my car off and within a couple of hours they called me and found the issues and said they had to order some parts. This particular year car is unique because some parts are hard to get, but Rayco was able to source them with no issues. When the repairs were done, I picked up my car and noticed that not only was it fixed but it was fully washed and detailed. The bill was also very reasonable for all the work that they did. The one thing that impressed me the most was that they picked up the phone, called me and kept the line of communication open letting me know where they were in the repair process. I have 2014 Nissisn Armada platinum I brought my vehicle for an oil change to Reyco. I was told my battery fail. I told them to install a new one. The battery which was placed was AC DELCO 600 CCA 24RPS 600 CCA. Which I felt was a small battery I then check the AC Delco's website and it stated the that right size battery was a 27 RPG 750 CCA or a 24 RPG 700 CCA not a RPS 600 CCA I confirm this by speaking with a Delco rep . I informed Ray the manager about the correct battery. He told me not to worry and the battery had a warranty. Six months later 7/25/20 I when to dealer for a recall issue. They tested the battery it failed the test. I went back to Reyco and inform him of this and he did not want to have nothing to do with this. He did not want to test the battery and said he wasn't going to believe what the dealer said. Is this a Mechanic shop that you would want to go visit I don't no more. Reyco to the Rescue! My car broke down in Secaucus on a trip from the DC area to Upstate New York. It was 5:30 p.m. on a Friday - not exactly ideal. I did a quick Yelp search and saw this place had good reviews and was not too far. Somehow after not starting for 40 min while waiting for the tow truck, it started and I was able to quickly drive it to this shop which luckily has late hours on Fridays. The guys looked at it immediately, determined the problem and got us a reasonable estimate. We went to grab a bite to eat while it was being repaired, and let's just say within two hours we were back on the road heading upstate and the car has been fine since. Just to reassure me they gave me a number for after hours assistance which was nice. Completely agree with the other reviewer - the customer service was excellent. They didn't skip a beat and saved my weekend. The family reunion wouldn't have been the same without me :) ps. the bathroom was really clean too! read more

I was having a .. let's say.. "poop" day to begin with. Horrible weather, horrid traffic, soggy boots, and a entire exhaust system that fell out from the bottom of my nissan pathfinder. !%#%!@#$!!! After an online search I found that this place had sound reviews and wasn't too far away from my apartment. I nervously placed my faith in the people of the interwebs and I trekked it slowly, in my now obnoxiously loud beat up car, to the shop. I anticipated that I'd have to leave it there for a day or two until they fixed it. BUT NO. 2.5 hours later BINGO BANGO ALL FIXED! Stellar job, really reasonable pricing, and awesome friendly staff who explained it all to me AND gave me a tour of their very clean, very professional garage. I haven't been to this place in a long time probably 2007 or 2008, but it convinced me enough never to trust these crooks again...and hey now there's help from yelp. When I first came here I needed a new starter on my 'then' car Nissan maxima 1995, My father in law recommended this place because he knew one of the mechanics here. So we talked to the guy said I needed a new starter, shook the guys hand even and everything was a go. Got the starter replaced everything was good at the time. $350 was the final price for the starter and he said he "cleaned some cables." 2 months later I start up my car, 50 miles away from my home and the starter craps out. Waited an hour for the tow truck driver, towed my car to my cousins shop (where I should've went from the beginning, stupid mistake on my part.) Got to my cousins he takes out the starter, then my cousin said to me "Did your worst enemy work on your car? He put in an old Honda starter that looked like was ready to fail at any moment." He asked what I paid I said 350 and he laughed when I said that the crooked mechanic also "cleaned some cables." Now come on here, it definitely isn't fair and is one of the many reasons why I don't trust mechanics at regular shops like this one. Is it my fault? Sure I blame some of this on me for trusting these crooks. But it's definitely reycos fault also for hiring mechanics that are prone to ripping you off. I should have went back and complained but I didnt. Maybe they don't have those types of guys working on your car anymore, idk, I haven't been there in years. But you never know. Here's a tip, either learn and work on your car yourself or try to get a family member or close friend to work on your car because trusting strangers to fix and repair your car is not always a good idea, especially with places like this one read more

I've used them twice, and both experiences were worst than the other. First time I used them, I was replacing the window motor in my 1999 SS Camaro. I could not for the life of me install the new motor. This is before everyone started posting "how to" videos on the internet. Anyhow, I noticed that in the process of trying to replace the motor, I scratched the tinted window a little bit on the driver side. When I dropped my car off to them, I even told them... Don't worry about the tint, I scratch it already. When I came to pick up my car, the first thing that I noticed was the giant patch of tint missing from the window. I said, what happened? They said, well you said you scratched it so we weren't worried about scratching it some more. I said to myself, okay... maybe they're right. I go to sit in my car. I go to pull the door shut, and I immediately felt the door panel was loose. I noticed a small crack and a sliver screw (painted black) going right through the plastic trim behind the mirror. Then I put 2 and 2 together. These fools, tried zipping everything back on with a gun. So when they tried putting the door panel back on, it wasn't level or flush... so some screws were completely screwed in, while others were pinching the door panel material and just hanging out. I looked up those mirror trim pieces, and got both for $20. The genius over there tried zipping the center screw in, and because of the pressure cracked the trim in half. I took the whole door panel off and reinstalled everything. I went to go talk to the owner, and he said... "We did a lot of work, we even painted the screw black." I looked at him like, what? I told him... "Next time, don't have them zip everything on with a gun. These screws are suppose to go in by hand." The second and last time I went there... I had ordered a driver side mirror for my dad's truck. They called me when the part came in. I dropped the truck off and waited inside. They said it's only going to be a half hour the most. 45 minutes later, I said... "Listen, I need to go. I need to make deliveries." They said, the job's already started, and that it won't be that much longer. I go to walk around because my truck was parked on the side, guess what... the old mirror was still on the truck. They didn't even start the job. I go back to the desk and said, "Listen... I need to go now. I'll install the mirror myself, it's okay." They said, okay hold on... 15 minutes later, they pull up and charge me only a half hour labor for waiting. I waited an hour... Is that right? What I take from them... They try to do more than they can handle. It's okay if you can't do everything. I'd have more respect for you for being honest, than for you to do a half ass job (my Camaro) or lie to me (truck job). read more

This shop was a RIPOFF to me! I had only 2 deep scratches on my fender and front bumper of my '09 Mustang GT that went beyond the paint, and they wanted to charge me over $1300 to paint this, while about 5 other shops locally around the area were willing to do it for MAX $650 and were willing to buff /paint every minor scratch on it too FOR FREE. This shop portrays themselves to do professional work, but the estimates they gave me were OUTRAGEOUS, so I can't imagine what they charge for checkups, and repair work..They come off as friendly and professional but slap you in the face with their ridiculous prices.... In response to the comment below, the deep scratches that were taken care of at another local mechanic shop DID NOT do a cheaper job as ReyCO is implying below. There is no sign of the original deep scratches even being there anymore and it was done at $650, and I will even show you pictures if you're really interested to prove the other autoshop did a perfect job. Just admit it RecyCO, I was a first time customer that came to your shop and you tried to take advantage of a young kid like myself by charging me over $1300 for a repair that really should of been around $700.. read more

I went in for my usual oil. Not even 2,000 mi into the oil change my oil light go off. Okay, maybe its fluke. I call and the service dept. They tell me to bring it in. I have the oil changed again. The oil light goes off around 2,000 into the oil change again. Now, something up. I call the service tech and ask him if they are putting x amt quarts in as recommended by the manufacture. Now, I'm not a mechanic, but I know when something is not right. The tech tried to tell me I had a leak and I need to bring it in. It seemed a it shady that I just had my oil changed not to long ago that if I had a leak why wouldn't they bring to my attention then. I immediately brought my car to another mechanic to look at it, and it turns out I don't have a leak. They weren't putting the recommend amount of oil in the car. Problem solved. read more

Ray and his team are excellent. I have always received but top notch service from these guys. They are always professional and do good work. All my car repairs have been done quickly, and they ALWAYS give you an estimate before they get started. Talking to Ray (the owner) I realized he started his career at premium dealer service center, and has implemented a lot of the quality systems those shops have in place. All that matters to me is that my car gets fixed at a fair price, but it's good to know that there is some accountability for what's going behind the shop door so that if there is a problem they can see what went wrong. Unrelated to running a good shop, what got me in to the shop in the first place is that I really appreciated how these guys where ahead of the social media curve and embraced customer feedback and online transparency. That takes a lot of courage for a small business, but Ray and his team are in it for the long haul, not a fly by night operation. Ignore the bad reviews.
