washing my freshly sharpened knives. dont mind the scratches - that came from me trying to sharpen them myself before I found this place.

I had 6 kitchen knives and 1 pair of kitchen shears that I needed sharpened. I tried honing, even using a whetstone but they still felt dull. I can't believe I almost sent my knives away to be sharpened when there was a hidden gem nearby. $5 per knife, which was a great deal compared to other places. The turnaround time was quick too. Some places will have you leave your knives for a couple of days but I took a long walk and they were done! I tested the knives as soon as I got home and they cut through vegetables with ease. Everyone in the shop is extremely nice and knowledgable too. I will definitely be returning when I need more knives sharpened.

We had over 1/2 a dozen knifes that desperately needed sharpening and I've been meaning to get them done ,but really didn't know where to go.So I was looking for parking around Fort Hamilton Parkway and stumbled across a knife sharpening place right on the corner of 63rd & 10 Ave.What can I say, they did a very professional job.it was quick, easy and priced right.I'm very pleased with the work they done.Highly recommended ,all you restaurants that are now getting ready to get "back to normal" take note and bring your stuff to these great people!

Walked in with a folding knife which became smudged and dull. In 5 min it was clean and very sharp. 5 bucks. Nice folk.

Everything good except the buzzer repair did not work, pulled hairs. I live in Florida so I didn't tell them.

KNIFE SHARPENING REVIEW, with a happy ending. I was looking…read morefor a shop that sharpened chef/cooking knives and found Royal Shoe Repair on YELP. I took a hopeful leap of faith since it is a shoe repair business & not specifically a knife sharpening establishment. I met with Sasha the owner who I gave 4 of my good knives that needed sharpening. He worked on them quickly and I picked them up with in an hour. I got them back and did my cutting test. I piece of paper held up and the knife blade cutting through the paper. If it slices the paper to the left or right the blade needs to be worked on that side of the blade. WEL my knife couldn't even cut the paper!!!!! These knives were not sharpened well. I was disappointed to say the least. He assured me no one has ever complained.Who cares I'm complaining now. I was so disappointed, I Took my knives and left. Sasha called me with in 15 minutes and said he wanted to RECTIFY the workmanship, HE asked f I would come back on Saturday as his friend who had a special machine would come to help fix them. He was sorry and he wanted to make it right. I appreciated that he wanted to fix the problem. I agreed to come back on Saturday - THE RESULTS ARE PERFECTLY SHARP BLADES! Smooth finish and sliced through the paper as it should! As well as thin slices of onions once again! THANKS SASHA!
