For those who know, a Chinese cleaver is not a bone cleaver, it is used like a Chefs knife and cannot break through bone. The cleaver was heavily damaged and I was looking for a place to help me repair and sharpen the blade. Indulge Kitchen Supplies was one of the only places that responded and I am glad they did. The store itself is on a main street with a fair amount of street parking and the store is super cute. The store sells a variety of kitchen gear from different knives, cutlery, utensils, etc. Most of the curated items are modern and high quality such as Durelex glass and Global Knives. While their prices are a little higher than online prices, they have quality stuff and I recommend buying from them. Their knife sharpening and repair was a life saver for me. The Chinese Cleaver is a large knife and they were able to get it done for me in less than a day and it was fully repaired. Looking at the photos you can see that they took out all the dings on the knife and sharpened it back to the point where I could use it again. I highly recommend this service and would readily come back when I need any knife repair or sharpening.

I found this place on Google Maps and it happens to be right off the 7 train so I can go during my lunch break. They also offer shipping services but drop-off in person was only $10 for my knife (very well worth it as it was $94 for my knife). It was a little hard to find, but I've enclosed the picture of the door next to the affiliated Iron Works. When I came yesterday, no one answered the door bell so I called; he told me that I could drop it off with one of the Iron Works workers. I got a receipt and took a picture of my knife. I came back today, rang the doorbell, and picked up my knife. He only accepts Zelle and cash (no Venmo or credit card). I'll try it out tonight but it certainly looks sharp! He put it in an extra sheath and stapled it for me. Very happy to find a convenient place to sharpen knives. I think it would've been $11 for same day but it was $10 because it was next day.

I also had a little paring knife, which I had dropped several months back and the tip broke off so that was going to get repaired and sharpened. As it explained on the website it there are various drop off points, but it is easiest for me just to go directly to his home location in Paramus. I pulled up and handed over my knives. The next morning, my knives were ready for pick up. I got a fair warning to be very careful as they would be extremely sharp and many don't realize until it's too late. I was so excited to use my knives that I immediately took out a tomato which I had not been able to slice without lots of pressure and a mess for a long time. I couldn't believe the ease of slicing through. I didn't have to apply any pressure and had a beautiful sliced piece. I did end up with a tiny cut on my thumb, even after Enrico's thoughtful warning, but it was so worth it to have these amazing sharp knives. Also for reference he charges by the length of the knife so for my two knives and the tip being repaired, it was only $14.50. Well worth it. Highly highly recommend.
