Not only is he incredibly skilled, he is also a low key comedian, which makes a dental appointment feel surprisingly comfortable and relaxed. You can tell how much he genuinely enjoys interacting with his patients. He treats everyone with care, respect, and attention, and yes, his Virgo energy absolutely shows in the best way. The staff is equally phenomenal. From the front desk to the dental assistants and hygienists, the entire office is welcoming, knowledgeable, and kind. The women at the front desk are engaging and organized, and the clinical staff is thorough, gentle, and professional. It honestly feels like a dream team. I have had several services done here including cleanings, a crown, and a cavity filling, and I have zero complaints. I never felt pressured to do anything. I already knew what I wanted to prioritize, such as replacing older silver fillings with white ones, and the approach was always collaborative and respectful. They remember me when I come in, their technology is very up to date, and the ability to text the office makes everything so convenient. The entire experience feels modern, personal, and well run. I live in DC and travel outside of the city to come here, and it is absolutely worth it. I cannot recommend Dr. Han and his entire team enough. Incredible care from start to finish.

Everyone at this office is super nice and I have no ill will, but I want to share my experience to…read morevalidate anyone having the same feelings. I came in for a cleaning and the dentist told the assistant to run my xrays through AI. This immediately set off alarm bells for me, as I expect a trained dentist to be able to identify cavities with their eye and not rely on AI, which we know makes mistakes. AI said I had 4 cavities, which I thought sounded like too many because I'm diligent about my dental hygiene. But I went ahead and got two of them filled. On one of the fillings the dentist kept drilling and drilling, and despite being numbed, I could feel it. I raised my hand to say I could feel it and he just stopped and started filling it. I was like - if I hadn't raised my hand, would he have just kept going? I then had persistent pain in the tooth for a week (there was zero pain before) so I went to another dentist for a second opinion. Turns out the dentist had not adjusted the filling to my bite correctly, so the way I was biting was inflaming the nerves in my tooth. Adjusting fillings to bite is Dentistry 101, so why wasn't that done? The new dentist also said he drilled so close to my nerves that I was almost in a root canal situation. Fortunately not, but wow, that really scared me. He also said I only needed one other filling, he didn't at all see this 4th filling I was told I needed. I saw another review on here of a man who was told he needed 7 fillings and then a second opinion said he only needed 4, so this isn't a one-off instance. It seems like this place prioritizes making as much money as possible, and therefore wants to sell as many procedures as possible, regardless of negative health impacts. I was also forced to buy a $30 prescription toothpaste, what a rip-off. They also push their in-house orthodontist heavily on people. I'm happy with my teeth even though they're not perfect, so I was not thrilled about the dentist unprompted telling me all the ways I could make them better with their orthodontist. In this economy?! I'm happy I found another dentist who doesn't put money first.

Upon arriving there, the front desk individual didn't even bother looking at my account and made me sign all the paperwork that I already did ahead of time. I didn't want to argue with her and make a bad impression for my first visit, so I just redid them all - just for her to look at my account after I handed her the papers and say, "Oh! Somebody wrote a note here saying you already did it!" I got pulled to the back by an assistant (?), she never introduced herself or what role she did. She did a fantastic job with the x-rays and cleaning though! A lady named Kim walked in next, no clue what her role was either. She spoke to me about cleaning and flossing as if I were a 5 year old child. I'm a petite woman who is on the younger side, but cmon. As someone who's worked in healthcare for over 5 years, this was the worst bedside manner I've ever seen and experienced in my life. Dr. Nguyen was the next person in the room and spoke about 5 words to me then left. I am interested in doing Invisalign but they do consultations only on Wednesdays and Fridays with the last appointment being at 4pm. Nothing on Saturdays. That's difficulty for someone who works an 8-5 job and cannot get off. Overall, I was unimpressed with this visit and will be debating with coming back.

However, I had several concerns with the front desk staff, particularly regarding my insurance eligibility. Eventually, my insurance processed and paid for my exam and X-rays, but the front desk staff still did not acknowledge that the office was listed as an in-network provider under my insurance plan. In addition, the manager, Christina, told me that she would contact me in two weeks after submitting a pre-authorization request to my insurance company for my treatment plan but I did not hear from her. I did not feel that my concerns were handled with the level of care and professionalism I expected. Overall, I was disappointed with the customer service I received from the front office. I've now had multiple treatments here and really appreciate the time Dr Khan takes to thoroughly assess each tooth to provide the right treatment plan. The facility is great and very well run. There are tvs in each room, modern equipment such as 3d handheld teeth scanners for more precise /comfortable imaging (I've ordered 2 night guards that fit great the first time they were made vs other offices where they've had to be redone, and the tooth images for fillings/crowns have been high quality showing the problem from multiple clear angles), and all of the office staff wear ear radios to communicate and get the patients in and out quickly. Unlike other offices that sometimes are eager to perform any procedure if there is a hint of problem, Dr Khan truly seems to look out for the patients interest and will choose to monitor teeth if there isn't an urgent need to work on them or suggest less invasive treatments (ie filling Vs crown) in attempts to minimize tooth surface loss.
