From his early years as a youth, his military years, to his career as a Senator, Vice President, then President of America, it is all here. When people talk of this man, Watergate is always in the forefront of the conversation. And what happened then was a dark time for America, but that is not the full story of President Nixon. He did so much good during his service to our country, and it is all highlighted here. Every person should visit this museum. President Nixon started the EPA, the Clean Air Act, OSHA, Title IX, he was instrumental in the woman's rights movement and brought the Vietnam war to an end. He was the first U.S. President to visit both China and the USSR in attempts to bridge relations with these countries. And these are only a few of his accomplishments which are still shaping our country and our lives today. He loved his wife Pat greatly, and their relationship is one of the best parts of this tour. But what's more, the museum is actually on the very land his family owned. The house he was born and grew up in is still here on the property and the docents will take you on a guided tour thru it. Both his wife and he are laid to rest here too. Quite a place.

I didn't catch his name, but as soon as I walked in, he guided me to the front desk to pay for my insurance, which was five bucks. Sam, The girl working at front desk was not very friendly, no welcoming and didn't really tell me much about the exhibit. Nor about the other extra Natalie Wood small gallery in the back. I was told by Scott who was sitting by bench next to her who was nice and friendly and if it wasn't for him I'd missed this gallery. She needs to be replaced with someone more bubbly or with a more a positive attitude energy. This is my second time visiting the museum and it's always a pleasure walking and enjoying new and different exhibits. It's a beautiful ambience, very welcoming and peaceful.

Most of the vendors are selling knick-knacks rather than food, which wasn't what I expected from a night market-inspired space -- more food stall or hot bar please. The area is sub-divided into sections that seem to try to create a little of everything -- there are spaces for gatherings, worship, paintings and a small gift shop. Food options are limited to just a couple of snack bars, which don't really compare to as much options like 99 Ranch. There is also offering to learn mahjong! One bright spot, though, is the wishing tree, which is a very welcoming and thoughtful touch. Too bad, the paper was out.

This was my first experience at the current Yorba Linda library. I used to visit the previous…read morelocation frequently. This was the location of the polling booths for the primary election that I was assigned to. So I ventured to the new library. Parking was easy and plentiful with numerous spaces available that are covered by solar panels allowing guests to park in the shade. I was in a hurry so I didn't walk most of the library, I just walked into the room that was being used as a polling place, checked in, received my ballot, voted, and submitted the ballot into the machine, and exited the library all in about 10 minutes. I'll return in the future to explore the grounds and campus. What I saw was clean, nice, and tastefully appointed.

My mother and I have been to Timeless Melodies, actually 3 of them so far! They are very well done and keep us smiling the entire way through. We learned a little, reminisced a little and even sang along a little. The speaker, Larry Maurer, is incredibly knowledgeable and keeps the event moving at a pace that keeps us all entertained and awake! Parking was a breeze, the seats in the theater were comfy with great views too. Prior to going into the theater, we strolled around the hallway exhibits and the wonderful gift shop. The gift shop has high quality and unique gifts of all kinds; jewelry, kids books, art, collectibles, and so much more! Worth taking a look around. It's a very unique place that reminds me of a mini-Madonna Inn. There's a large outdoor area with a huge gazebo like structure, a massive dance floor, another outdoor area that is like a small Main Street ala Disneyland, a Victorian styled room for people to relax, changing rooms, plenty of restrooms, plus my other amenities that I can't remember. The decorations are thematic and change every couple of months. They usually are Asian/African/European/Hispanic themes. They even provide appropriate themed entertainment in the outdoor gazebo. The African dancers are a blast! The one thing that everyone likes about this place is that they really look after it's clients. They have a seamstress on duty for dances to prevent someone's dream night from turning into a nightmare. For chapparones, there's a room all to themselves to chill out and talk crap about how the kids are dressed and they even get their own snacks. They even provide their own security! I highly reccommend this place if anyone is looking to hold a large party/dance/soiree/shindig. There's really no where else like it and it's a safe and fun environment.

Taft Garden and Nature Preserve is one of the most beautiful places I've visited in my long life…read more The peace and beauty is enhanced by the limited number of daily visitors. It is possible move about the multiple trails at your own pace self guided, or join tours (when offered) to learn about the Plants, Birds, Geology, and Art. The garden is tucked away, and for me getting there and back to Ojai proper was a big part of the magic of the visit. Thank you to all who created and maintain Taft Garden and Nature Preserve.

Scheduling and working with Rebecca was easy. She was quick with assisting through email and phone calls. She made sure all our applications and paperwork were complete and let us know when we needed to provide more information. They had three guys set up and clean up the place. Mark gave me his number so we can contact him when we needed help with using the projector and other technology issues. Overall a great experience for all our guests and lots of room for kids to run around. This might be the place to rent out for indoor parties!!

How privileged we are to be able to learn about Korean culture by highly qualified Korean…read moreinstructors from Korea sponsored by King Sejong Institute and the South Korean government -- and additional sponsor, Nongshim. Today I learned about the history, style, lore, importance of the beoseon. I had no idea! After the lesson (lectured in Korean and English), we had the opportunity to practice writing Korean on our beoseon with our black calligraphy pens and cutting out the shape of the beoseon. We then transitioned to sewing our beoseon pattern pouch. I learned that the pouch is significant because it stores the pattern from which your beoseons are made. For example, in olden days, part of a bride's preparation was to make 100 beoseons and bring them to her new family's home. Typically, she would gift each adult in that household 10 beoseons each. Today's experience made me once again appreciate my Korean heritage and fanned a desire in me to learn more. I look forward to more education and making of memories at this fine institution and program. (Note, I was ambitious today. I took back to back classes. The 2nd class was about the ear-shaped pouch. It is a simple but elegant, traditional, and practical pouch to carry money, ID, tobacco, etc.). Two thumbs way up for both classes today. The lecturer was top notch and passionate about her topic, and the staff on site were all welcoming and helpful.
