So we made the difficult decision to have her euthanized. Trying to make her as comfortable as possible. We made the appointment. With the assumption it would quick and painless. Instead they made my family wait an hour in the exam room. Even then we had to ask someone to come in and help us. At that point the Vet came in as arrogant POS. Then proceeded to try and charge us $400 to put my dog down. $65 for the exam that wasn't necessary and $100 for the meds. So where did the extra $235 come from? I feel they just want to take advantage of a grieving family. Trying to get every dollar they can while you're obviously upset. All of that said, your pets deserve better. Don't take them here for anything.

They were also booked however when I told them what he was going (they passed on to Dr.Scott, she said to hurry up and get here. Took me an hour and it was well worth the drive! Straight to the back and she ended up going home with 2 pain meds and a powder to mix with water to hand feed him (syringe in corner of mouth). I did have to syringe water for him. When Dr. Scott came in, she wasn't pleasant and acted as if she couldn't touch my dog, even though he had a muzzle on. She left, and I was given an initial cost of over $1000 to start treating my dog, which I couldn't afford. The cost was then reduced to $800, and finally to $192 for bloodwork, fluids and an office visit, which I could afford. However, they said my dog wouldn't let them give him fluids nor could they draw his blood, so they sent me home with meds (pills) and charged me $162, advising me to bring him back in 2 weeks. Unfortunately, my dog wasn't eating, so giving him the meds didn't work and by the next day, he was worse. I took the long drive to his previous vet, where I should have gone initially. They immediately took action, assisted me with CareCredit and although I now have an $1800 bill, I will gladly pay it for the service and treatment my dog is receiving. Had Dr. Scott shown some kindness and not spoken about my dog in a non-caring manner in her back hallway; the walls are thin my dear, I would have applied for CareCredit at their clinic to get him treated. I will never go back to this place and Dr. Scott needs to consider a new line of work because part of being a veterinarian is to care about the animals you're servicing, regardless of breed, the owner's race, or financial status. I wasn't looking for free services; I was looking for help and guidance, but I didn't find it there.

He would not talk much about his program over the phone with my wife and said he had to come to our house to explain how it works. Long story short, he ended up taking our dog on a very short walk and we were so impressed by our dog's behavior while on the walk, we decided to pay Rick's fee up front which he represented to us would be for one year of training at about one hour per session per week. The total averaged about $50 per hour. Of the seven sessions we hung in there for and used his services, only two came close to being a full hour. Most were 15 to 30 minutes in duration. He kept telling us that was all our dog needed or could handle. That is one reason we became unhappy. The other reason we became disenchanted with Mr. Walkley is that he always chose and notified us by text when the next session would be. He did not let us first check our calendar. He did not even suggest the next training date options at the end of a session before leaving. He simply left, selected a date, and notified us as to when he would be available. If the date he selected was not good for us, it was 1-3 days later before we heard from him regarding another date he had selected. My wife requested on more than one occasion that he pick a same day/same time every week so we could plan. We advised him that there was only one day of the week that typically did not work for us and he often selected that day for training our dog. So, after seven training sessions over more than a six-month period of time, we called it quits and asked for a prorated refund of our money. He then explained to us that the upfront fee we paid was a discounted amount for our single payment and if we cancelled early, his normal fee of $195 per session would apply and he could only give us a credit toward future training. This condition was never explained to us. He did eventually provide some waiver of liability forms that alluded to the discount but did not disclose the numbers. Once we convinced him that we no longer felt comfortable dealing with him and that we were prepared to file suit, he offered his original reduced refund in cash in exchange for signing a "General Release Agreement" which would prevent us from posting any negative reviews. We refused to agree with that. It seems likely that is why he has no negative reviews on the internet. Rick Walkley talks the talk but he doesn't walk the walk. He expects to set the date and time of each session without first checking with you, he won't set weekly appointments, and he spends only a few minutes training your dog. Beyond that, he wants you to do the training but provides very little guidance and instruction for you. Let's face it, how much can he do in 15-20 minutes average training time for either the dog or the owner. It's your choice but if you decide to use Focus Dog Training be sure that you get everything in writing before paying your money.

I made an initial appointment for my kitten to get checked out because tractor supply said she was positive for worms. They tested her poop which turned out to not be her poop (i have 3 cats and it was one of the other cats) and they pointed out the first time that it was a bit big for it to be a 6 week old kittens poop. Test was negative of course and i called and asked if they could test her actual poop this time and they said yes. So i made another appointment with them because they fixed their mistake. I made a rabies vaccine appointment and told them twice on the phone i just needed rabies. They quoted me 45ish dollars give or take. When i actually went to the appointment that should've just been a vet tech appointment the vet came in checked her out again and said they had no record of us being there. So i sent the documents they needed AGAIN and they came back and said they'd give her the FVRCP but not the rabies. I refused and said the whole point of us being there is for the rabies shot and they were very hesitant about it and didn't give a reason about it. Mind you my kitten is 12 weeks old. So because of the vet coming in touching her saying "she's good!" They charged me 70$ extra and the FVRCP it was 160$ instead of the original 40$. They just want money and are greedy. I wouldn't go here if it was the last place open I'd rather drive 5 hours to a different place.
