I would give this cafe&bakery 5 stars for the quality of breads and pastries and the friendly guy behind the counter but the owner's policy to provide no plates for dining in and no boxes for taking food away is absurd (-6 stars for this). If you opt to dine in you have to eat your stuff "served" on your pastry paper bag and since it's greasy, you leave some charming stains on the table. And if you decide to take the pastries away, then it is your own problem that you did not bring any (lunch) box with you and you ended with some greasy stains on your bag/purse.
The place is very small with 5 tables inside and has limited choice of drinks and sweet and savory pastries but they are all delicious, freshly prepared and authentic. You can also pre-order celebration and holiday cakes (Easter cakes, Christmas cakes, etc.) Staff is friendly and helpful. My friend and I had leek&cheese savory pastry, cheese pastry (banitza) and milinka. That was accompanied by a yoghurt drink (ayran) and a boza drink (a sweet fermented ground millet drink) - all imported from Bulgaria and fresh.
This is a nice place where you can try Bulgarian food and nothing more. read more
