There are so many flavors, combinations, and snacks to pick from it's hard to just pick one! Both times, we have stopped at night, so it was a little hard to try and read the smaller words on the menu. We noticed that they have a walk up window along with the drive thru. We have only used the drive thru and it's usually not too long of a wait. On my first visit, I ordered a blueberry snoothy with whipped cream. My husband ordered a medium tigers blood snowblender which he really liked. I on the other hand wasn't too impressed with my drink. Our second time around I decided to skip the snoothy and go for a medium strawberry shaved ice with creme and extra syrup. (Extras are $0.50 each) I had three spoons of it and couldn't eat it. It literally felt like I was eating the ice plain. It had no flavor... boo. I know for a fact we will most likely visit again. For now I guess I have to play around with the different flavors and try them all out. The service was ok but the girl could definitely be a bit friendlier.

*** super cute, brand new ice cream & candy shop in Hobbs ***…read more What's the Scoop Ice Cream Shop is a brand new more than just ice cream located in the plaza near Albertson's Market. They also have homemade fudge, candy, gourmet candy apples, and chocolate-covered confections. It's a tight fit inside, so there isn't space to eat your frozen treat. Best plan to get it on the run! If I'm not mistaken, this is Hobbs' first chocolatier. They had so many delightful chocolate covered items - from nuts to jalapenos. My daughters were dying to try ice cream and stuck to their flavors. The youngest had two scoops in a cup of Krazy Kolors. Bold colors of red, blue, and yellow, but it tasted like plain vanilla to me. Lol. The oldest had two scoops of Cookie Two Step, which was chocolate chip cookie dough. Very cream. Large chunks of chocolate. The decent-sized cold mounds were served in small plastic ball caps both for $12.14. I've never seen the ice cream flavor "banana puddin'" so I'm definitely trying that next time! Cash or cards accepted. SUGGESTION TO OWNER Please post prices. TIP Closed Monday. My brother who normally doesn't care for sweets enjoyed his... as did both of my kiddos. A vanilla sundae for my youngest ($5.50) & a waffle cone with two scoops of birthday cake ($6.50) for the oldest. The scoops are reasonable sizes. The owners, according to the nice young lady who served us, make the ice cream daily. There is ample, free parking nearby. Also, they have a drive-thru accessible from Turner St. Cash or plastic accepted.

I didn't taste the pastries but they looked phenomenal. I ordered a dirty Chai and it was very well made with a good level of sweetness. I will definitely come back here during another work trip!

The jukebox actually worked back then. The service was fast too. The food was mostly fresh. Maybe not my favorite, but nothing too much to complain about. The pandemic most likely did some damage in hearing from others, but I have a feeling it's been in steady decline for a while. I took my family here after my daughter's school dance program on September 2, 2022. It's a bit unbelievable to watch one waitress try to take care of EVERYTHING. By everything, I mean... the dining room, phone orders, online orders, ice cream-only orders, drinks, the register. Geeze. The waitress was very friendly, but noticeably exhausted. We waited over an hour for our food. The food was mediocre and tepid by the time she got to it. She forgot my brother's milkshake. Please revive this place back to its prime. Hard pass until I hear it's changed.

TAKE A CHANCE FOR THE CHICKEN STRIPS!…read more I took a chance and went back to Saturday's today. Under previous owners, it had gotten very disappointing. Hobbs was very busy today and Saturday's didn't look too busy. I ordered what I'm most judgmental on; chicken strips! For years and years they've been frozen and it was obvious with the shape and what not. But THESE chicken strips today were definitely fresh made and hand battered with an amazingly awesome seasoned batter. Like WHOA. They were juicy and perfect but still thin enough. Crispy AND Juicy! I recommend these chicken strips and also that other people give Saturday's another chance! People were leaving as we came in so we were the only table and our waitress was very attentive and nice. Food was all delicious.

LOCATION/AMBIANCE This small shop is located at the end of plaza near the northwest corner of Turner and Broadways Streets. There are a couple of great fashion boutiques (Il Cicerone & Dani Kai) next door I suggest you check out too. THE GRUB I posted their current menu to Yelp, but they seem to rotate other items because their Instagram displays other treats almost weekly. Also, when I entered this business into Yelp, I put it as a dessert shop and somehow "bubble tea" made it to their type of business, but they don't sell that. Lol. Lemonade $6.00 Syrup $1.00 Avocado Toast $6.00 Oreo Pop x 2 $5.00 Parfait $5.00 Right before we left, one of the young ladies told me to sample a pretzel. My two daughters and I somehow managed to share it. Fun treat, but my girls definitely preferred their Oreo pops. Lol. LITTLE YELPER'S CLUB Kid sizes are not available. SERVICE Very nice & welcoming on our first visit ever on 2/8/2023. They got the avocado toast out for my daughter as fast as they could, but not without first asking her if she wanted everything on it (tomatoes, seasoning, etc.). MY FAVORITE PART... Everything we ordered was great, but their parfait was my go-to snack - healthy & delicious! Their Valentine backdrop in the window was also cute! NOT SO FAVORITE PART... I didn't have time to try everything, but it's definitely on my list for the future!
