Eden promptly responded to my initial email and patiently answered all of my questions. It was hard having him so far away (I am based in Palo Alto), but I would drive twice as far to have Eden take care of my dog. Each day Eden would post a photo on Facebook, so I could watch him grow and she was always available to talk on the phone if I wanted an update. Eden transformed my 3 month old puppy into a well-trained, well-socialized, very happy dog. My puppy knows how to come, sit, stay, leave it, drop it, shake, and walk on a leash. He now comes with me to work and is the best-trained dog in my office. Now that my puppy has graduated from board and train, I look forward to using Sierra Dogs as a boarding place. (FYI: It's a convenient location for people who are heading up to Tahoe for the weekend.) I highly recommend Sierra Dogs!

She has created a really cat friendly kitty hotel in a brand new, clean, climate controlled [space]. There are individual houses for the boarders, plus ample space for climbing, watching birds and critters out the windows. If desired, the cats are allowed to interact with each other during Cristine's supervised play time. Our "Two" had never been boarded before, and was unsurprisingly hesitant at first, but as her week wore on I could tell by the regular photos that Cristine sent me that she was really relaxing and enjoying her vacation while we were away. We've already made reservations for her for our Fall trip in a few months. Little Lion House provides the kind of environment that we are happy to trust our kitty's care to. Stephanie was super helpful and gave us names of other recommended sitters, as well as providing information on their boarding services. She genuinely seemed like she was more interested in making sure our dogs were taken care of than getting us to spend our money with them specifically. Next time we have more advance warning for our trip, we'll be going with Happy Paws.

Fantastic vet office. My dog is especially tough to take to the vet after a traumatizing incident…read moreearly in his pupperhood. Despite this, these people are just fantastic with him. They are always very patient, understanding and encouraging. Not only that - but they don't try and empty your bank account in your time of need. Some vets will try and sell you on some ridiculously over-priced "plan" before haggling to something more reasonable. Not here. They've diligently worked with me for months on a tricky skin issue which we finally have gotten under control. One time he had gotten bit in his face and there was no way I could bring him into the office without total chaos. They were very creative and drew up a plan with me to sedate him in the car and then take him in. They drained and cleaned his wound. Even with sedation, emergency visit and the special circumstances, I walked away spending a few hundred (versus what I'd expect would be closer to 1k+ elsewhere). Because my pupper is SO difficult at the vet, I've been to *dozens* of vets in EDC and Sacramento county. This is, hands down, one of the best I've visited. Strongly recommend!!!

I hate that my dog is judged before ever even meeting her or being given the opportunity to do a test day to see how she does. It was such a relief to have a business available to us to come to our house to take care of our animals! She does pet sitting herself, but also set me up with a pet sitter in another town when I'm in that area. I was impressed with her contracted sitter during our meet and greet. When a last minute need for sitting in Placerville arose, I contacted Tamara and she was able to accomodate my request. Upon arrival I noticed that the facility was very well organized, safe and set up for multiple dogs. I noted that she is extremely experienced with dogs and well versed in behavior. She is very personable and walked me around and explained how her boarding works and the different areas for the dogs. Tamara made me very comfortable leaving my pet while I ran errands for the day. The facility is set up very well for overnight boarding too. My dog had a great time at Happy Tails with Tamara's Great Dane and other guests. I would definitely return. I also had the opportunity to leave my dog with Cheryl in Folsom and had a very positive experience. I appreciate the fact that Happy Tails is licensed and insured. Highly recommended.
