This campground is very close to Six Flags, St. Louis, literally the other side of the interstate…read moreso a lot of people camp here to go to the park. It is a pretty campground, they have a lot of things for the kids to do, including a pool, a bounce pad, playground, lots of areas to ride bikes, and they have events scheduled for the kids throughout most weekends. It looks like. they have some sites that are full hook up, but I think the majority of the sites are just water and electric. They have an extensive tent section and it is out back by a horse farm, which was very pretty. They do have some rustic sleeping cabins that do not have bathrooms or kitchen, and they also have higher and deluxe cabins that have kitchens and their own bathroom. They do have laundry, six washing machines and three dryers, however, one dryer was out of order and the second one they were putting the sign on as it was broken too so basically one working dryer. Staff are very friendly. It's a pretty pricey place to stay for camping, we paid $90 a night for a full hook up site. Make sure to sign up for the KA discounts, if you camp more than once or twice at a KOA it becomes worth it.

Our second time staying at a KOA. Stayed in a deluxe cabin…read more Cabin was clean and comfortable, plenty of accommodations, including a gas grille, gas firepit, and regular fire pit. Kitchen was a nice size. Overall a great 'glamping' experience. Price was fair in my opinion compared to a hotel. The KOA was clean, staff was friendly. They have a bounce pad, dog park, basketball area, pool and playground. Our kids had a blast on the bounce pad and pool. Some cons: -pool says heated, but it was pretty cold. However in 85* muggy heat it was fine. -Dog park was fine, but kinda run down There is also a very clean/clear creek on west side of KOA, kids had a blast in it. Seems like a 1-2 day stay KOA, alot of people we met were traveling across to either CA or Carolinas, Overall if we were travelling across the US, we would stop here again!

Malinda, Greg and Dixie were all fantastic. Their service was amazing! They continually made sure we were good. We never felt like a burden, and felt like we belonged to a unique camping family. We have been to other campgrounds where there is a close knit community, and you feel as though you are infringing on their territory. Not here! Everyone was so welcoming, and invited us and our kids into different activities. It was such a pleasure and we will be back!

Bip was not allowed outside that morning. She was not put on the ground outside of our home until we arrived at cabin. She was in her purse at all times for the entire trip. Got to cabin36B at 1532 (3:32pm) Put up pin in gravel 1st thing. Left her there for 15-20 min as we unpacked the car and put away groceries. A hour later she started vomiting what looked like clear/ white spit. We thought it may be her flee meds given the day before or constipation due to the weird circles she was turning. Other ideas we were thinking were vestibular attack, elevation change, or possible bug spray/poisioning. Went to dollar general at 8ish and got Benadryl to see if it would help. Got back noticed it didn't have a syringe to administer meds. I went to my car to see if I had a saline flush, at this time the lady from came pulled up and ask if we were warm enough. I told her we were, and told her what I was looking for that my dog was sick and ask if she had a dropper or anything we could use. She ask could she come in and take a look at my dog. She stated she looked like she was "acting like the people "down town" on meth..last thought on my mind. Ended up calling the emergency vet hospital Veterinary Specialty Services 45 min away! After exam the vet said it looked like meth toxicity, and recommended a cystobladder needle aspiration to get urine to which she had to be sedated for. While waiting on the procedure, I finally ask them for something to calm her bc we have had to hear her cry at this point for almost 7 hours. It was devastating. They came got her immediately to go ahead and give her something to relax her. After she was examined it was determined she in fact had meth amphetamine toxicity. She was then admitted. We got back to cabin at 4am. On the way there we called the police to file a report to see what we could do. I ask them if they could come search the property or bring a dog or anything and they said there was nothing they could do and suggested I contact an attorney. The following morning I contacted Alitta the campground manager and let her know what was going on and what the the police said, I told her I didn't want to contact an attorney or take this further that it needed to go and we could handle this out of court, and she agreed. She offered to give me the refund for Sunday because she didn't need authorization to do that but she would have to wait on the owner or HR to refund Saturday night. She told me Sunday that the owner authorized the Saturday night stay as well and she would be reaching out to me. She was hospitalized in ICU until Monday morning at 4/23/26 Got refund Spoke with Alitta at 1650 She was not willing to give me names of the owners. Said for legal reasons. All she would tell me was Jennifer. She got very agitated when I ask. She would not give me a number to contact her boss or her bosses boss. She said she gave them my number and they would contact me. But they haven't yet. 04/24/26 1250: Finally spoke with Jennifer. Said there was an open investigation and she was not paying vet bills. And she had a lawyer but wouldn't give me a name. I called the Police Department back. Spoke with a Detective. He said there is no investigation on this subject. So this is the type of people you're dealing with. Be careful staying here! It could have been a child getting into the left over meth!!!

Saturday evening there was a band playing and a food truck there another couple had came over to our campsite and asked if we wanted to play cornhole we always bring it with us and instead of doing that we all ended up talking well after the band stopped they were breaking down and my husband turned our stereo on. The four of us are in our 60s, we aren't young kids that play music really super loud. There was no on either side of us. Nor behind us it was a big open field. The manager Loretta over to our site guns a blazing telling us that we to turn the music down that she was getting a bunch of complaints actually the band was still breaking down and the food truck just left and we were having a conversation so there's no way that the music was loud. My husband jokingly said well as soon as you leave, we'll just turn it back up lol even meeting this couple for the very first time they knew that he was joking as I did also. she told us that we should pack up and leave right then and there, knowing that we were drinking alcoholic beverages all day. Who does that kind of stuff nobody I know. I would never allow anybody to leave my home after drinking all day. She tried to come and talk to me the next day, but she has a hair up her ass for my husband. She always seems to have something to bitch about and we spend a lot of money there. we will never go back there. Also, the place is a mess. There was an inch and a half of water in the bathrooms by the pool. The pool was so scummy and disgusting. And if she thinks we were making loud noise, try going to playground at 11:30 at night when there's a bunch of kids running around and screaming and playing until their parents decide to go and tell to come in. 1130 at night kids at a playground. Yet she has to yell at 60 year old people for having a radio on please. Loretta is disrespectful talks bad about her other employees which she can't keep anybody there they quit and they talk bad about her too. We will never go there again, and I would never advise my worst enemy to go there. We were also told by an employee that 90 percent of the people that are there live there! And you can tell... rusted out campers, clothes hanging outside, toys in their yards. what a dump!
