Had an amazing experience from the moment Maurice picked up the phone. I called looking for a couple massage same day and he was able to accommodate it! He did have to confirm with Ms. Emily, the other massage therapist, but was very communicative with me in the process and confirmed in a few minutes. We originally booked for the 8pm but had to move our appt around and he was able to make it work. We arrived we were welcomed by Maurice and Emily. Yes it an office space but it is very private and intimate. Not like other places where they have multiple rooms and you hear everything through the walls. They took our intake forms got a little info about us and off we went. As for my massage this was probably one of the best massages I've had! I've been to many places and Emily did amazing! She used the right amount of pressure, she found all my knots and I've never been so relaxed in my life! I also loved how she used the right amount of massage oil because at other places I feel my skin chafe. My boyfriend even said this was one of the best massages he's had! Afterwards they weren't in a rush for us to leave they took their time speaking with us talking about the areas of tension we had, unlike other places that have quick turn around times after each client. Had the BEST massage with Brandi. Great pressure and softened when I asked her to. Didn't have to ask again, she remembered. She let's you lead the conversation so if you feel like talking she'll chat but if you feel like being quiet she will also be quiet. She spent quality time on back and shoulders which is where it really counts. If they are running behind they will still give you your full 1 hour. Massage table was heated. Everything was perfect. Plenty of parking. Pros: Best massage ever! Cons: Hard to find Building H in the dark. It's a bit too bright in the room during the massage. The sign, "Massage in Session" means don't open the door. I thought that meant to simply keep my voice low and was wrong. There's a waiting area (conference room by front door) but it's very easily missed as it is not next to Suite 107. So, if you see the sign wait in the conference room until they come get you. I would definitely recommend and will definitely be back! read more

3.5-4ish stars. We came in for the two person massage with Maurice and Emily. First off, Emily was extremely late. Our appointment was for 4:30pm, and she called/texted to reschedule to 5pm, and we didn't end up getting our massages until near 5:30pm. When we arrived to the place; wasn't really what I expected. It is a small office-like space room in a building located off of Arjons Dr. When we got there, the door was opened but there wasn't really anyone there to let us know what was happening, sure enough, I think there was someone sleeping in the room.. LOL Aside from the issues of getting into the massage, the massages itself were pretty good. They had us fill out a questionnaire to let them know if we wanted to target any specific points and were nice enough to accommodate areas we wanted to focus on even though we just had groupons for full body massages. They both did a great job of helping us feel relaxed with relaxing music, dimmed lights, and lovely scented massage oils. I think Emily could've used more pressure cause at times it seemed like she was barely pressing, but it was still relaxing! Overall, would maybe go again if timing would be more efficient/organized. read more

Jen gave ME a fantastic massage! It hit the spot and I was very relaxed and soothed following it! She was a little chatty through our session, but I actually enjoyed the good conversation in the end and her Pitty, Billy Jean, was a joy! Plenty of endorphin release was had! 4-stars though because appointment bookings are a little disorganized and they are also a bit difficult to find. When I called to make an appointment, I was immediately sent to a voice mailbox directing me to either leave a message or text my inquiries. I chose to text, but didn't receive a response until much later in the day, saying that they did indeed have an appointment available for that same day. My appointment was never confirmed, but I ventured out anyways. Since they are located in an odd area among a cluster of office buildings, I did have a hard time finding them and since I had no direct contact to anyone, I was left wandering around. I did eventually find the unmarked suite. Just know that they are facing Arjons Dr. Upon walking in, it was strange since no receptionist greeted me. There were instructions to start filling out paperwork in the conference room off to the side though and a sign saying that a massage was in progress. I had to wait around until Jen appeared because I wasn't sure if my appointment was confirmed. Thankfully, I was set! Update: the reason more people haven't left bad reviews is because of this stalker lady here on Yelp sends messages to scare off any bad reviews, after leaving my input (which I would love to discuss with the business owner in order to help them out, and would gladly edit at any point where it is deserved) I got a nasty message from this lady (picture attached) ..not a great representation for a business if you ask me. Yikes! Let's start off by saying, yes I want to support this small business, & it has potential...but someone also needs to tell it like it is! Upon arrival to my 2:30 appointment I made (I had called a week in advance) I was surprised to see it is an office building with a narrow hallway and the door said "massage in session" on it. Having never been here it was very awkward as I didn't know where to check in or what to do. There was no one to greet me or a sign in sheet and NO waiting area or chair since its in the middle of the hall. I waited since I was a a few minutes early, nothing. Then I thought maybe they accidentally left the sign on massage in session & that they could be waiting so I slowly tested the door handle to see... Someone was in there! Getting a massage! Oops! I saw two massage beds, one in use so I quickly shut the door! How awkward! What was I supposed to do? Just sit & wait outside in the hallway? At this point I called the number on the groupon, Maurice, who took my call the first time, answered & clearly there was a scheduling error, as they weren't expecting me. I know I didn't get this wrong. He said he would call me back with a time. At that point the lady in the room comes out & days my appointment was at 3:00 not 2:30 & acted like I shouldn't have opened the door... Well apparently they moved the 3:00 to 4 to squeeze me in so I waited & Maurice hurried over and got there by 3:05, they had me fill out papers (which had someone else's info on the back ) he brought me to the room, this was a little weird knowing he was doing the massage & he was the one doing the bookings, so I was skeptical that this was the receptionist filling in but he was still pretty good. It was a good massage then it was over. With all that extra unnecessary stuff & waiting my hour massage was now a 45-50 min. Crammed in. I think scheduling is the most important thing for a good massage business. My suggestion to this business with the current set up (I know you're moving so it could be better later) in the office building like that, a good business needs to space their appointments out at least 15 mins so you can greet the client, change sheets & not be so rushed. The client should never have to wait here since there's no direction on where to wait or anything. I understand this could be a scheduling error so possibly the ability to book online or hire a person to answer phones & schedule properly would be nice. Some kind of guidance or something would be great upon arrival. Something on the door... Some kind of message or email confirmation... Something. Anything. Maurice was very flexible with scheduling an appointment, as I called in Sunday morning for a same day appointment and was accommodated perfectly. The area is very unassuming but the actual massage room is very professional looking and relaxing. Both Maurice and Emily made us feel very comfortable. The massage itself was fantastic. They really pay attention to stress points that you articulate, so be sure to let them know where exactly you're feeling sore or ache. There were a few moments where I zoned out completely. One of the most relaxing and stress relieving experiences we've ever had. Definitely would recommend to anyone new to massages or frequent goers. I am so glad my wife convinced me to try it one more time. Beyond Massage is located in a commercial area around Miramar and the building they are located in is very clean including their bathroom which says a lot. The specialist that worked on my sore back was Emily. She is very nice and down to earth. Her style and techniques showed that she knew what she was doing and did a great job. This is a late review, but I felt so strongly about my experience that I wanted to let the owner know how sketchy his "employee" is, if she even is an employee. First off, I scheduled an appointment and EMILY was late. Not a big deal, but she also had a bad attitude that made it worse. She acted like she was doing me a favor, and the whole room set up was not the cleanest or neatest. Smelled of pot. Not sure if she was going through some personal stuff, but she had horrible customer service, with her RBF. If she was having a bad day, she should have cancelled my appointment bec the price I paid for a mediocre massage was definitely not worth it. Says she is certified but when I checked the state of CA, she was not listed on the board. Like I said, SHADY AF. I saw how she stalked another customer who left an honest review, which is totally unprofessional. So much for honing your craft. My fiance schedules the appointments through Maurice, who is always a pleasure to speak with. Emily has been doing my past 2 massages, and they are great! Very sketchy establishment, both massage therapists didn't really know what they were doing. It was supposed to be an hour and it was only 40 min. It was just a really creepy experience. My wife and I have had 3 or 4 couples massages and this one was by far the worst. We both felt worse on the way out than we did going in. We told them we didn't want our faces touched, they did. Wow! My husband and I just left from our couples massage with Maurice and Michelle. They were awesome! Very attentive to what we wanted in a massage and focused on our problem areas. Michelle found some spots I have that I didn't even know about haha! My husband has a hard time getting the pressure he needs from most therapists! Not Maurice, he truly delivered and my husband was so happy with his massage. The suite is so cozy and modern the decor is beautiful, the music is relaxing and you don't hear any outside noises. She fixed it it completely in 1 hour. She understands the problems and concentrate on it rather than doing her regular massage. They made sure to recognize where we would have the most pain based on what we said. I felt like I was just getting lotion rubbed on me no type of pressure and it was just lazily done ... my legs and feet were barley touched not sure what the therapist was even doing half the time .
