But ever since Coco left a couple of months ago, I've been going to Helen, and honestly, she's amazing! Helen's Thai and deep tissue massages are on another level. Her technique is super precise, and you can tell she truly knows what she is doing and how to release tension in just the right way. She's strong, intuitive, and really pays attention to what you need even with the language barrier. All of this attention for a fair price. Here you lie down on a massage table and they wash your hair and give you a scalp massage with some face and neck for about 45 min. They shampoo and condition you twice, then dry and comb your hair. The best part is that they then remove the hair wash sink and you flip over for a full back and shoulder massage for the last 15 min. I think this is better than the typical $100+ head spa service. The comb, hair dryer, table and sink were all very clean and I left feeling super relaxed. There's also an option to do a 30 min foot massage along with this head spa service which I thought was cool. I will be back!

When I came to the shop I was met by this lady who lacked customer service, no smile, already ready to ask why I don't upgrade to a full hour. Before the front desk lady told the massage lady about the massage they had a small exchange and the energy already seemed off. The massage itself was Half assed too. Pressure sucked. She only did one side and not even the full body. This place is mid it was like massage therapist was hardly trying and did what would take the least amount of effort. I would highly suggest you time your sessions----when it starts and look where it ended. I would hate for you to get cheated out of your paid service like I did.

I came in and asked if I could be seen when I got off later in the day and do 45 mins with May. They scheduled me and I came back with cash since I saw that cash was a small discount vs card. I paid in advance (that's no problem for me) and had cash still for tip after the massage. The massage itself was in a single room and I was able to go over what was bothering me specifically and what I felt I might need. May was amazing in that she listened and focused on these areas nearly the entire massage, while also still working on other parts to make sure I got a full body as advertised. I'm the kind of person that likes a deeper tissue massage, I do a lot of working out and fitness related activities like golf, running, lifting so my back and hips get out of wack often. I wasn't sure if May would give enough pressure, but I was pleasantly surprised, she gave intense pressure point release on all the areas I needed, and even found more knots I didn't know were in that same area. I couldn't move my back very well to one side before coming in and after I got up to leave I could move freely everywhere. She had water and candy waiting for me by the front desk where she waited to say bye and thank you and I gave her a tip up front as I said thank you also. She gave me her business card and asked for me to make an appointment to come back if I liked the service. This could not have been a better first experience both from the standpoint of getting a specific massage and not something cookie cutter and generic, but also the level of pressure that you don't find everywhere. May is great, and the price is more than fair. Will be coming back for future appointments.

His technique is strong, precise, and super effective. He finds the tight spots right away and works them out without making it feel too rough. You can tell he understands the body really well. Tony is also very professional and makes you feel comfortable throughout the whole session. If you're dealing with chronic muscle tension or just need a proper deep massage, I highly recommend giving him a try. He's helped me a ton.

After a while it cooled off significantly so I think they turned the A/C on when I arrived. I thought I read there was supposed to be aromatherapy during the massage, but if there was I didn't get that experience. I also had to wait 10 minutes for their masseuse to arrive and wasn't given the option between male or female, so they gave me a guy which was awkward for me as I (female) was completely naked and felt exposed at times. He did do a nice job though. I read other reviews saying they didn't have privacy, but that wasn't my experience. I had privacy to change and while getting my massage, the door was closed and they knocked before coming in. It was a bit hard to communicate with each other as they didn't speak fluent English and English is my only language (I am unsure which other languages they spoke).

We didn't know what to expect since all my bro did was laugh before we went into our separate rooms. Overall, I was satisfied with the amount of pressure given. I'm still puzzled with some of the tactics they used, however. You get a foot massage, face/scalp/neck massage, back and leg massage. All great, but then you get stretched out in various positions, which may feel uncomfortable for some. When I was asked to lay flat on my stomach, they asked you to remove your clothing (shirt/bra) - totally unexpected since the doors leading into the room were wide open. Then all of a sudden, the chick totally straddled me and used her knees to rub my back. OKKKKKKKK..... CJ was with me in my room and all I heard from his masseur was "Are you ok?" I think he was getting tortured since I heard a lot of popping and slapping coming from his side. I couldn't help but to laugh in my head. I did feel a bit more relaxed, although I still had my knot in my shoulders from my run. I looked over at CJ and his back was super red. All he said was, "I didn't know we were going to get beat up!" Hey, a 1 hour massage for $25 (with tip) - it was worth the torture...

HEATED BAMBOO THAI MASSAGE (5 stars + meteor shower + star…read morelinks) This is one of the best Thai Massages I've had in San Diego! Hurt so good, went home so relaxed and limber. :: BOOK :: I am no stranger to Thai Massages! Do not mistake my small figure as fragile - I have a high tolerance for what is to come. I booked in advance a Bamboo Thai Massage because I never had a massage with Bamboo and needed to try it. I followed the owner from a previous place but upon booking she was not available the day I was coming and picked Nita for a 75m session. I read each of their backgrounds and had a hard time selecting because they all sounded amazing but went with Nita because her profile showed 15+ years of experience. :: EXPERIENCE :: Upon arrival, several of the women treated me (they were so genuine and kind). The place is clean and legit. I was escorted to the room and Just like any other Thai Massage, you take off all our clothes except for your panties (or underwear) and lay on the massage bed with a light bedsheet over you. The room looked like a typical Thai Massage room. I had alot of tightness, knots, and soreness on my back muscles and needed strong presser for this session. Nita had the hands and strength for that. I love pressure and can tolerate it - most times I have to tell someone to apply more. Nita applied perfect strong pressure I was looking for. She even kept checking on me to see if I was okay of it was too much - yah my ooh's and ahh's were not silent! I was 100% okay thru the session. it hurt SO good! She did a phenomenal job giving me a good Thai massage and even noticed the tightness and knots. She focused on all the right places with the right amount of pressure. Heated Bamboo. The temperature is similar to hot stones but since it's wood the heat isn't kept and the rotation of bamboos to reheat was needed. However, I did enjoy the bamboos, the shape gets in narrow or curved areas better than heated stones. The session was not entirely heated bamboo, it was mostly a Thai massage and then a session with the heated bamboos. I lost track of time - this massage was fantastic. Nita even massaged a little extra out of kindness which really made my day. Everything felt so good - HIGHLY RECOMMEND I now know not to wait too long for a massage and to treat myself to this place much more often. Love this place! Until the next massage....

I came in with very tight muscles and lots of tension, but afterward I felt like a bowl of jelly (in a really good way). I prefer a strong, deep tissue massage that will be effective in relieving muscle tension. I especially enjoyed my 2-hour massage with Jane, the owner. I really liked her technique, and she was able to identify and target my knots. Her pressure was spot-on using a combination of hands, knuckles, elbows, and walking on my back. During my session, she suggested that I try cupping and the bamboo massage, and I'm glad I agreed. She implemented the cupping and bamboo into my session, and I think this really helped loosen my muscles as well. I can tell that Jane really cares about her customers, and wants to help them feel better by providing a great experience. The location has plenty of easy parking, and the inside is clean and quiet. Massage beds are large, heated, and comfortable. They offer early bird discounts if you book early on a weekday, and also have a military discount. Even without the discount, pricing is very reasonable for the exceptional service. It makes it tempting to come in often for a massage! I think I'll definitely become a regular customer here.
