They were here last year for the month of October, and it seems they've returned for the same time this year. There's plenty of parking in this area, and it's conveniently situated next to the newly opened Dollar Tree. Out of all the Spirit Halloween stores I've visited, this one is definitely one of the nicer ones. It's larger, with more space to move around, cleaner, and much better organized, with fewer crowds compared to other locations. Right when you walk in, you're greeted by impressive Halloween displays and moving animatronics. These are available for purchase but tend to be on the pricier side. The technology behind these displays seems to have evolved, with some animatronics even featuring sensor tracking--so their faces move as if they're watching you. This year, it seems they're going for a carnival theme, with decor like the "Wheel of Fate," "Down the Duck," and "World Famous Side Shows" stage, complete with a ticket booth and a walk-through "Fun House." It's all very inventive and adds to the spooky atmosphere. There's a huge selection of Halloween-related items here, from costumes to accessories. You'll find masks, pumpkin carving kits, and an extensive collection of costumes. They have everything from the classic skeletons and ghosts to themed characters. I was particularly impressed by the Spongebob, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Five Nights at Freddy's, and Harry Potter sections. However, the costumes are on the expensive side--for example, the Squidward inflatable costume is a hefty $59.99! Some of these costumes, like Mermaid Man & Barnacle Boy, could easily be made for cheaper with a bit of DIY effort. Regardless, if you're looking to get into the Halloween spirit, this is a great spot to visit. The displays are fun, the selection is wide, and even though the prices can be high, it's still worth checking out for the experience alone.

Best. Store. Ever…read more They have EVERYTHING! And the prices are *chef's kiss*! I was originally searching for a bath exhaust fan when I found this business online. I saw they had a HUGE inventory of everything I could possibly want. Even better, they had the exact brand and models of everything I had been researching online and looking for -- Panasonic Whisper series for the fan, Samsung counter-depth fridge, Kohler tub, etc. Their prices and inventory are amazing, but the best part was the people working there. I have never met a friendlier and more helpful group! Marlon, Cassie, Leslie made my buying experience so enjoyable, painless and convenient. Leslie was so patient and kind when I first called to confirm availability of stock, and Marlon offered good insights and went out of his way to move big appliances aside for me so I could get a better look and feel for the things I wanted to see. Marlon even threw in extra deals for me without me asking - which was such a cherry on top of it all. Cassie rang me up, and she was so sweet to even offer to carry some of the heavy boxes for me to my car. (I did not let her because her frame is too tiny and that's what my giant husband is for!) They even delivered everything to my house an hour after I left the store. Their service was so fast and efficient. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone who is searching for any house appliances/goods, as they have the BEST prices (waaaay better than Amazon and eBay) and truly the nicest and friendliest staff. Thank you so much! I have already told my neighbors (and anyone who will listen) about this place since they're starting their bathroom renovation, and I will definitely be back!

It was smaller than I had expected and the parking lot had one other car. (Nobody can find it...) Yelp indicated they are closed on weekends but I called to confirm. They have shorter hours onnthe weekends so call them if you want to check them out on the weekend. There was one female employee who greeted us and a malenemployee who was unloading pallets of products. They have appliances, random light fixtures, mishmash of cabinets, etc. If you have something specific you are looking for, you may luck out but I didn't find anything to purchase. The appliances have small dents but are brand new and come with limited 1 year warranty, according to the male employee who was unloading things. My husband noticed a proce tag of $800 on a pallet that was still wrapped in plastic and had a lot of different things. He guessed it's probably returned things on Amazon & they auction them off by the pallet. They had Frigidaire refrigerators & ghe male employee informed us they came directly from the distributors as the boxes were damaged - hence the dents on the refrigerators. I took a picture of the building to help people find this place.

I actually didn't know he even realized it. He stopped by this store just down the hill from where we live and they were so helpful. They were able to accommodate and found just what he was looking for. Now the problem is, I swear, wherever I go she is watching me. My dogs think so too as they peek around the corner to see if she's still there. He stopped by to thank them today and they asked him to pick out something for me. He walked in the house so proud with a new gift. It just happened to be Valentine's Day, so it worked out great for him. :) Thank you so much!! He enjoyed shopping at your store (he's the shopper in the family) as much as I loved the gift.

They showed remarkable kindness and warmth to a random customer, and they really were a highlight of my week! They took time out of their day to listen and make recommendations, and their store is a real oasis of treasures and positivity. That alone carries so much nostalgia for me. Walking into the new spot definitely feels different. It's hard not to compare it to what it used to be. The old location always felt full, lively, and kind of like a staple in the community. This new space feels quieter and honestly a bit empty, which made me a little sad. I even noticed signs asking customers to come in and support, which makes me wonder what's going on behind the scenes. Price wise, I've always known Broken Horn to have occasional good sales, but overall it's usually not the best deal in town. I recently went in specifically looking for a pooper scooper they used to carry years ago because it was amazing and I genuinely wanted to support local instead of ordering on Amazon. Unfortunately, they didn't have it. The only similar option was plastic and priced the same as what I could get online, so it just didn't make sense. I ended up ordering from Amazon, which I honestly hated doing because I would've preferred to give them the business. That said, I'm still giving them an honorary five out of five purely because of the memories and what this place meant growing up in Baldwin Park. They still offer dog vaccines, which is a huge plus for the community and something I appreciate. I really hope they find their footing again and make whatever adjustments are needed to bring back that special feeling the old location had. Broken Horn has history here, and I genuinely want to see it thrive again.
