Words cannot describe how grateful I am to have Heather as my hair and makeup artist on my wedding day. First and foremost, she is an absolutely wonderful human being- she has a warm and calming presence and really sets you at ease, especially during stressful moments of your wedding day. She is great at reading people and understanding your vision of what you would like to look like. I'm pretty sure I wasn't great at communicating what I wanted and somehow, she translated what little I gave her into something even better than what I had envisioned. I went with a very romantic-meets-glam style of hair and makeup and was BEYOND happy. My bridesmaids were nervous about having their hair up since they're used to seeing dated-looking up-do's. But after the wedding, many of them pulled me aside and said how much they loved their hair. Their modern up-do's looked like they were straight out of Pinterest- flowing and beautiful! I was particularly blown away by Heather's make up skills (I actually asked her if I can take some lessons with her in the future!). She is an extremely skilled artist who enhances your features without making you look cakey or unrecognizable. I received a multitude of compliments from many of my friends who were brides before and had the scary 'I have too much makeup on my face' moment with their weddings- they all were floored at how natural and beautiful her makeup turned out to be. Heather did a wonderful job! She did my wedding hair and makeup. She also did hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and a few family members. Heather was very sweet, professional, and talented. She graciously accommodated a last minute request and stayed late to make sure everything got done perfectly. Her prices were very reasonable and everyone loved the results. She really tries to make your look match the event and your "vision" for the day. My sister has short hair and didn't really know what she wanted and Heather made it look fantastic. She also really tries to understand your hair and skin type. For example, I wanted the airbrushed makeup. However, I have dry skin and so she recommended I get the traditional makeup (which was also cheaper). I went with her recommendation and it looked amazing. Trying to plan a wedding from out of town, I was nervous about not having my stylist that has done my hair and helped me with makeup tips and tricks for the last 15 years there on my big day. I found Heather searching many reviews and wedding websites online and I'm so grateful that I did! Heather is the BEST. She is the sweetest thing and she did an absolutely amazing job on not only my bridal hair AND makeup but on my four bridesmaids hair and makeup as well ... a total of 10 services! Her prices are extremely reasonable as well! Our wedding was on Hilton Head Island and Heather traveled from Savannah to the condo where we were getting ready with all of her tools and supplies. She was very prompt and professional while still being super friendly and sweet. We all had a great time talking and hanging out during the 7 hours that she was there getting us ready! She was still there finishing up when things started to get hairy ... photographer arriving, family arriving, getting dressed, cleaned up, etc yet she remained focused and got the job done beautifully! I want to start out by saying Heather was very nice but if I had to do it all over again, I would not have chosen Heather. Our wedding day was hectic due to storms preventing our outside wedding and everything needing to be moved and changed. So needless to say when I made it to the house for hair and makeup, I was needing some good music and time with family to unwind before my wedding. Turns out due to some medical condition, Heather asked for music not to be played but the tv turned to a hallmark movie at a low volume. Everyone's make had been done but mine and their makeup was soo heavy and unnatural... my 18 year old daughter did not look like herself. I expressed I did not want heavy make up ... very natural, as did my soon to be wife which she dismissed. My daughter's hair turned out beautiful but the rest of the services not at all. I ended up last minute wiping as much of mine off as I could without starting over. I picked heather based on her photography on line but was not at all what I got. I spent a lot of money and ended up with wedding pictures that I wish I could wipe half of everyone's make up off... they looked so unnatural!! read more
