I booked an appointment here for the first time and chose a Top Stylist because I wanted to make…read moresure I was in good hands. Before starting, the stylist and I spent about 5-10 minutes discussing exactly what I wanted, as well as the texture of my hair. My hair is naturally very curly and frizzy, and I explained that I wanted long layers and face-framing pieces while keeping the majority of my length. I specifically told her that I don't typically style my hair, so I needed the layers to remain long enough for me to wear my hair naturally and for the overall length to stay past my shoulders. She seemed to completely understand what I was asking for and agreed with me. Once she started cutting, I noticed that she was taking significantly more length off than I had expected. I tried to stay calm throughout the appointment, but I did express my concern and said, "Wow, it's really short." At that point, I was honestly in shock. She tried to reassure me by saying that maybe I just wasn't used to seeing myself with shorter hair, but I knew that wasn't what I had asked for. We had specifically discussed keeping my length and doing long layers, yet I left with my hair much shorter than I wanted and with noticeably choppier layers. I did reach out to a manager afterward, and I want to acknowledge that they were very professional and completely refunded me for the service, which I appreciated. I'm writing this review because I was told the situation was essentially due to miscommunication and that I should have brought in a reference photo. While I understand that photos can certainly be helpful, I personally don't feel that a reference photo should be necessary when you spend 5-10 minutes clearly communicating with a professional stylist about the length and type of haircut you want. The stylist, Tatiana, was very kind, and this review is not meant to attack her personally. I'm simply very confused about how a conversation about keeping my length, having long layers, and wearing my hair naturally resulted in my hair being cut significantly shorter with choppier layers. My biggest takeaway from this experience is that if you are getting even a simple trim or long layers, bring a reference photo--even if you feel like you've clearly explained what you want. I would hate for someone else to have the same experience I did. I shared photos of what my hair looked like before and what it looks like now.

I have only been to a salon to get my hair bleached twice in my life. I know how to bleach my own hair. I went here because my mom goes here and recommended It. First off I scheduled an appmt over the phone for 3pm on a Tuesday. I show up. They go oh you don't have an appointment. Ok. They didn't offer to make it better. They didn't discount me or work me in. They just said come back tomorrow. Ok. Came back for a scheduled bleach and toner. I said I don't want gray or yellow/orange. I said I don't like silver or old lady white. I just want an ashy blonde that doesn't look yellow. Hannah bleached my hair. I told her it burned the entire time and she said that's normal. Ok. I had claustrophobia and she didn't care at all or offer to stop and rinse it out. I even asked can we skip my scalp and she just laughed. Ok Then came the toner. She put me off onto another person to do the toner because she'd double booked herself and that person was more important apparently. So she goes to cut and blow dry and shampoo other people while leaving me with an assistant. The toner came out yellow which is what I didn't want. So she tells her assistant to do it again. They do a different toner and it was burning so while she was washing someone else's hair I asked can someone come rinse this out? And she said ok. And she rinsed it out. Guess her assistant left. Then we go blow dry it. And I'm immediately shocked. To tears. It was like senior gray hair. Absolutely hated it. I looked like I was wearing a wig. Her solution - dawn dish soap. That's what she said to do. I don't even use dawn to wash dishes. I'm not putting it on my head. They charged me over $200 for something l said I didn't like cause it made me look like a senior. After THREE hours of an appointment I left crying in my car with a throbbing headache from the chemicals and my scalp feels burnt and my hair feels brittle as a crisp. The place reeks of formaldehyde and chemicals and there are no air purifiers or ventilation. I am posting what I asked for. The cut and color. And I'm posting what she did. My mom sees Tori and I've heard Tori does a good job. They should invest in air purifiers. I washed my hair out 7 times and got most of the gray out. Besides feeling like an unwanted client by how I was treated, I've heard other people have good experiences. Guess it's my luck. Hopefully you have a better experience.

I'm new to the area, and you know how hard it is to find a good stylist you like...I had my last stylist for almost 12 years. I'm 53, getting a noticeable grey/silver strip on top of my head that's getting hard to hide...so Ive decided to try to embrace it. I came to the reviews on here and read one of the first ones and it mentioned Carolina. Ok. I'm gonna give it a go. Called up and had an appointment for later in the week. First appointment went well. Going in she did explain to get to the level of lightness I wanted might take a couple of visits. I was a little warmer than I liked, but the color was still nice. 2nd visit?! BAM! She took me a little darker in the warmer spots and definitely took me to the level of blonde that blends perfect with my grey/silver streak. Perfect dimension and color! I love it. I definitely recommend Carolina.

I turned her into the better business bureau and she is so unprofessional she did not respond! STAY AWAY! 3/8/2014 Saw Elizabeth. Worst haircut I have ever had. Had hair almost to my waist...Asked for 4 inches off, got at least 6. Told her that I wanted long layers, got layers that were at least 4 inches from the bottom of my hair, very choppy and only on the right side of my head. Told her I was growing my bangs out which were almost even with the rest of my hair (took about 2 years to grow out), asked for a little blending so it wasn't so choppy. Got "face framing" layers that go as high as my chin and extend back at least to my ear. Then got to pay $50 for a "long" hair cut....wtf, my hair isn't even long anymore! Avoid! Update 3/09/2014 - Elizabeth Fornespierantoni (Jensen) stated her services were "fully guaranteed". After washing and blow drying my hair and seeing the extent of the chunks all over the right side of my hair, I told her of my dissatisfaction. She offered to "fix" it. I declined as it is impossible to fix. She never once offered to refund my money. She responded to me with a very unprofessional text that stated she had nothing more to say to me, have a nice day, goodbye. She doesn't care. It's not her that has to look at this mess everyday and grow it out over the course of a few years. Unbelievable.
